Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz
Doležel, Martin ; Sochor, Jan (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
THE GARDEN IN A CRISIS The first problem. Moving the entrance from the rotunda axis in the north to the area where the farmyard surrounded by greenhouses is situated. The consequence of this step was destruction of the conception of a floral garden and further, confusion of a visitor caused by the new and excentric garden entrance. The second problem. The original noble fill of the forefield has been perfectly cleaned, including the structure. Therefore the courtyard of honour is wedged in the two huge unspecific areas. The third problem. The nineteenth century is gone. Nowadays visitor is hard to please and unconcentrated. THE CONCEPTION Revitalisation and amendment of the forefield structure concept in subareas is both practical and it offers the esthetic quality which was lost. In relation to the axis of the garden, the area is adversely divided by some new buildings. These functional stripes make the optical barriers and they are clear in their axis. There are minimaly two six smaller areas created out of two bigger ones. Moving the main entrance from the courtyard to the rotunda center line means a possibility for the garden to step out towards its future development without some drastic changes in a objects which are part of a monument conservation but not functionally defined any more. The more, the garden gets its lost axiality, sense and a story about men's journey again. The application of the principles of the baroque garden in filling of the forefield gardens is either wrong or not considered properly. Polarized (and polar) gardens offer extreme positions of two contradictory trends. A superframed garden made by the nowadays technology versus a grove of wisdom where the nature is both a constructor and an architect. All of this with a baroque garden somewhere in its centre.

Koňušin, Jurij ; Kovář, František (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
The ASEAN region is one of the largest and fastest growing economies in the world. One of its key industries is automotive. With a total annual market of over 3 million vehicles in 2012 it rivals those of Brazil and Russia. In view of its current size and immense future potential the automotive market of ASEAN attracts OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) from Asia, Europe and USA alike. Due to proximity of ASEAN region to South Korea, China and Japan and in view of historical ties the ASEAN automotive market is heavily dominated by Japanese and Korean car manufacturers. They are followed by OEM from USA and Europe. While US manufacturers managed to secure a solid market share, the Europeans are lagging behind. Over the last two decades European players have made numerous attempts to capture the market, however without much success. What are the reasons? What are the key challenges for European OEM on the automotive market of ASEAN?

Barriers and perspectives of collaboration between the EU and NATO
Mazal, Jakub ; Rolenc, Jan Martin (advisor) ; Mlýnek, Miroslav (referee)
In 2008 the world economy fell into the worst economic crisis since the 1930s, which forced most of the European countries to extensive cuts inter alia on the defence spending. In spite of insufficient capacities and capabilities, Europe must deal with new security threats and challenges (e.g. terrorism, organised crime, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, cyberthreats). Therefore, a possible solution provides close collaboration between the EU and NATO in the field of collective defence and security. The main reason represent 21 European countries, which are members of both organizations. Hence, this bachelor's thesis focuses on identification of barriers and prospective perspectives to improve this relation. Its structure composes of three main parts. The first part analyses strategic documents and aims of both organizations, preconditions for collaboration set down in the Berlin Plus agreements and reactions to the economic crises. The second chapter compares missions of both organizations and duplications in the field of practical collaboration. The last chapter is devoted to the conflict between Turkey, Cyprus and Greece together with other political and institutional barriers including their possible solutions, which might streamline the collaboration.
