Personal perspectives of the citizens and their relationship to social policy

The paper is based on a comparison of the attitudes of the Czech, Hungarian and Polish publics. Into their conceptions of social and life certainties is projected the continuing process of adaptation of the citizens to new existential conditions, their considerable degree of uncertainty and difficulty in anticipating the future. These attitudes influence the overall evaluation of social policy as well as specific measures. Social policy ought to be conceived and implemented in due regard to these contexts.

The bachelor thesis examines external relations of the European Union with developing countries. It seeks causes of the asymmetry of economic development in the world, describes the EU's development policy since establishment of its predecessor, the European Community, and the development cooperation of its member, the Czech Republic. Finally, in a form of a questionnaire survey, it investigates the attitudes of Czech and Slovak students to international development cooperation and compares it with the public opinion of EU-27 nations.
The influence of news service on the public opinion: The case study broadcast 168 hours

The thesis deals with a concept of public opinion in connection with the influece of media. It follows the genre of news service, as a key part of media that are within the reach of social and political actio in the future. The first part presents the teoretical basics of news service and its components. The important definition of the candour criteria and also the normative requirements of news service in democratic regimes that form the media in the role of democracy keeper and define the other function for the sociaty as well, are to be found in the first section of the thesis. The analytical part concentraces on the case of broadcast 168 hours that represents an overview of a the week's course of events. The analysis emplasizes the work towards emotional influence on the viewer and finds coherence between the influence of the broadcast and the viewer's social and political awareness. The goal of the thesis is to discuss the consequences of such a specific kind of news broadcast as the 168 hours on the public opinion and the connection with the viewers and their future social and political life that can be represented and seen also throughout the election.
The Influence of Aeroflot’s PR Communication on Public Opinion

The thesis titled "The Influence of Aeroflot's PR Communication on Public Opinion" points out the "PR activity - newspaper article - public awareness and opinion" chain. The objective of the thesis is to point out the relationships between the individual parts of the chain and the overall impact of PR activities on the general public's awareness and opinion. The thesis focuses on the issues of Public Relations in the case of Aeroflot's PR communication at the time when the company was interested in acquiring Czech Airlines. The document also includes an analysis of the media outputs that were published about Aeroflot in the period under review and the subsequent research illustrating the general public's awareness of and opinion on the matter.
Political marketing and presidential election in USA

The main topic of my diploma thesis is political marketing and presidential election in USA in 2008. Firstly, I described American society through its demographic, racial, social and religious aspects. Then I wrote about public opinion and political socializing of individuals, how they are created and learned through individuals' lives. Political ideology in USA is represented by two mainstream political trends: liberals and conservatives. Thesis then describes strategy in politics, planning of political campaigns and marketing communication in politics. Second part of my thesis describes presidential election in USA in 2008. Introduction is focused on two main candidates: Barack Obama and John McCain. Then it continues with main points and highlights of each presidential campaign. Special part is focused on presidential debates which are very popular in American society. Besides main candidates, thesis describes also vice president candidates and wives of presidential candidates. The final part of the thesis is focused on financial aspect of elections and funding in politics.
Perspektivy vstupu Turecka do EU: postoje veřejnosti a politiků v členských zemích EU

Cílem práce je zhodnotit, zda v budoucnu dojde ke vstupu Turecka do EU. Prostředkem je komprace postojů politiků a veřejnosti. Práce nejdříve krátce seznamuje s vývojem vzájemných vztahů, dále upozorňuje na sporné otázky a klady případného vstupu Turecka do EU. Dále je konfrontován názor evropských občanů vycházející z veřejného mínění a oficiální postoje Komise a evropských politiků k vyjednávání a budoucímu možnému vstupu Turecka do EU.
