In recent years, the global economy has developed unpredictably. This unpredictable and unstable development has also affected the construction industry, not only in the territory of the Slovak Republic, but all over the world. This unexpected development of the market, which has caused an increase in the prices of building materials and construction work, has also caused complications, and the slowing down and subsequent extension of construction time. The relevant authorities have tried to compensate for the impact by implementing certain remedial measures.

Expansion of the Selected Company into a New Market

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the possibility of Citylife Nottingham expansion into a new market in London and to propose a suitable strategy for this expansion. The company has experience in Nottingham, Leeds, and Sheffield, where their concept is successful and popular with customers. However, there is definitely presumption for success, London differs greatly from these cities, especially by its market size. Thus, this crucial step of expansion into such a large and unknown market must be thoroughly prepared. In this work, internal and external analyses are presented and evaluated. Subsequently, there is introduced a new marketing mix together with the strategy of this expansion.

Applying Discounted Cash Flow Valuation Method to Assess the Investment Project of a Small Russia-Based Company

The aim of the thesis is the determination of investment cash flows generated from Finnish market development activities of a selected Russia-based small company, performing investment valuation using discounted cash flow method and presenting improvements which can rise the attractiveness for potential investors. It includes comprehensive investment valuation of the selected company at the seed stage of its` development, including the overview of current financial situation, usage a valuation model followed by stable growth and terminal value determination. Provided and copulated data serves as an example of complete valuation model for capital injections of future projects in the company, thanks to which the author is able to come to particular conclusions on the funding perspectives for the company. The results obtained through the analysis is assessed through the critical prism to be used as a basis for further suggestions on improvement.

Světový trh rýže

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá současnou situací na Světovém trhu rýže. Hlavní cíle spočívají ve zmapování aktuální situace na trhu a vytvoření predikce dalšího vývoje. První kapitola se věnuje základní charakteristice, klasickému a alternativnímu využití rýže. V druhé kapitole je pak situace na světovém trhu rýže popsána z hlediska tržních ukazatelů jako množství produkce, vývoje cen a největších obchodníků. Jsou zde také zmíněny nejdůležitější organizace, které vývoj na tomto trhu ovlivňují. Třetí a poslední kapitola se zabývá odhadem dalšího vývoje trhu. V první části kapitoly jsou popsány nové trendy jako ¨Zlatá rýže¨a ¨Bio rýže¨a také inovace nezbytné pro další vývoj světového trhu s rýží. V poslední části práce jsou sepsány odhady na budoucí vývoj produkce, mezinárodního obchodu, cen a spotřeby.

Analýza vývoje trhu elektronických knih v ČR

Cílem diplomové práce je zanalyzovat současné knižní prostředí ve vztahu k nastupující elektronizaci. Práce je zaměřena na několik dílčích témat, které jsou zásadní a mají vliv na utváření trhu jako využívaná technologie, právní pojetí elektronických dokumentů, ochrana dokumentů proti nelegálnímu šíření a v neposlední řadě i ekonomické aspekty elektronického publikování. Práce vychází ze zkušeností autora, který se této problematice věnuje velmi podrobně na více úrovních.
