Design of a constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment at Lhota u Nahořan
Havlová, Eva ; Vymazal, Jan (advisor) ; Jaroslav, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis deals with the constructed wetlands (an aquatic plant root filter). It characterizes a principle of effluent treatment, types of wetlands and treatment process. A part of the thesis is focused on wastewater sampling sites in Lhota u Nahořan (situated nearby Náchod in Hradec Králové region) and on process of their evaluation. It also describes the location and method of wastewater flow measurement. The collected indicators of pollution and flow rates of the brook in Lhota were used for hydro-technical calculations required for their own constructed wetland project in Lhota u Nahořan. There are two design options suggested for this given location with a population of 73 residents and where the average wastewater flow, as measured, is 113.18 m3/d. The target rates of the ammonia nitrogen and the total phosphorus in the effluent were determined to be 0.5 mg/l. The first version of the solution was according to the horizontal and the other to the vertical filters. The main advantages of this this solution using aquatic plant root filters include a naturally replicated process of wastewater treatment and low operating costs. Also for these reasons, this green zone method is increasingly used for homes, holiday residences and communities.

Šobov - multicultural community center
Nácarová, Barbora ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
We are bound to live with the Roma, but how… The aim of this study is to create a new concept of the environment as an alternative to the current general plan. In the latest urban plan of the town of Banska Stiavnica, the district of Sobov is designed as a recreation zone. However the plan doesn’t tackle the issue of the ethnical minority. This scheme is based on the simple principle of the interconnection of two key topics: the sustainable development in the prevention of social exclusion and the preservation of the environment. On the one hand, it resumes the continuity of resettlement of Sobov, creating a community feeling and the esteem of one´s home in the inhabitants, on the other hand it provides basic information about the district, life of the Roma and their work to the visitors and also offers an appropriate recreation facility. The majority will have to live side by side with the minority and this provides a chance for better housing to the socially challenged citizens in exchange for their participation on the development. The technical solution considers low-cost tower blocks emphasizing the lifestyle and problems of the Roma people using traditional materials, technologies, unqualified labour and also the already existing boreholes to obtain energy with thermal pumps.

In this part cause of death is precisely defined, the classification of cause of death is given and also the basic principles of classification are described. The analysis of mortality by cause of death in the Czech Republic and regions follows. The annex describes the procedure to calculate the complete life tables, zoning classification and the classification of cause of death are given and there are also tables with data about mortality in the years 2000-2010 for the Czech Republic and its regions.
