European subsidies – changes in the new programming period 2014-2020

Bachelor thesis on European subsidies -- changes in the new programming period 2014-2020 focuses on analysis of legal regulation governing European structure and investment funds support on the community level and on predicting the outcome of given changes. It analyses main legal documents, identifies their targets and puts them into context with goals of the European Regional Policy. It then continues with pointing out altered elements in their targets and moves on to programming and significant changes that concern it. In the following part, it focuses on partnership, setup of preliminary conditions and youth employment. Finally, the thesis summarizes the findings and puts them in a wider perspective from which the work extracts the object and direction of established changes, while the author comes to the conclusion that found changes aim to ease the process of approving of programs, to solve the youth unemployment problem and to fulfil the Europe 2020 targets.

Local Charges

The aim of this bachelor's work is to analyze the efficiency of selecting local taxes in municipalities up to 3,000 inhabitants, located in the South Moravian Region. The theoretical part explains concepts related to local taxes, their legislation and the issue of generally binding regulations of local charges. Furthermore, administrative costs and their measurement are defined and the methodology, by which the effectiveness is analyzed, is described. The practical section provides the data needed for calculation and the process of evaluating the effectiveness of selecting local taxes. Following research carried out in 48 municipalities from the South Moravian Region, where is evaluated the effectiveness of selection of particular local charges, that is, if the local charge revenue exceeds the administrative costs incurred for its selection.

Mergers of Business Corporations and Their Influence on Financial Situation

This thesis is concerned with domestic mergers of business corporations realized between 2009 - 2012 and their influence on financial situation of chosen subjects. The first part of my paper describes basic theoretical aspects of mergers including their division and motives leading to the realization and their phases. The second chapter consists of trade-legal and accounting adjustment of mergers. Considering practical part, the main focus is on legal modification valid from 31. 12. 2011 to 1. 1. 2012. Following part of this thesis explains accounting solutions of mergers in example, where the immediate impact is shown on realization of the opening balance sheet. The fourth part is concerned with financial analysis, where the sources, users and relevant methods are mentioned. All analysis and results are submitted and described in the final part of my thesis.

The Proposal and Implementation of a Municipal Information Portal

The diploma thesis deals with the proposal and succeeding implementation of the municipal information portal for the municipality of Radošov. It takes into account legal specifications for information providing and publishing in the public administration and also some current trends in the websites development. The thesis also contains a critical evaluation of the present state of the municipality official website.

The objective of the thesis is to create a business plan for starting a Steakhouse restau-rant with an offer of the best steaks and drinks. At first there will be theoretically expla-ined issues about business, startup and the estabilishment of a limited liability company. The next step si describe a business plan. In the base of survey thesis continues with practical treatment of business plan. There si solved the question about legal form of business, processing of founding budget and individualy parts of business plan including finanacial plan and financial analysis. At the and of the thesis is business plan evaluated and its results are summarized.

The asssessment and remuneration of employees in public administration compared to private sector

This thesis deals with the assessment and remuneration of employees, which is used by the public and private sectors. First, there is described the legal regulation related to the issue, both at a general level, focusing primarily on the Labour Code and relevant additional standards, as well as the specifics of the legislation applicable to the remuneration of public employees. The description is then devoted to the topic of assessment and remuneration, which describes the principles and methods of these systems, again in general terms and then with the specifics of public administration. On a practical level, there is an analysis of systems of specific public institution, the office of the Municipal District of the Capital City of Prague - Prague 3, which is then compared with the system used by the private company. The result of this analysis and comparison is providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of assessment and remuneration tools.

Consumer protection in air transport

The master thesis is dealing with the consumer protection in air transport. The legislation is primarily stipulated in the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union regulation, to whom is dedicated the beggining of this thesis. In next step the study is devoted to operating irregulariarities followed by problems concerning luggage that could potentially occur during transportation. The end of the theoretical part is discussing the companies that assist passengers in receiving their compensations from air carriers if they are entitled to it. The second section is mainly analytical and it is supported by the theory from the first part of the thesis. Research is done within this part via method of questioning. The aim of the thesis is checking the awareness of passengers about their rights whilst using air transport. The thesis also contains subgoal which is a summary of a basic overview of consumer protection legislation. The conclusion is devoted towards proposals for addressing any identified deficiencies.

Competition versus dominance in the European pharmaceutical industry : Are the patent rights too strong?

The thesis is deals with the position of companies operating in the European pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical industry belongs to traditionally highly innovative sectors whose investments into R&D largely outperform other industries on the European as well as on the global scale. A high number of patents is awarded in this branch. The companies get into strong position thanks to them. Insurance in Belarus

This final thesis deals with the characterization and analysis of the development of insurance industry in Belarus and comparison with selected European countries. First of all, thesis defines the general characteristics of Belarus in terms of different indicators and also describes the legal platform on which Belarusian insurance sector is based. Then, on the basis of this information an analysis of the Belarusian insurance market is done. Finally, a big attention is paid to existing problems and the ways of solving them for the further positive development of the insurance sector in Belarus.
