The thesis maps different types of programmers and what are demands on programmers from employees. It analysis both technical skills and also soft-skills and their importance when evaluating a programmer. The thesis also contains an analysis of IT education offered by selected universities and high schools. The data are gathered through questionnaires and their results are confronted with the study options.
Analysis of structural unemployment in the district of Jindřichův Hradec

Bachelor thesis focuses on current problems of the labour market in the Czech republic, namely the structural unemployment. The aim of the work will be to analyze the various factors affecting the structural unemployment in the selected region of the CR, finding to what extent it is able to predict the evolution of these factors and what tools to use to reduce structural unemployment. The first part will focus on the fundamental concepts such as supply and demand for labor, the definition and types of unemployment. Also mentioned the state employment policy in the Czech republic and its instruments. In the second part of the general characteristics of the district selected position in the economic and demographic areas, perform the aforementioned analysis, mapping the evolution of unemployment in recent years, the main actors on the demand side of labor, the structure of unemployment (such as age, sex, education) and the structure employment under the sectoral classification of economic activities OKEČ and CZ - NACE (from 1.1.2008). Will be used for the analysis of empirical data from the Statistical Yearbook, literature and data supplied by Labour office.
Analysis of the school system in South Bohemian region in relation to requirements of the labour market

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out whether the demand for the labour force corresponds to the supply in the South Bohemian Region. Basic terms that are closely related to the given problematics are explained in the first part of the study. It includes education, accomplishments and labour market. The second part is dedicated to the analysis of the education system in the Czech Republic. The attention is paid especially to annual changes in the number of students. Furthermore, the documents and legislation that concern with the education in the Czech Republic are mentioned. The last but not least part concerns with the education system in the South Bohemian Region. Moreover, the changes in the course of time in supply and demand for job, and the mutual relationship between them and education are presented.
The Impact of Labour Migration from Countries of Central and Eastern Europe on Labour Market of the United Kingdom since 2004

The thesis deals with immigration flows from Central and Eastern Europe to the United Kingdom and with its impact on wages and unemployment of the British population after opening the local labour market in 2004. The thesis analyzed statistical data focused on flows of immigrants and the conditions of the British labour market. The conclusion of this study is that these immigrants had no adverse effects on wages and unemployment of natives. In connection to the dual labour market theory are pointed out the advantages of immigration for a modern developed economy. Conclusions drawn from the United Kingdom and its experience with immigration from Central and Eastern Europe are applied to the German labour market which is currently still closed for immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe.
Discrimination in the labour market, differences caused by gender

The bachelor thesis deals with discrimination in the labour market caused by reason of gender, by another name it deals with sex-based discrimination. The theoretic part is based upon the theory of discrimination which is extended by the themes of gender, its inequalities in the labour market and in the organizations. The aim of practical part is then, how the actual situation in the labour market is from the view of gender and analyse the experience of people with the gender inequalities in consequence by the help of my own questionnaire. In spite of better situation in the labour market, people can still meet the gender inequalities which are disappearing very slowly and therefore obstructing the beginning of the total gender equation.
Foreigners in the labour market in the Czech Republic

This thesis analyses the situation of foreigners in the labour market in the Czech Republic. It does not focus only on the current condition, but the overall development in the period after 1989. It answers questions regarding the number of foreigners, their citizenship, the character of performed work or the type of work permit or residence permit. It compares the situation in the Czech Republic with selected European Union countries. Besides this the thesis is focused on the main projects of the active immigration policy of the Czech Republic.
Discrimination in the labour market, gender wage differentials

This thesis deals with discrimination in the labour market with a focus on gender wage differentials. It explains the differences between men and women from the sociological perspective, causes of different wages, the effect of compensating differences and investment in human capital. It presents discriminatory models: the model with discriminatory preferences, the discriminatory monopsony model, the model of statistical discrimination and the displacement model of discrimination. The practical part is focused on salary discrimination based on statistical data, as well as the views and experiences of the people interviewed by questionnaire survey. It mentions the possibility of elimination of gender inequalities, legislation of Czech Republic and organizations that are involved in this issue.
Project IPSYS - solution supporting the labour market

The goal of my bachelor thesis is a description of the IPSYS project (Informatically counseling system for consultants from the field of further learning), which was realized to support the Czech labour market. The thesis is focused on demonstration of project utility, its disadvantages, and possibilities of further development. As a support to main goals, I set up some secondary goals, which will help readers to understand the labour market problematics. These goals are: description of labour market in general, reference to some problems connected with labour market, and description of Czech governmental politics supporting labour market.
