Enterprise Information Security
Král, David ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
Quality security of sensitive data and key assets becomes now a question of absolute necessity for a company of any size and orientation. History of evolution of information security began particularly in environment of large organizations, that processed a large amount of data. It is logical that it was larger and richer companies which often have sufficient resources to invest in the security of their assets. Moreover, relatively large percentage of small and medium-sized businesses have about the security of its information somehow faulty ideas. More and more attackers are focusing on mid-sized organizations, which are insufficiently protected and they find it much easier to get to their sensitive data. Small and medium-sized companies are often preventing the implementation of certified standards. The reason is the fear of heavy formal administration, which is often required for certification, but is mainly for small businesses unnecessary and burdensome. For medium-sized organizations (50-250 employees), the certain administration associated with information security is a necessity. Employees, as in small businesses, are familiar with each other, but already there is a certain degree of anonymity, which may trigger the fact that some employees will not respect security procedures, especially if they are not precisely defined, and compliance will not be regularly checked. It depends on several circumstances, whether the certification is appropriate for the organization or the establishment of their internal methodology for information security. Methodology of balanced information security, which is the subject of this article is primarily proposed for small and medium-sized businesses. Its aim is to define the most important and absolutely necessary criteria for information security so that the system meets the requirements of a comprehensive solution of the issue. On the other hand, it seeks how to minimize the administrative burden for these organizations, which is, as mentioned above, one of the main reasons, why companies hold a negative attitude to the most widespread certifications. The methodology identifies four main areas of information security management system in a company. It includes an audit which specifies the quality level of particular areas of information security in the organization. If any of the studied areas is found insufficiently protected, effecitve measures are offered to improve the situation. The ultimate solution is a condition of a system where all the key areas of information security management of the organization are at the appropriate level and the system can be considered balanced.

Madness and Temporality in Hegel
Gissberg, Kristin ; Tengelyi, Laszlo (advisor) ; Arnaud, Francois (referee)
Temporality and Madness in Hegel Kristin Gissberg The project considers Hegel's conception of madness, which is the potential limit of the coherency and identity of subjectivity. Madness, we argue following clues from Hegel, is reason caught up in its own retrograde temporality - or to state otherwise, reason's temporal regression. The thesis put pressure on Hegel's claim that madness is one meaning of subjectivity - it is not just an instance of being outside of self, but is an immediate expression of the self, that everybody, in a way, experiences. To this end, alterity is inherent to subjectivity. In temporal terms, madness is an entrapment in the past-and an inability to project into the future. A way to transgress this blockage in solipsism, we argue, can be found in the therapy of work, trust, and humor.

Protection of the Creative work in the field of Industrial Property.
Plesník, Zdeněk ; Pítra, Vladimír (advisor) ; Růžička, Michal (referee)
Resume In my work I am describing and analyzing a wide range of legislation governing the creative work in the field of industrial property. It is clear that this course of economic life enjoyed wide attention not only in the domestic law, as well as transnational law, both in the context of global and European law. As follows from the introductory chapters, although industrial property rights is an integral and important part of the economic life of almost every business, there is no consensus among experts in public opinion, which issues are part of an industrial property and which are not. To a large extent, these discrepancies are caused by lack of legal definition of industrial property. Although this concept is logical in the sense that it does not intend to circumscribe the de lege lata industrial property in order to prevent accidental closure of the legal concept for the future. But on the other hand, in some cases complicates the interpretation of legal provisions in force, which leaves the blurred boundaries of industrial property and the dual perceptions of the concept. It thus contributes to legal uncertainty, for example, the enforcement of intellectual property when it is not clear how the broad range of subjects of industrial property is Act No. 221/2006 Sb. On the enforcement of...

Real Estate and Related Judicature
Dvořák, Miroslav ; Valdhans,, Jiří (referee) ; Telec, Ivo (advisor)
The thesis maps the decision-making practice of courts in real estate cases and related areas. Judicial decisions are organized in logical parts and there was an effort to provide an overall and comprehensive overview of the opinions held by courts on the individual legal questions arising in real estate cases and thus define the most frequent causes of the disputes and their subject-matters. Explicated in the light of the decisions rendered by the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic and the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic, or even the findings of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, are judiciary’s attitudes to the basic principles of real estate agency and real estate activity in general, as well as to relating legal questions, with special regard to the contracts usually entered into in real estate practice, primarily agency contracts and mediated contracts. So far, case-law of this kind has not been comprehensively studied, despite the fact that there still are uncertainties regarding both the real estate legislation and the approach to resolution of real estate cases, as well as ensuing typical contractual obligational relations between parties on the real estate market. This is also the reason why this particular topic was chosen for the thesis. Based on the coverage and a thorough analysis of the judicial decisions at issue a conclusion is made that decision-making practice has already stabilized in some real estate areas and these decisions are used as basis in future cases. Nevertheless, there still are some legal questions which have not yet been tackled by courts or conflicting judicial decisions, which may even be rendered in the most essential and fundamental issues of real estate activity. This is partly due to the fact that the real estate market is still a relatively young business field and partly due to missing or inadequate legislation which is to provide for real estate activity, including real estate agency.

