Multifunctional Building Křenová

The bachelors thesis deals with multifunctional building on the Křenová Street and Skořepka in Brno. The proposal is considered on the planned New urban boulevard. The main though was to form an integrated building wich will not be disrupt built-up area around. The building continuous on the existing buidings and so closes block of houses, lining the Křenová and Skořepka streets. The building is split in the three parts – administration part, shops and flats. Administration part is almost all made of glass. It was choosen orange, gray and milky color-tinted glass to make it attractive and architectual accent. Flats facade is painted in the dark and light gray color. From the facade are pulled out specific shapes. The urban development of city Brno, locality Brno-Žebětín

The aim of the Master’s thesis is a new utilisation of the former collective farm and its surroundings. The area is located in the town district of Brno – Žebětín and comes under the areas of brownfield of Brno. The purpose of urban design was to create a functional living organism that will respect the needs of society in this area, the values, topography, existing development and will be adequately connected to the transport and technical infrastructure. The resulting solution is to revitalize the Vrbovec Stream crossing the area and thus forms an imaginary axis around which all activities take place. The central part of the area is a large central space that serves to relax and also to take place various cultural events. The central area connects the existing settlement Kamechy with a suburb of Žebětín and is connected to it by another footpath to the entire territory. Being another important element of the area, the current zone of greenery will be enriched with newly planted leafy trees.

Relationships in adolescents placed in children's homes

The diploma thesis deals with romantic relationships of adolescents who have spent some time in children's homes. The aim of this thesis is to gain insights into how adolescents in children's homes view and experience romantic relationships. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition and problems of the system of institutional education in the Czech Republic, the definition of adolescence and risk factors that may influence the experience and quality of their romantic relationships. The following terms have been defined: attachment disorder, intergenerational transmission, emotional and psychological deprivation. The theoretical part concludes with the preparation for romantic and interpersonal relationships in the children's home and school environment. The main objective of the empirical part was to obtain information on the issue of partner relationships among young people living in children's homes on the basis of case studies and interviews using a qualitative research method. Eight respondents aged between 16 and 22 participated in the research. They were 4 girls and 4 boys who had spent at least 3 years in children's homes. Posouzení příčin podkorodování nátěrů a rychlosti napadení při anaerobních korozních reakcích

The present work is focused on the corrosion protection of steel structural materials. Provides a basic overview of coating system, and in detail is focusing on organic paint coating. It places emphasis on the quality of treatment of steel surfaces in the stage prior to coating in order, to maximize the elimination of defects subsequent coating systems and prolong their life. The work is experimental verification of assessing the corrosion resistance of powder coated steel parts of agricultural machinery. Part was subjected to the daily 20 test corrosion test in salt spray chamber under defined conditions (ČSN ISO 9227). In conclusion, the paper outlines one of the uses of laboratory findings in the area of technical expertise.

Diversity management: Managing people with different personality characteristics

The dissertation thesis aims at exploring the possibilities of diversity management in relation to managing people with diverse personality characteristics, at suggesting principles of such managing and at creating corresponding model so that employers could use the available human capital more efficiently and improved quality of working life of their employees as well. Based on number of primary sources, the thesis presents a detailed view of the topic, justifies its purpose and use in practice and brings the topic into broad context of human resource management. The principles of managing personality diversity are suggested, subsequently confronted with the practice in the Czech Republic and transformed into a model: Using an extensive questionnaire survey and both quantitative and qualitative analysis of gathered data, the conclusions confirm importance of the topic for human resource management in the Czech Republic, and point out the current unsatisfactory state that organizations themselves are often trying to improve. Thus, this thesis contributes significantly to better understanding of principles and established practice of managing people with different personality characteristics and offers possibilities how to introduce the topic into practice successfully.
