Comparison of Finnish and Czech Tax System
Papežová, Marcela ; Francírek, František (advisor) ; Roun, Vlastimil (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis "Comparison of Finnish and Czech Tax System" is to give readers more detailed information about both tax systems. The first descpriptive part shows a short summary of the progress of Tax system in Finland and then characterizes tax systems of the Czech Republic and Finland. The principal part is devoted to comparison of tax systems from different points of view. The main aim is to compare tax systems of both countries. I focus mainly on comparing the portion of particular taxes on total tax incomes, administrative demandingness during paying taxes and comparing of the tax destiny. I worked out accessible information and I concluded that the construction of tax systems is similar but each one is based on different parameters. Despite this fact some components of Finnish tax system we could transform into the Czech tax system.

Lean management - the way how to manage your company more effectively
Medková, Jana ; Khelerová, Vladimíra (advisor)
Nowadays, the world is undergoing financial and economic crisis (at least its effects die away), many companies deal with the problem how to reduce costs, streamline production etc. Particularly manufacturing enterprises face problems of high stocks of unfinished material, spoilage, low machine utilization, low efficiency of human labour, etc. These problems and deficiencies are caused by wasting. With the help of specific tools lean management seeks for the answer of how to eliminate waste and streamline processes. The resulting effect is higher added value due to lowered consumed time and money. Enterprise is lean if it can rationally and systematically use all resources available and prevent waste in all its forms. In the first part of this work I describe the historical development of lean management. Subsequently the work is focused on the whole concept of this idea with an emphasis on understanding the philosophy, principles and target areas of leadership of lean management. As the next section I list the specific tools which are being used in current practice. The practical part deals with the process of Value Stream Mapping. My findings are consequently supported by international Lean Management Study 2008 which shows the relevance of implementing lean processes.

The following three areas are in main focus of this thesis: advantages of DEA modelling compared to common approaches to Decision Making Units efficiency assessment and extensive summary of majority of DEA models, which are relevant for solving the given problem; followed by a comprehensive model of efficiency assessment of shop network of a Mobile Network Operator, which is unique to this thesis from both theoretical and practical standpoints; and last but not least a detailed analysis of the shop network including recommendations.
FDH method and its use by efficiency analysis
Průchová, Anna ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Jablonský, Josef (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of efficiency of decision making units using data envelopment analysis. The main purpose is to introduce FDH method (Free disposable hull). For easier understanding there are explained two basic DEA models (CCR and BCC) in the first part of the thesis. Then the description of FDH method follows. It contains the mathematical model and graphic visualization. The thesis also briefly describes the appropriate way of data collecting and their adjustment. In the second part there are evaluated efficiencies of lending libraries in the Czech Republic.