The Body and Islam
Písařová, Petra ; Skupnik, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vrhel, František (referee) ; Nováková, Hana (referee)
This thesis deals with the role of the body in Islam. Within its framework selected issues connected to the approach to the body and bodiliness from the religious-juristic, cultic, philosophical and medical view are analysed. Presented are especially the moments of adjustments and modifications of the body, partly on the level of its physical, "desired" presence in the society, partly on the level of socially/culturally distributed and sustained ideas about the body. These two moments are of course interwoven but can be postulated separately as well in the way I do it when I distinguish between the "delimitated" and the "delimitating" body. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the question of the approach to the study of Islamic culture in general and to the subject of bodiliness from the position of "western" Orientalism. Consequently, a methodological framework for the author's own analysis is set up, which is defined as "postmodernistic", therefore inclined to various narratives about the body in Islamic culture, images and actions connected to the body and predominantly ahistorical. Works of the first sociologists of the body and their studies into the logic of bodily techniques and "embodied" social/cultural ideas are mentioned as well. The role of the body within the scope of the...

The development of ceramics in the Sherabad oasis, South Uzbekistan
Kobierská, Markéta ; Stančo, Ladislav (advisor) ; Pavúk, Peter (referee)
The thesis' main topic concerns issues of ceramic typologies of the field survey assemblages. The case study subject is represented by an assemblage originating from the Sherobod oasis, Uzbekistan, a significant district of ancient Bactria and a sphere of the Czech araeological mission's activities. The thesis aspires to define in theory, what are the most convenient features of a typology of heterogeneous and numerous assemblages. The work consists of two main sections. The textual section is theoretical. Attention is paid to the fundamentals of categorical thinking and concept of fuzzy logic is proposed for broader application in archaeological typologies. The second section presents an extensive, previously unpublished catalogue of pottery finds withdrawn within the activities of the Institute for Classical Archaeology, Prague, conducted by PhDr. Ladislav Stančo, Ph.D.

Individuality in Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit
Hanovská, Lenka ; Benyovszky, Ladislav (advisor) ; Novotný, Jaroslav (referee)
Lenka Hanovská, Motiv individuality ve Fenomenologii ducha G. W. F. Hegela. Praha 2010. Abstract The work focus on the notion of individuality in Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. It's aim is to understand the question: "what does it mean to be individual being?" from the point of view of traditional thinker who is considered to stand on the top of traditional philosophical thinking. In the work I interpret the most important passages of Phenomenology. I point out that to the individuality we can look only as on a single example of subjectivity. Every specific quality and determination of individuality come from outside, individuality is determinated by the common reason and the society where she lives. Individuality in Hegel doesn't mean some sort of special beeing, concrete life (which search modern philosophy of 20th century) but it means only occurence of something "eternal", the consciousness.

Analytical support for funding of delegated powers of public administration
Lobodáš, Pavel ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This thesis is focusing on problematic concerning funding of delegated powers of a municipality. Nowadays, the delegated powers of a municipality are funded by allowance which bases on calculation of Ministry of the interior. The calculation is derived using a mechanism, reflecting a performance range of delegated powers of a municipality and therefore a total amount of allowance does not take into account actual performance. The Government does not currently have data, which would enable objective managing of funds. This problem has been solved with proposed solution of the analytical instrument, which is meant to be the support for funding. The proposed solution is consisting from four logical parts. First part is aiming on analysis of subject area and creation of strategy map according to concept Balanced Scorecard developed by Kaplan and Norton. Following part is aiming on definition set of key performance indicators and assembling of Balanced Scorecard, which is converted into a multidimensional model by Business Intelligence technologies. Data warehouse provides information to the final consumers as a set of reports created by specialized reporting instruments. Verification of proposed solution is performed by set of three pilot reports, which are designed as a decision support for problematic area. Result of this thesis is mainly verification of applicability of the proposed solution combining management concept BSC and Business Intelligence technology, in order to receive relevant information for effective managing of delegated powers of municipality funding. The final verification of applicability of the proposed solution brings the possibility of using also in other areas.
