Correlation of human figure and tree drawings
Matoušková, Tereza ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Miloš (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the figure drawing test and the tree test from the projective point of view, based on the books written by Zdeněk Altman. I focus on the interconnection between these two kinds of drawings. The thesis contains the basic characteristics of these two methods and discussion about their scientific basis. I describe the process of using the books as manuals for drawing analysis. This thesis also contains results of drawing analysis and characterization of their authors. Fifteen adolescents placed in a children's home participated in research. In conclusion, I address the correlation of both drawings.
The development of defense mechanisms in children of younger school age
Kratochvíla, Jan ; Šírová, Eva (advisor) ; Šturma, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with the development of defense mechanisms of children in younger school age. The theoretical part discusses the history and development of the concept of defense mechanisms, provides an overview of the diagnostic methods, which are useful to identify defense mechanisms in children and reports on the current state of research of defense mechanisms and their development in children and adolescents. At the end of the theoretical part, the concepts of "defense" based mostly on gestalt psychotherapy perspective are discussed. In the practical part, the children of the research group in younger school age were tested with The Fairy Tale Test and The Thematic Apperception Test. The results are discussed with regard to age, sex, inteligence and also considering the results of other research methods. Data based on psychoanalytical concepts are compared with results of the questionnaire based on gestalt psychoterapy theories of contact cycle and contact styles. Two parents (or the closest adults) evaluated their children by the questionnaire and inventory of typical contact styles. The results suggest the existence of certain connections, these research methods also complement each other and serves together as more comprehensive view of the child's personality, a way of its interacting...
What does aging and old age mean for women?
Roedlová, Adéla ; Jeřábek, Hynek (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
This master thesis deals with the subjective view of middle aged and older Czech women on problematic of old age and aging. In connection of old age and aging they focus more on the aging of the whole society or relation between the generations, but not on a subjective perception and experience of this life stage and process. The aim of this work is to find out what women consider as the key elements of old age and aging and also to create a comprehensive view of aging from the women perspective. It is also essential to the thesis to determine the differences and similarities in the perception of aging in terms of age and life stage. In this thesis is used a method of qualitative research, which is grounded in the phenomenological approach and data collection is carried out using the ZMET research method. This projective technique of data collection, whose theory and practice is described in the work, is based on the idea that people do not think verbally but in images. Association Experiment upon Students of Economics
Srnková, Denisa ; Krejčová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Krpálková Krelová, Katarína (referee)
This working paper is focused on association experiment created by C. G. Jung, which I transformed into my bachelor thesis based on word association from school area. In theoretical part, I am dealing with core principals, fundamentals, usage, and history of the experiment. In practical part, I am dealing with the experiment itself. My research is mainly focused on students of University of Economics, Prague, who have previously finished high school with economic specialization. I compared this essential group with boys/men and girls/women from different age and non-economic specialization. In the same time I tried to render reaction words. In conclusion of my bachelor thesis I summarized discovered findings and its practical usage.
The main features of processing colored modification Wartegg's drawing test in children at the transition between kindergarten and primary school
HARANTOVÁ, Eliška
This bachelor work is about the processing of colourful modification of Wartegg´s drawing test on the changeover from the nursery to the primary school. The goal of this work is to find out the potential changes in the way of processing of Wartegg´s drawing test in the course of several months and also to find out the typical features of processing of Wartegg´s drawing test in this age group. The theoretical part is concentrated on the preschool children and the children that are short time in the school and is primary concentrated on their cognitive and verbal development, symbolism of colours and particular symbols that predominate in children´s drawing. There are also described projective methods in the theoretical part, primary the Wartegg´s drawing test. Empirical part is concentrated on the research that monitors the main differences in the processing of Wartegg´s drawing test by children that are in the age between preschool and school. These differences were evaluated formally and contently and then they were processed in the graphs.
How does the teaching qualification influence the elaboration of colour modification of Wartegg drawing test
ULRICHOVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor´s thesis deals with processing of colours modifications of Wartegg drawing test (WZT) done by secondary school teachers. Aim of the work is comparrison of WZT processing ways of humanistic discipline teachers with natural science disciplines teachers. Theoretical part of the work deals with characteristics of projective methods and with charateristics of WZT and its colours modifications. The theoretical part further describes symbolism of colours and defines the proffession of a teacher. Empirical part of the work is concerned with description of distinctions and concordances between 28 WZT processings done by humanistic disciplines teachers and 28 WZT processings done by natural scinence disciplines teachers.
Motivation for studying psychology
TENKL, Tomáš
This undergraduate thesis is focused on motivation for studying psychology. The theoretical part contains topics of psychology of motivation, formal classification of motives, explanation of self-determination theory and theory of implicit and explicit motivation. Another topic in theoretical part considers helping professions and includes ? chapters about altruism, motivation for helping professions, the helper syndrome and the burnout syndrome. Further there are described projective methods, especially the incomplete sentence test which was used in current research. Empirical part describes qualitative research in grounded theory. Data consist of semi-structured interviews and incomplete sentences tests from six respondents. The results describes categories that were created during the forming of the grounded theory (the role of psychologist, personality of psychologist; own personality, what a psychologist does; pitfalls; profit).
Comparison of colored modification of Wartegg's drawing test outcomes in psychology students and natural science students
KLEČKOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis compares outcomes of colored modification of Wartegg's drawing test in psychology students and natural science students and considers characteristic traits of psychology students. Theoretical part of the thesis describes projective methods, especially Wartegg's drawing test (WZT) and its colored modification with color symbolism. Empirical part is focused on differences in WZT outcomes of 16 psychology students and 16 natural science students. On the basis of these outcomes characteristic traits of psychology students are defined.
Colour modification of Wartegg drawing completion test in children with hearing impairment
WERNEROVÁ, Tereza
This thesis examines the common features occuring in processing of the color modification of Wartegg's drawing test by hearing impaired children and children with multiple disabilities. Multiple disabilities mean in this case hearing impairement and mental disability occuring in one individual. At the beginning of the thesis there is a theoretical background of the problem. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains terms as projective drawing techniques, Wartegg's drawing test and hearing and mental disabilities. Twenty tests done by children with hearing impairement attending elementary school and practical elementary school were selected. In the empirical part a research question is formulated and is answered at the and of the work. Research results are first classified by age and then according to different criteria. The results show that hearing-impaired children draw the most often geometrical structures, vehicles, buildings, figures and their parts. Drawings are not integrated into a broader context. To name the pictures the children use short appellation corresponding to the drawn item.
