Topical issues of parental responsibility
Marková, Adéla ; Radvanová, Senta (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee)
61 English summary: My dissertation is called Actual questions about execution of parental responsibility. I've chosen an individual theme, because I'm interested in it. Family has a leading part in every society, it's a basic social unit and stone of people's company on all over the world. Family law is a part of civil law in which we can find most principles of family law. Family law may be defined as body of law which attemps to regulate the internal relationships within the family and the relationship of the family to the outside world.52 Family is a group of people connected by a close relationship, which means by blood, marriage or adoption. My dissertation is composed of five chapters. First is devoted to family and her protection, second to subjects of parental responsibility, third to rights and duties created the parental responsibility, fourth to government's intervation and fifth to international child kidnapping. Basic subjects of parental responsibility are automatically biological parents, mother and father, but this is not an unexceptional rule. We can find many other subjects: for example custodian, fosterer or adoptive parents. Having parental responsibility means for them assuming all the rights, duties, powers, responsibilities and authority that a parent of a child has by law. Parental...

Discrimination in Labor Market - Is Solvent by Adoption of Anti-discriminatory Laws Efficient?
Třesohlavý, Pavel ; Munzi, Tomáš (advisor) ; Koblovský, Petr (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze what can be regarded as discrimination in the labor market and why discrimination in the labor market actually generates, therefore, what makes entrepreneurs (employers) discriminate. Is discrimination socially inefficient, or can non-discriminated groups benefit from it in long term? I will focus on the most frequent types of discrimination in this thesis that may occur in the labor market in Czech Republic. Concretely, it is a racial discrimination (presented by the Romany minority), age discrimination or differences in employment and remuneration between men and women. I will pay my attention also to how is this inefficiency solved by the adoption of anti-discriminatory laws by Czech Government or by institutions of European Union. Is this legislation really effective or does it bring any unintended incidences?

Position of the Catholic Church towards the Law Regarding Comprehensive Schools
Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Application of laws of gender equality by French political parties
Šubertová, Aneta ; Matějka, Ondřej (advisor) ; Tomalová, Eliška (referee)
In 1999, France, after a long and dragging debate, revised its Constitution in order to enable the installation of gender quotas in elected political bodies. In 2000 'parity laws' were enacted. They defined the parameters of these quotas that applied strictly to elections of proportional electoral system, such as elections into municipal councils with over 3.500 inhabitants, regional and European elections, and Senate elections in areas with three and more senators. In elections with plurality voting system, such as legislative elections and Senate elections with one or two senators, the parity was supposed to be achieved by imposing of financial penalty for those political parties that would not comply with the parity laws. This diploma thesis describes a public discussion that had taken place in France before the adoption of the gender parity imposed by the law. It compares four major political parties- the Republicans, Socialist party, The Greens and the National Front. The research analyzes their compliance with parity laws and their implementation on their candidate lists in parliamentary as well as Senate elections. The aim of this diploma thesis is to show and compare the rhetoric and the actions of the studied political parties with regards to the parity. The research analyzes the lists of...

Influence of the European Commission on the Adoption of the Public Service Law in the Czech Republic
Havelka, Vít ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (advisor) ; Weiss, Tomáš (referee)
The master's thesis focuses on the role of the European Commission in the adoption of the Public Service Law (zákon č. 234/2014 Sb., o státní službě) in the Czech Republic. Its goal is to identify particular European Commission's tools of influence and their utilisation in the analysed case. The case study puts stress not only on hard methods (such as ex ante conditionality), but also on soft forms of influence (e.g. socialisation or persuasion). The Commission's tools were sorted according to Frank Schimmelfennig and Ulrich Sedelmeier's typology: 1) External-Incentive-Model; 2) Social-Learning- Model and 3) Lesson-Drawing-Model. The thesis combines two methodological approaches - process tracing and discursive analysis of relevant Czech actors. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and publically accessible documents.
