Stať vychází ze srovnání postojů české, maďarské a polské veřejnosti. V pojetí sociálních a životních jistot se promítá stále probíhající proces adaptace občanů na nové životní podmínky, jejich značná míra nejistoty a obtížné anticipace budoucí situace. Tyto postoje ovlivňují celkové hodnocení sociální politiky i konkrétních opatření. Sociální politika by měla být koncipována a uváděna do praxe tak, aby brala v potaz i tyto souvislosti. The paper is based on a comparison of the attitudes of the Czech, Hungarian and Polish publics. Into their conceptions of social and life certainties is projected the continuing process of adaptation of the citizens to new existential conditions, their considerable degree of uncertainty and difficulty in anticipating the future. These attitudes influence the overall evaluation of social policy as well as specific measures. Social policy ought to be conceived and implemented in due regard to these contexts.
