Sport's sponsorship as the marketing tool of the firm's communication mix

The main subject of my diploma work is the analysis of the sport's sponzorship effectivity as one of the implement of the firm's communication mixt. This is made for the firm DEKTRADE inc., which is the main sponsor of the cycling team. For better illustration of the sponzorship's function in sports the work is firstly focusing on sports as a marketing branch, then defines sponzorship from the economic and law points of view, maps out its development, shows the possibilities in using it in the field of sports, determines its position in the communication mix of the firm and introduces the possibility for measuring the effectiveness of the capital investments putting in sport's sponzorship. There are also methods of the sponzorship's efficiency assessments in the dissertation. Concretely the survey of the sponzorship's response, general knowledge of the mark and media monitoring. At the conclusion of this work is the reccomendation for improving of the existing situation.
Analysis of the Czech tax system

The aim of the thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the Czech tax system. In the Czech Republic existed by the end of 2007 system based on progressive taxation. The system of progressive rates, was and is a subject to criticism not only in the Czech Republic. As an alternative, which allows to delete the seamy side of the system, appears the method of taxation based on the concept of flat tax, whose ideas includes the czech reform. The situation before and after the reform in early 2008 is in detail characterized in the practical part thesis. The theoretical part describe requirements of a good tax system and the concept of flat tax. The part of thesis is also a view of the Slovak tax system. Czech Republic and Slovak Republic are very similar countries and the development of their tax systems show a great similarity. Slovak Republic realized the tax reform four years earlier than the Czech Republic, its appearance and positive impacts on national economy could be model for the Czech Republic.
DEA models and application on bank branch site

This diploma thesis is focused on evaluation of efficiency of domestic bank branch site using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The branch site belongs to Československá obchodní banka (ČSOB). Theoretic part is focused on explanation of basic definitions related to DEA. I concentrate on basic models which are applicated in practical part of the thesis. Practical part of the thesis is focused on computation, using particulary BCC a CCR model. General information about bank market in the Czech Republic, ČSOB and using DEA in bank sector are included too.

Relation between macroeconomic fundamentals factors and firm efficiency is a comparative study of influences of macroeconomic fundamentals factors on the efficiency of seven Czech commercial banks. The study defines efficieny through a combination of GDP, inflation, interest rates and exchange rate to trajecty of banks development following changes in macroeconomic factors between 2004-2007 using detailed financial agents. The several concluds that Czech commercial banks clearly reflect layer economy development and thus are a cornorstone of the Czech economy. This study is limited in it's short period.
The control of public procurement processes

This Thesis deals with he situation in public procurement processes in Czech republic. Thesis firstly analyzes the legislation of public procurement as well as theoretical explanation how supervisory process works and contains also brief characteristic of main supervisory bodies - Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad a Úřad pro ochranu hospodářské soutěže. The main purpose of this thesis is to find how effective and efficient the supervisory process is in real life. In order to to find it, I worked out a research on the basis of the law of providing information. The research was oriented on subjects, which according to supervisory bodies did not proceed the public procurements process as they should and some of them were awarded a fine. The main purpose of this research was to find out, what steps these subjects took in order not to repeat the situation and also if they draw personal responsibility or claim a loss. The results were analyzed if the public procurement process in Czech republic is effective and efficient, and if subjects in real life observe what is given in law.
Data envelopment analysis and their aplication

The work contains an overview of basic data envelopment analysis models (BCC and CCR models), which are subsequently applied to the real data. The models were applied to assessment of efficiency of banks operating within the Czech market.Possible solutions of banks inefficiency are indicated as well.
The analysis of public procurement process at the level of municipalities in the Slovak Republic

The paper analyzes public procurement process at the level of municipalities in the Slovak Republic. The introductory part of the paper is devoted to an analysis of theoretical and legislative aspects of the public procurement with definition of basic concepts and various procedural steps, which lead to the final implementation of the procurement. The paper also deals with the concept of 3E and degree of its implementation in legislation and in real-life process of procurement at the level of municipalities, with reference to some practical problems of that concept. The theoretical part of the paper is supported by an analysis of real-life public procurement processes undertaken at the municipal level and followed by evaluation using evaluation methods selected. At the end of the paper, proposals and recommendations that should lead to increase of effectiveness and economy in spending of public funds are included.
Evaluation of effectiveness of protection system againts floods

In my project is assessed effectiveness of protection system against floods in the Czech Republic. Efficiency is described by optimal or at least higher ratio of against-floods protection in comparison with elimination of future floods damages. Theoretical part of this study differentiates floods from institutional, economical and political view and provides comparison of approaches to protection against floods in selected countries. The main part is related to Strategy of protection against floods for the Czech Republic. The analytical part is focused on comparison of public expenses and their efficiency within floods in the Czech Republic in 2004 - 2007. In other part there is described analysis of certain recommendation.
