The preparedness of students of commercial Academy for future employment

This diploma thesis deals with preparedness of students of commercial Academy for their future employment. The object of research was Commercial Academy and Language school of Trebic. In present time the most of the students continue their studies on universities or college. My main interest was if the students of third class know the profile of graduate, the possibilities of future employment, if they find the present teaching system sufficient and if they applied any changes. The thesis also contains the view of teachers. As I am a former graduate and present teacher on this commercial Academy my main goal was to catch the both points of view. The thesis also shortly describes the implementation of state final exams and the system of high school's financing.

Financing of Universities and tuition fees

This thesis deals with the funding of universities in the Czech Republic. The primary objective is to evaluate the current funding system and highlight its shortcomings. The first part deals with the very meaning of higher education and sees it as a mixed public good. Mentions the reasons for that is socially and economically desirable to make higher education a sufficient amount of money and takes the benefits they derive from it the whole society, but also specific individuals. It focuses on the financing of private and especially public universities, state universities are mentioned only in passing. It also shows the development of higher education through selected graphs and statistics. Currently, schools financed mostly from public sources. This paper describes why this happens and discussed possible options of bringing higher education to the private sector and thereby improve their mutual cooperation. A relatively large part is reserved the issue of tuition fees and the current proposals.

A Type of a Completed Higher School as a Competitive Advantage on Labour Market

The thesis is focused on analysis of the current status of the Czech tertiary education in connection with meeting the requirements of the labour market. It deals mainly with economically oriented institutions and their evaluation. The evaluations are stated on the bases of statistical data and also on the bases of subjective evaluation of the graduates. The core point of the thesis is a questionnaire research focused on discovering of employer's experience with graduates of specific schools.

Funding of public universities by European Union resources

The work describes particularities of public universities and their funding. It depicts possibilities of funding by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and particulary by structural funds of European Union. The main part is dedicted to funding by Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness. Work describes procedure of creation, implementation, monitoring and control of projects funding by Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness. Furthermore it describes other possibilities of funding by structural funds and economic information systems on Czech public universities.

The thesis deals with concept of education, especially tertiary education, considering it's characteristic features that are necessary to be able to make decisions about financing of this grange. It investigates the system of financing tertiary education in Australia, deals with it's eminency and also it's weak spots. The last part presents brief description of financing tertiary education in Czech Republic. It marks main drawbacks of this financing and a possibility of implementation some elements from australian financing system Higher Education Contribution Scheme.
