Study on material composition in the layer of coat produced by laser
Stranyánek, Martin
The article deals with investigation of layers produced by the laser cladding technology from viewpoint of material changes in treated area. The elements distribution was studied by scannig electron microscopy.
Analysis of abrasion of cotyles
Mandát, Dušan ; Nožka, Libor ; Hrabovský, Miroslav
The 3D optical scanning topography is one possible method of an analysis of the cotyle deformation. The object of this experiment is to quantify the decrease of cotyle material. The scanning object is polyethylene coxa cotyle ABG1.The cotyle is a plastic fossette surounded with metal cage, which is connected with a coxa of the patients. Due to use the deformation of the surface arise.
Digitální projekční moiré topografie se dvěma projektory
Rössler, T. ; Hrabovský, Miroslav ; Pluháček, F.
The double-projector moiré topography is a well-known optical topografic method based on the projection of the shadow or light gratings onto the measured object under various angles. There can be observed except these projected gratings another structure on the record image of result intensity field. Thanks the development of computer techniques it is possible to apply another procedure.
The evaluation of the dentine surface by means of SEM & AFM after previous exposure to Nd:YAG laser
Novotný, R. ; Zapletalová, Z. ; Kubínek, R. ; Chmelíčková, Hana ; Peřina st., Jan
Dentine sensitivity is a common complaint of patients in dental offices. It is caused by the opening of dentine tubules towards the external environment. One of the procedures that seems to have a longer-lasting effect is the closure of the exposed dentinal tubules on the teeth surface by means of CO 2 laser or Nd:YAG laser.
The evaluation of the dentine surface by means of SEM & AFM after previous exposure to ND:YAG laser
Zapletalová, Z. ; Peřina st., Jan ; Novotný, R. ; Kubínek, R. ; Chmelíčková, Hana
Dentine senzitivity is a common complaint of pacients in dental offices. They are caused by the opening of dentine tubules. This may be due to enamel or cementum loss or due to the dentine exposure in the area of cementum-enamel junction. A procedure with long-lasting effect seems to be the closure of the exposed dental tubules on the teeth surface by means of CO 2 or ND:YAD laser.
Measurement of electro-optical properties of quantum-size structures based on InAs/GaAs - photocurrent and electroluminescence
Mačkal, Adam ; Hazdra, P. ; Hulicius, Eduard ; Oswald, Jiří ; Pangrác, Jiří ; Melichar, Karel ; Hospodková, Alice ; Šimeček, Tomislav
Contribution presents the electroluminescence, photoabsorption and polarization properties of semiconductor lasers with thin strained InAs layers in GaAs at elevated temperatures. The lasers exhibit high optical recombination efficiency, low threshold current density and wide temperature operation range (above 100řC).
The use of genetically modified organisms for soil remediation
Pavlíková, D. ; Macek, Tomáš ; Macková, M. ; Balík, J.
The efficiency of soil remediation using microorganisms or plants is low. With the use of genetic engineering it is feasible to manipulate a capacity of organisms to tolerate, metabolize and/or accumulate pollutants.
Cadmium uptake by transgenic tobacco and its use for phytoremediation
Javorská, H. ; Pavlíková, D. ; Macek, Tomáš ; Najmanová, J.
The aim of this work was to investigate potential of transgenic tobacco to tolerate and accumulate cadmium in biomass and find out the best transgenic line.
The use of transgenic plants for the remediation of soils contaminated with cadmium
Čásová, K. ; Pavlíková, D. ; Macek, Tomáš ; Najmanová, J.
Study investigates if genetically modified tobaccos have higher ability to accumulate and tolerate cadmium, and to compare their phytoextraction characteristics with other plant species.
Znalosti z hlediska genderu a úvodní poznámky k přeformování ‚normální' vědy
Linková, Marcela
Over the past thirty years, we have seen a proliferation of feminist theories of knowledge. The author looks into the various streams of thought in feminist epistemologies and into the impact of gender on production of knowledge. Last but not least she outlines strategies adopted by women scientists in research institutions adopted to negotiate their gender role in such institutions
