Properties of Coal on Process Gasification in the Fluidized Bed Reactor
Durda, Tomáš ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Jeremiáš, Michal ; Skoblia, S. ; Beňo, Z. ; Janda, V. ; Šyc, Michal ; Punčochář, Miroslav ; Svoboda, Karel
Fuel is gasified by thermochemical conversion into producer gas using an appropriate medium at high temperature in a gasification generator. The aim of this study was to compare the suitability (reactivity) of selected types of coal in several fluid generators under the well defined conditions. Producer gas obtained by coal gasification was compared, especially, in terms of calorific value and yield of gas, cold gas efficiency, the yield of major and minor components of gas, tar yield and conversion fixed carbon into the generator gas.

Concentration of HCl, HF and Sulfur Compounds in Fuel Gas from Fluidized Bed Gasification of Coals and Wood by Steam-Oxygen Mixtures
Svoboda, Karel ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Jeremiáš, Michal ; Kameníková, Petra ; Skoblia, S. ; Beňo, Z. ; Šyc, Michal
We have concentrated in our study on FB gasification of two kinds of coals differing in reactivity, ash content and composition and hard wood at temperature 850 oC. Our attention was particularly devoted to speciation of sulfur compounds, presence of HCl, HF and tar compounds in fuel gas. Silica sand and mixture of silica sand with gradually added dolomite was used as basic particulate bed material in FB gasification. The results have shown that presence of dolomite particles in the fluidized bed and presence of dolomite dust reduces concentrations of all sulfur species, but the reduction of thiophene concentration is more pronounced. Presence of dolomite in FB causes substantial decrease of HCl concentration and moderate decrease of HF concentration in fuel gas. Accumulation of char and ash with active calcium based components leads to moderate reduction of HCl and sulfur compounds concentration in fuel gas.

Position of BRIC countries on selected international commodity markets
Pospíšil, Jakub ; Müller, Štěpán (advisor) ; Taušer, Josef (referee)
The bachelor thesis analyzes position of BRIC countries on international commodity markets with coffee, natural gas, gold, coal and iron ore in context with recent development of their economies. International economics theory is applied to put their global stance and engagement in international trade under scrutiny. Involvement in regional integrations is also briefly discussed. Brazil is key supplier of coffee to global markets and Russia enjoys prominent position in production of natural gas, whereas Indian demand moves the gold market. Chinese demand is fundamental for development of trade with coal and iron ore. Further in the paper the ability to influence market price of given commodities by the countries is analyzed and humble attempts of modest future development predictions are made.
Energetics in Visegrad Group
Horák, Lukáš ; Černá, Iveta (advisor) ; Čajka, Radek (referee)
Main purpose of this thesis is to find out how self sufficient concerning the energy raw materials are countries within Visegrad group. Further purpose of my thesis is to analyse total primary energy supply, the structure of energy supply in countries of Visegrad group and its developments in last 4 decades. Furher I want to reveal how the structure of total primary energy supply and structure of electricity generation reflect the disponibility of raw materials in these countries and transformation of economics in the nineties. A sub-objective of my work will examine how countries of the Visegrad Four use the potential of renewable energy sources and how they support it.
Coal industry in Czechoslovakia and the causes of its crisis
Vejvoda, Radek ; Szobi, Pavel (advisor) ; Tajovský, Ladislav (referee)
This paper is dissert on a status of coal industry in Czechoslovakia during the period 1945-1970. It analyzes particular periods of two-year plan and the next following five-year plans. It is focused on the complex question of the coal industry and all related economic sectors, mainly engineering and energetics. It is focused on the period 1960-1970 and analyzes two key periods in which occured a critical shortage of coal.
The Exploitation and Utilization of Energetic Raw Materials in the World
MATĚJKA, Petr
This Diploma theses is dealing with the creation of general current list of reserves, production, consumption and trade of each energy raw material with a view to fossil fuel. The introduction of my work is applied to general reflection reflecting present state of fuel issue. The following chapters are talking about the aims of my work, the literature analysis and the methodology. After the introductory part there are particular chapters talking about crude oil, gas and coal. All these parts of work are dividend into the subchapters containing general introduction that describes each energy raw material. This work brings the inttegrated current data of mined fuel material organized into the synoptic tables. These tables are completed with schematic graphs. The assembled tables determine the list of the biggest international producers, consumers, shippers and importers of each strategic energy commodity. The conclusion of study belongs to the summary of determined aims of work and the outline of importance of fuels in the present-day world.

Sýkorová, Ivana ; Havelcová, Martina ; Klika, Z. ; Trejtnarová, Hana ; Fojtíková, M. ; Šulc, Alexandr
The influence of heating on optical properties and morphology of organic matter was studied in mine-stone dumps in three districts in the Czech Republic.
Výskyt uhlí v okolí Erigava (Republika Somailand)
Konečný, Pavel ; Oliwkiewicz-Miklasinska, M.
The occurrence of Jurassic to Miocene coal in Republic Somaliland was described in literature. Some coal samples were collected in 2007 near Erigavo. On the base of palynological analysis the Jurassic age is suggested for examined coal. Content of ash of tested sample was 71,24% so that the sample is classified as a carbonaceous siltstone. The reflectance of huminite is RN = 0,33 %. Based on this data the next geological investigation was recommended. Kontinuální pyrolýza uhlíkatých materiálů s modelovým zplyněním tuhého produktu
Kříž, Vlastimil ; Káš, Václav ; Brožová, Zuzana
Samples of lignite from Jiří Mine alone and its mixtures (30%) with waste tire-rubber, Forsan (ABS) and cellulose were pyrolyzed on a rotary kiln at a temperature of 900°C. The solid product was gasified by steam and carbon dioxide.
Vodík - produkt tepelné konverze uhlí
Kříž, Vlastimil ; Brožová, Zuzana
Hydrogen fixed in the coal structure was converted to gaseous form using two-stage pyrolysis. The hydrogen volume in the pyrolytical gas strong increased along with the temperature in the cracking module. There was verified the possibility to obtain hydrogen by thermal decomposition of coal pyrolysis volatile products.
