Difficulties arising from individual planning in a particular old people's home

This diploma thesis analyzes the current situation of the individual planning of social services in a particular home for the elderly. It attempts to focus on uncovering the causes of partial failures in the individual planning process from the perspective of key employees. Therefore, the main research question of this diploma thesis is: "What are the problematic aspects of individual planning in a particular home for the elderly?" The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on the legislative basis for the social services, including a definition of home services for the elderly, quality of social services, principles and specifics of individual planning with the elderly, and the role of the key employee in the system of individual planning during the provision of social services. In the introduction of the empirical part, the choice of qualitative research strategy has been justified where the technique of collecting data was described, units of the research were defined, the main research question was operationalized, and the research organization was described. The empirical part includes an analysis and interpretation of the findings from the research. Creation process of strategic plan in non-profit organization

This diploma thesis deals with the description and reflection of the strategic planning process in a non-profit organization. From the theoretical foundation, presented in the first part of this thesis, the author creates a model of the methods by introducing the strategic approach into the praxis of management in the chosen non-profit organization. In the practical part of this thesis she describes and reflects the process of participative establishment of the strategic plan for one of the services of this organization. In the conclusion of the thesis she deduces from the practical findings some recommendations. Possibilities of Tyfloservis's Workers Support as an Instrument of Burn-out Syndrom Prevention and Supply of Regular Quality Development of Provided Services

This thesis deals with the provision of social services in the context of the organization Tyfloservis, ops It focuses on the possibilities of support staff in direct work with clients to ensure professionalism in the provision of these services and their continuous development. This applies especially personnel management strategies as a means to ensure the quality of social services. This includes defining specific roles and competencies of social workers in Tyfloservis, system selection and training of new employees and additional support resources, including professional development planning process. The aim is to evaluate the existing system of selection, training and other support staff Tyfloservis compared with findings from the literature and our own experience as a social worker and manager in this context to suggest a change. The proposal I would like to rely on the definition of specific roles of the social worker in Tyfloservis and the resulting competencies. Create an inventory of competencies is another aim of the thesis. Lada Furmaníková, Ph.D. Abstract This work discuss setting organization of public administration - municipal authority - to organizational changes. The main method of research are semi-structured interviews, taken with all the staff and management of the organization. After closer introduction shows the village as legally and historically established organizations in our society, describes the contextual influences on the changes as public administration, politics and bureaucracy. Then will show specific factors that resists and that on the contrary support changes in organization. Based on the factors, will recommend practical measures to enable the introduction of changes, relevant to current conditions inside and outside the organization. This dissertation is putting brain to problematics of user's participation, especially to practical use of its principles in the context of social services quality, how it is defined by the new social services act from the zdar 2006. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore in detail possibilities of participation's application within the course of evaluation and raising the duality from the user's point of view. The practice aim is also to give concrete recomandation for creation of users participation methodology in social services evaluation. This work is concerned to mentally ill users and thein specific requirements in context of participation and feedback giving.

Presented master thesis is focused on education of social workers in social services, who provide direct care for mentally handicapped people. The author of this master thesis work as a senior executive in non goverment organization Portus Praha. During her professional activity in a job position as a social work supervisor, she has gained experience related to implementation and accomplishment of quality standards in social services, as well as with human resources management, team leadership and direct work with clients. In theoretical part she describes human resources management work and introduces its specification in social services. There are legislative adjustments mentioned and briefly introduced quality standards in social services. Subsequently there is also specification of social worker job position. Practical part is a target aimed research to find out how workers feel about compulsory education in this organization. The technique of documentation study in questionnaire survey and observation were used to acquire all important data. This research reveals how social workers perceive education in direct care social services and how big importance workers apply in their professional development. The quality of a communication in every organization is shown in a level of management and influence the relationship among co-workers. All at once has an impact to general organization habit and undermines the processes. Leaving the old concept of a management of organization, considering communication as a direction flow, leads to raise an awareness of a communication process itself as well as of its conditions. The diagnostic helps to recognize the current situation and identify the problematic processes displayed in a communication process flow. The theoretical part of this dissertation is devoted to the topic of an Organization and its development with reference to communication. This supports the empirical part of the dissertation where the diagnostic of an organization realized in non-profit market segment organization is presented. The subject of a thesisentitled "Setting upa System of Strategic Planning in the Parish Charity Litoměřice" is creation of a development strategy of a specific non-profit organization according tothe methods of strategic management. The work isdivided into theoretical and practical part. Theoreticalpart defines important terms, describes processes of strategic planning and depicts strategic analysis methods. SWOT analysis and results of inner and outer environment research are captured in practical part and are based on theoretical knowledge that was described in previous chapters. Results of analysis form strategic plan of whole organization. Methodology that defines procedures and describes whole process of strategic planning is then created upon the plan.

Velký důraz, který je po roce 1989 kladen na dodržováni lidských práv, se velmi výrazně odrazil i v oblasti sociálních služeb. Posilování práv občanů, uživatelů sociálních služeb, pak v průběhu 90. let 20. století nalézalo svoje vyjádření v dokumentech, jejichž cílem bylo velmi individualizovaným způsobem podpořit sociální začleňování občanů a jejich uplatnění ve společnosti. Jedním z cílů sociálních služeb se stalo umožnění důstojného života občanům tak, aby mohli prosazovat svá práva a oprávněné zájmy. Od ledna 2007 jsou principy, které odrážejí dobrou praxi v dodržování lidských práv a svobod v sociálních službách součástí zákona č. 108/2006 Sb., o sociálních službách a vyhlášky č. 505/2006 Sb. (příloha č. 2), a to v podobě tzv. Standardů kvality sociálních služeb. Právě v souvislosti s uvedenými změnami a požadavky na kvalitu prochází sociální služby transformací. Podobně, jako v jiných sociálních službách, bylo i v sociálních službách poskytovaných nevládní neziskovou organizací BONA, o.p.s. nutno zásadně přehodnotit praxi poskytovaných služeb. Persons with Cognitive Deficit due to Schizophrenia as a Target Group for Special Education

The present dissertation addresses the problem area of cognitive deficit occurring with clients suffering from schizophrenic illness, using the Domov residential social service running a special treatment scheme (hereinafter referred to only as the "Domov facility "). The cognitive deficit arising as a result of schizophrenia survives even in the illness remise period, and is characterized by decreased abilities in areas such as memory, attention, and executive functions. Deficit is pretty much resistant to any and all currently applied interventions, being a major predictor of the level of social and adaptive skills as well as for the ability to come into one 's own in ordinary everyday life.
