Mobile Machineries Used for Grinding of Aggregates and Recycled Materials
Špunar, Martin ; Malášek, Jiří (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis provides a survey and comparison of individual mobile devices used for crushing of aggregates and recycled materials from building waste with output from 50 tonnes/hour. The following categories are compared: configuration of individual units of machine, their drives and how their mobility is ensured. The introduction explains the basic concepts, main classification of crushers and the requirements put upon them. The body of the thesis classifies and briefly describes crushing technologies in terms of mobility, provides a survey of mobile crushers and their parameters as produced by leading foreign and home manufacturers. Further the individual mobile crushers are compared. Finally the development trends of mobile crushing technologies are reviewed.
Methods of environmentally friendly carcass disposal
Blažek, Pavel ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
In the thesis we deal with a summary of all available methods of disposal of environmentally friendly vehicles that are currently available. Addressing this problem is to find appropriate procedure, thereby simplifying and reducing the cost of processing vehicles. We also deal with this issue in terms of legislative, therefore a summary of the law on dealing with waste vehicles. The aim of this work is to introduce the methods of processing whole vehicles as well as various parts of cars and find the most appropriate methods of disposal
Cold recycling
Šperka, Pavel ; Stehlík, Dušan (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the processing of knowledge of flexible pavements cold recycling, especially on the technologies if full depth reclamation and partial cold recycling in-place and the benefits or reasons for the increased use in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis the current status of selected sections, which were made by practical cold in-place recycling technology, is evaluated. In the end of the work the success of this technology is evaluated.
Analysis for the production of foam glass using alternative raw materials
Janák, Petr ; Brožovský, Jiří (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
Due to rapid technological development and continuously increasing amount of waste, people aim their emphasis at the enviromental protection and using of secondary raw materials. Glass has a high potential as a secondary raw material, because it is practically 100% recyclable. One way how to use the glass cullet is a production of foam glass. This Bachelor‘s thesis mainly deals with the possibilities of using recycled cullet and forecasting of alternative raw materials that can be used as foaming agents in the manufacture of foam glass.
Water management in buildings
Kozub, Josef ; Raček, Jakub (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
This thesis deals with the use of gray water and rain. In this thesis is a comparison of utilization in the Czech Republic and abroad and the financial savings arising in the use of these waters. Composition and permitted limits for dealing with these waters, individual adjustment methods, particularly for the accumulation of rainwater and gray water. Each chapter lists the recommended values and examples for application of individual technologies and examples of the use of rainwater and gray water.
Possibilities of using recycled concrete as fine aggregate replacement in cement screeds
Nováková, Iveta ; Brožovský,, jiří (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with summary of knowledge about cement-based screed with partial replacement of natural aggregates by recycled aggregates. Special emphasis is given to describing and studying characteristics of cement-based flowscreed. In this study are described feedstocks with requirements which they must meet and test methods for testing properties of screeds. One part is also given to practical application of cement-based flowscreed with partial replacement of natural aggregates by recycled aggregates.
Comparative Analysis of Selected Waste Management Systems in the United States
Brožová, Eva Antonie ; Osersová, Marta (advisor) ; Ropický, Jan (referee)
This thesis concerns a comparison of two currently the most frequently occuring recycling waste systems in the United States of America -- Single stream and Dual stream recycling systems and an assessment of feasible utilization of Single stream system in the Czech Republic. The comparison is performed from several aspects: investment costs, operating costs, costs of the processors of secondary raw materials, costs of environmental pollution caused by CO2, SO2 and NOx, capacity utilization and citizens participation in the system, focusing on a single commodity; paper and cardboard waste. As according to realized studies the systems represent different load for individual entities in the economy cost-benefit method is used for the comparison. Using this method, four collection areas and the most important beneficiaries (municipal entity, secondary raw materials processors, landfill and residents) involved in the system are analyzed in the state of Pennsylvania. None of the existing studies did not take into account costs and benefits of more than one entity so far. In the Czech Republic no such studies have been realized, therefore this issue has become the subject of this thesis. In term of costs and benefits for the municipal entity the results of realized studies coincide in results of this thesis, i.e. Dual stream recycling system is more suitable for small collection areas. However from the point of view of all the major beneficiaries results of this thesis vastly differ. Based on this analysis it can be concluded that any of the above mentioned systems is not suitable for small communities, regarding the fact the values for the Single stream system are less negative. Application of Single stream system in the Czech Republic, namely in Prague, with all its limitations (we assume costs derived from the U.S. market) comes more favorable than the currently implemented system.
Utilization of construction waste particularly recycled bricks and concrete during biodegradable waste composting
NOVÁČKOVÁ, Pavlína
It is known that certain inert substances significantly improve the process of aerobic degradation of organic mass during composting. The cause is not completely clear yet, but it improves catalytic oxidation or hydrolysis process rather than aeration at the surface of inert substance. Generally, it is not clear, whether this benefit effect occurs during synthesis process of "humification", which should happen after decay of organic mass in compost.
Reverse Logistics in Food Supply Chains
VALTA, Tomáš
For better understanding of the meaning of reverse logistics it is necessary to analyse and describe its function in a real company. In this case, the company Kaufland ČR, v. o. s. is used to fulfil these tasks. The main objective of the presented thesis is to analyse the function of reverse logistics in the company and to compare the findings with theoretical knowledge; alternatively, to try to suggest some innovations in the company.
Phosphorus Recovery from Sewage Sludge Ash
Šyc, Michal ; Kameníková, Petra ; Kruml, Matěj ; Sobek, Jiří ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Svoboda, Karel ; Punčochář, Miroslav
Sewage sludge from wastewater treatment contains significant amount of phosphorus. Phosphorus recovery from secondary sources is nowadays increasing in its significance due to high consumption and rising price. The paper presents suitable methods for phosphorus recovery from wastewater, sewage sludge and sewage sludge ash. The preliminary results of lab-scale experiments on sewage sludge ash microwave enhanced thermochemical treatment are presented as well.
