Černovská, Eliška ; Turyna, Radovan (advisor)
The theme of my thesis Diseases of the vulva, I chose based on several years of his interest in gynecology and themes associated with that field. Although the vulva is a place that gynecologist for examination by viewing easy accessibility as one of the first, there is no diagnosis of disease in this area does not simple and requires interdisciplinary cooperation. vulva is not only the gateway to the internal genitals, but also a place where meet medical fields, especially gynecology, dermatology and pathology. View of dermatology and gynecology at some disease of the vulva was often different, as well as evaluation severity of disease classification and therapy. Simply words, the gynecologist is usually devoted to lesions that were considered to be precancerous or malignant nature attention to his dermatologist benign dermatózám. The these uncertainties, there were problems, how to evaluate some of the lesions in wider scale. Fortunately there was a unification of terminology when International Society for the Study of vulvar disease (ISSVD - International Society for the Study of vulvar Disease) uniform classification system published by some of the termsgoverning 1) . The Importance of Public Health Protection and Veterinary Services Cooperation in the Prevention of Infectious Diseases
RICHTROVÁ, Daniela
The word infection is a term which causes uncertainty among people. After all, it is not too long ago when people were dying in pandemics of plague, cholera or influenza. A human can be infected by viruses, bacteria, fungal organisms or parasites, many of which can infect several animal species. Diseases transmissible from animals to humans are called zoonoses. For efficient surveillance of zoonoses the cooperation of both veterinary and hygienic services is required. Its aim is timely detection and elimination of infection sources. It is based primarily on pointed veterinary and hygienic-epidemiological surveillance. In this thesis, I focused on the importance of collaboration of veterinary and public health services in the prevention of infectious diseases. One of the objectives of this work is to compare the occurrence of selected human zoonosis diseases in South Bohemia in the years 2002-2010. The second objective is to compare the extent of anti-epidemic measures adopted by veterinary services and public health authorities. In this thesis, a qualitative-quantitative research was utilized. The research aimed to determine the importance of cooperation of public health authorities and veterinary services in the prevention of infectious diseases. The quantitative part of the survey was conducted through the method of secondary data analysis. In the qualitative part of the survey, a semi-structured interview was held with the head of the epidemiology department of the District Hygienic Station of České Budějovice and with the director of the Regional Veterinary Administration for the South Bohemian Region. On the basis of the results of the research and implemented interviews I came to this conclusion: 1) The co-operation during the transmission of infectious diseases is ensured sufficiently. 2) The range of anti-epidemic measures adopted in the veterinary field and in the field of public health is sufficient. This thesis can serve as an educational material for students studying Bachelor or Master Degree of public health protection, because as public health service employees they will deal with issues related to veterinary supervision in practice.

Effect of membrane lipid composition on resistance against surfactin
Pinkas, Dominik ; Seydlová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Sýkora, Jan (referee)
Surfactin is an antibiotic produced by several strains of B. subtilis. Its broad range of biological activities is interesting from perspective of medicine, food industry and bioremediation and is based on its surface-active properties and interaction with biological membranes. The latter means mainly forming ion channels, conductive pores and with increasing concentration eventually disrupting membrane structure in detergent-like manner. Mechanism of resistance of producing strain against its own toxic product is not yet fully understood. This work shows that it could be based on surfactin target modification - which means altering membrane lipid composition. We were able to recognize surfactin-formed ion channels or pores with a broad range of conductivities spanning from 2 pS to 2 nS using BLM method. Liposome leakage assay with carboxyfluorescein revealed few distinct mechanisms of lysis, differing in amplitude, rate of lysis and cooperativity. Increased content of anionic lipids with conical shape, namely cardiolipin and phosphatidic acid led to substantial increased membrane resistance to surfactin-induced permeabilization. Key words: membrane, surfactin, Bacillus subtilis, cardiolipin, black lipid membranes, liposomes

The impact of IMF financial aid on economic growth and inflation
Covalenco, Valeri ; Horváth, Roman (advisor) ; Mejstřík, Michal (referee)
The International Monetary Fund was created to promote financial stability, global monetary cooperation, high employment, international trade and sustainable economic growth. Together with the World Bank, IMF has a "monopoly" on offering loan programs for countries in deep crises or for development projects. In this thesis, we examine the effect of IMF, i.e. loan size and quotas, on the economic growth and inflation rate, by applying a dynamic panel regression on our dataset. In addition, we look at how the IMF Quotas influence the size of the loans. Our empirical results display significant evidence that IMF loans influence the GDP growth in a positive manner, in the medium term. Both Control of Corruption and Voice & Accountability have a negative influence on the economic growth. In other words, less corruption and stronger civil rights will halt the growth level of the economy. We also determined that IMF Quotas is not a robust indicator of the loan size. It is only driven by the past loan levels. Regarding Inflation determinants, IMF loans are not affecting the Inflation in a significant manner, while FDI and Control of Corruption - do. FDI exercises a positive influence on the CPI, while perception of less corruption has a negative effect on Inflation rate. JEL Classification D73, E31, F12,...

Assessing Roma inclusion specialised NGOs in terms of reacting to Roma needs
Neuhöferová, Michaela ; Moree, Dana (advisor) ; Muhič Dizdarevič, Selma (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to find out the extent to which non-profit organizations (NGOs) specialized on Roma inclusion react to their clients' needs. The thesis works with qualitative research method that is based on interviews with NGOs representatives and field researchers, and a questionnaire filled by Roma clients. The research is focused on four main factors which are: communication with Roma clients, efficiency efforts, dependence on funding requirements, and a support of intercultural meetings between Roma people and the majority. According to the results of the analysis there are different strategies amongst the organizations but all of them try to work in compliance with the needs of their clients. The experience of the interviewed field researchers and Roma clients prove that the NGOs' activities are sufficient and correspond with the real needs of their Roma clients to great extent. Key Words: Roma, inclusion, Roma inclusion, NGO, non-profit organizations, needs, efficiency, communication, empowerment
