www.arthistory
Kopecká, Martina ; Šedivá, Barbora (referee) ; Stratil, Václav (advisor)
The apparent switch of the stated topic and name of the thesis from Art History to the actual name of the video Inside and Outside the Window became specifically meaningfull to me in that it reflects my own search for understanding, meaning and finding my own place in life and society. The term art history becomes one of many symbols of understanding and learning about a certain topic and it's value system. History of Art and it's evolution is first presented as a unified story, to be learned and accepted on face value as the only truth. But at a certain point it begins to unravel and fall apart and one is forced to doubt exactly those learned and accepted values. What was once accepted as observed or directly experienced is suddenly questioned not only through historical revaluation, but also personal introspection, rejection of absorbed values and a search for new and inherent personal values. But I myself am becoming a part of history and I am no longer the observer, but become the observed and I begin to realise that the newly discovered values are just a revised version of the old and learned ones.

Dosoudil, Petr ; Krkoš, Radko (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The theses explains the Evolution Packet System (EPS) and subsystem IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). It also informs how these systems cooperate and through which interfaces the main data and signals between these two technologies are transfered. The thesis includes practical section, in which installation and configuration of sections of the IMS system including its "core", and application and medial server. For verification of the functionality of the system, two dissimilar clients are installed, and emulator WAN is applied for simulation of Internet. The product of the theses is the design of the laboratory exercise drafted in such a way that it can be solved by students less knowledgeable of the issues.
Administration of development documetation over WWW II
Gregárek, Ondřej ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
Document server is a web application controllable by way of web browser. It is meant to serve for the management of development documentation. The application is divided to the four basic parts: Requirements, Products, Tests and Test Run. The section Requirements serves for inserting requirements for products. Product is produced on the basis of these needs and registered in part Products. Test setting is created in the part Tests according to requirements from the part Requirements. Particular products are then tested. The part Test Run registers records of these tests. These are parts of the application: management of users, connecting supplements to records, printing and exportation of data to different formats, saving history of records, filtration and sorting of entries, etc. All the data is saved in the database MySQL. The application is written in scripting language PHP. Data is presented by template system Smarty. The output is in language XHTML. Cascading style CSS is used to formatting. This work describes development of the application. First it is dealing with the proposal of the database, connection and structure of particular tables. The function of the programme is explained in detail at the same time, which is essential for the correct proposal of the database. The application is based on the database. The selected structure of files and relations of scripts to library functions are shown. The template system and the interface for access of the programme to the database are explained. The most attention is paid to the description of solving important functions of the application, i.e. listing of records, their pagination, filtration, sorting and operation with them: saving, browsing, copying, confirmation and work with history, category and problems by upkeep of consistent tree and export of data to various formats. It is always outlined the problem, the idea of solving and the description of appropriate scripts. Samples of source code are also included for better understanding of complicated algorithms.

The Archeological Park Mikulcice
Hladíková, Monika ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
Architectonic and urbanistic concept The designed area is placed in the rural zone of the village Mikulčice and in the rural zone of the village Kopčany. This area has a big potencial in its cultural and historical values as well as in the natural ones. The connection of the pure and very original nature with a very strong historical value gives the region its very own authentic character and amplifies the experience of the visitor. This reagion was declared as a cultural heritage in 1962 and yet it is nominated to the World heritage list UNESCO. Its rich history and archeological discoveries gave an idea to built here a congress center. The congress center is situated in the natural enviroment where it presents the ruined churches and also the archeological discoveries. The goal of this project is to attract attention of the public. To enriche the knowledge of the public and to connect both sides of the river Morava by a bridge. The idea is to preserve the woods and meadows in the horizontal like region and to enter the landscape with a similar composition. The building itself is situated to the north of the ground plans of the churches, in historical path of the authentic waterway around the stronghold site. Its shape is inspired by a boat which reflects the waterway and the heritage of st.Cyril and st.Method who passed on to us the teachings of the Church. This is symbolised as large boats carrying the people to the everlasting salvation. The topic of the „path“ reminds us of our pilgrimage through the neverending sea of time. The values which our ancestors passed on to us and which we will pass on to our children. The bridge which overcomes this building can be a notional connection beetween the history and the present days. These are undoubtedly linked together and we should not forget it.
House Number 98
Hauser, Filip ; Lang, Dominik (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
The Great depression in 1930’ relates to miller’s family and all employees of the watermill as well as sawmill. However, they bore these times courageously. “My father recalled how difficult it was to keep the work for his employees. He was very glad he did not dismiss anyone.” In the year right before the beginning of war the watermill accommodated soldiers. First of all it was an army cyclist unit. “Seargant always came into our home to listen to news. New soldiers arrived after their departure.” At the end of war the surroundings of the city swarmed with partisans. Jaruška recalls several Germen to be shot and she observed how these bodies were carried on hay wagon to be buried near bridge. Germen reached the city after several weeks. They forced all men to town square while searching their houses. In case they found anything suspicious they were ready to shot. One workman who was a member of a partisan group came to my mother and said: “I cannot go there, I really can’t. So I’m telling you I’m going to the third floor of the mill and I will squeeze myself into storage container.” So my mother knew and when they came they searched everywhere. My mother told me that after the workman informed her about his hiding place she went to bedroom and started to pray. War year passed away and the watermill became a subject of nationalization. Jaruska remembers the new head of the mill as a very kind and good person. However, years of communist management left a big scare on the mill. It was rebuilt into storage unit. All equipment and furnishing was replaced with new ones. So the years of insensitive and poor usage of the watermill began. Restoration of the mill after its restitution to its former owners is going to be a challenge for future generations none of which remember events that happened there. This thesis aims to reflect historical events concerning building of arictocratic mill that is located in Stráž nad Nežárkou as well as to reflect experience of its residents. Creation of installations themselves was preceded by documentary work including mapping of the place and of a personal story of Jaroslava Válková who grew up in the mill and her family has been related with the house. I have decided to focus the author’s reflection on a relationship between a human and a house. Further, I have decided to shift the relationship into a type of parable based on previous documentary work. Three installations were created directly in the mill. The house is a reflection of myself. House as an unstable construct. House as a personal construct.
