The impact of the program LEADER in the region of LAG Království – Jestřebí hory, o.p.s.
Valdová, Kateřina ; Pánek, Pavel (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
First part of this theses deals with theoretical knowledge about local action group (LAG), their way of functioning, strategical documents and project management within the life cycle of LAG projects. On the other hand it introduces a theory about monitoring project, monitoring indicators and setting their in and out values. Second, practical, part of two the theses has also two spectrums. First part alleges from data collected during monitoring projects in LAG Království Jestřebí hory o.p.s. Data are focused at most on fulfilling monitoring indicators during last program period in between 2007 and 2013 and they are summed up as a recommendation for the new programming period. Programming period 2014 and 2020 has so far introduced a new method of setting up indicators, which is also described in this theses, including the restrictions that LAG has to deal with. Practical part is ended by commentary on setted values and their actual possibility of fullfillment in real life. The entire theses ends the final summery in which the author states her own reccomendations and tips regarding the setting or evaluation of monitoring indicators.

Support of real-time services in recent 3G mobile networks
Vinkler, Lukáš ; Mácha, Tomáš (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This Master’s thesis is focused on the recent 3G mobile networks. The first chapter describes an evolution of standardization 3G and surveys a gradual development of 3G networks in Czech Republic from a point of view of commercially launched technologies and assigned frequency spectrums for single mobile operators. UMTS and CDMA 2000 are briefly approached in next subchapters. The subchapter CDMA 2000 is briefly concentrated on architecture and a physical layer of this technology and characterizes main features of four revises of developmental branch CDMA 2000 1x EV-DO. The subchapter UMTS is especially focused on a comparison of air interfaces TD-CDMA and W-CDMA. New features were implemented to the recent system UMTS for a better support of real-time services. These features increasing a throughput and decreasing a delay are described in a chapter Technology HSPA. This chapter chooses the most important features and describes changes (in a control and architecture) which had to be implemented. First chapter is finished by technology WiMAX. The most recent perspective cell systems are compared with WiMAX in this subchapter and qualitative parameters of WiMAX are shown there. The three different 3G technologies (UMTS-FDD, UMTS-TDD and CDMA 2000) are lunched in Czech Republic. The second chapter briefly compares coverage of three czech mobile operators (Telefónica O2, T-Mobile and U:fon) and then presents results of qualitative parameters of used 3G technologies. The simulation conducted by software IxChariot were focused on to gauge parameters like throughput, delay, jitter, lost data, MLR and DF. The conditions for providing real-time services were specified based on simulations that were practically checked. The lab composed in last chapter should bring closer to students technology UMTS-TDD launched by T-Mobile. The students will measure the qualitative parameters of this technology with the assistance of commonly available tools.

This Bachelor´s thesis entitled The Economic Impact of Supporting Regional Development is concerned with a summary of the problem of unemployment, the employment market, and salary evolution/development in the Louny district. This is one of the key themes of the current and also future economy of the state. The problem of unemployment affects the whole of society and each individual separately. The objective of this thesis is to identify and evaluate the economic impact of supporting regional development, evaluate the knowledge gained, warn about the problems discovered in the district and deduce recommendations, which would lead to an impovement in the situation in the selected district of Louny. In the thesis, a summary and evaluation of the current state of selected demographic, socioeconomic and economic aspects of regional development support in the Louny area has been carried out. An important part of the work is the analysis of secondary sources and the analysis of secondary sources data, this data was subjected to quantitative research. During writing the thesis qualitative research was carried out by interviewing. Not the least part was the use of the synthesis of knowledge method and also the evaluation of the theoretical and practical parts of the thesis. From the results of the survey it is clear that unemployment in the region has been above the national average for a long time. However, recently positive developments have been registered. In order to continue that trend, improved communication between the Employment Office and existing employers, and also attracting new investors to the region is recommended.

Participants in local development (Kácov, Chlum, Tichonice, Kladruby)
Jirků, Markéta ; Kocmánková Menšíková, Lucie (advisor) ; Pavel, Pavel (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to compare and evaluate the importance of social activities, whether and how it contributes to quality and to the development of local life and local communities in the surveyed municipalities Chlum, Tichonice and Kladruby (municipalities under three hundred inhabitants) and compare the social activity of these municipalities with the thee times bigger township Kácov. The aim of this thesis is to find out the reason why smaller municipalities under three hundred inhabitants appear to be as active as the larger township. The theoretical part defines the terminology related to the topic. The empirical part of the work consists of secondary and comparative data analysis of actors, activities, and community amenities. Secondary and comparative data analysis showed that social life in small municipalities is varied and rich especially in entertainment, cultural and sport activities. Compared to the bigger township there is less folklore and education activities in smaller municipalities. It was found that the most active municipality is Kladruby with the activity ratio to population of 5,3%, followed by Tichonice with 3,6%, township Kácov with 3,3% and Chlum with 3%. It came out that there is not a direct correlation between the number of actors and social activity of the municipality. The activity of individual actors is different. It means that it is not the truth, that the more groups of actors are in the municipality, the more activities are held by the actors in the municipality. It was found that township Kácov disposes with the most diverse community amenities. Despite of a noticeable impact of community amenities on regularity of organizing activities, this factor is not the only condition for organizing activities. Deficiencies in community amenities can be partially replaced by well-functioning common organizing activities by actors, what is the factor what differentiate smaller municipalities from the large township. Exogenous approach was, over the last ten years, evident in all of the examined municipalities. There was obtained and invested financial resources to the municipalities community amenities, which allowed organizing new activities or continuing with organizing of existing activities. The empirical survey was carried out through semi-structured interviews with the actors operating in the public and nonprofit sector in the examined municipalities. A key factor in the activity organizing is community involvement connected with the mutual cooperation of individual actors (i.e. a combination of utilization of actor´s cultural and social capital). Smaller municipalities may not seem, to the interviewees actors, as active as three times bigger township. Reasons why smaller municipalities may seem as active as the larger township are more significant community involvement and a higher rate of cooperation between actors in organizing activities in smaller communities. The social life plays an important role in all of the examined communities - especially in creating and maintaining interpersonal relationships, in strengthening social cohesion, preserving the traditions and creating the relationship with the place. It was found and confirmed how important endogenous approach (active actor) in development of examined communities is. With the proper supplementation and harmonization with exogenous approach can be the endogenous approach further stimulated.

Relationship between genes for the immune system and functional traits (reproduction and health) in cattle
Ječmínková, Kateřina ; Majzlík, Ivan (advisor)
In cattle, we observe a decrease trend in the level of reproduction and animal health. This decline is associated with an increase in milk yield. This situation has a negative impact on the farm economy, animal welfare and safety of product. The traditional selection program is in these so-called functional traits ineffective and there is need to find a new ways of animal breeding. In this problematic traits marker assisted selection and the related genomic animal selection is proposed to be a good tool for animal breeding. The present work summarizes the problems of selected functional traits in cattle and provides an overview on genetic markers and possibilities for their use. Further attention is paid to the studied genes and their associations to functional features which have been published in the scientific literature. At the end, the first results are presented describing the genotype frequencies for the first four studied polymorphic regions in Czech Fleckvieh cattle.

Regional Differentiation of Swahili Identity - Case Study of Vanga and Ushongo
Mbezi, Barbora ; Havlíček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Frajer, Václav (referee)
This thesis deals with the formation of the Swahili identity within two countries: Kenya and Tanzania. The Swahili people have inhabited the East African coast since the first millennium, utilizing local resources to trade and to create their sophisticated social position. The philosophy of Islam had a considerable influence on the development of the Swahili culture. These traditional elements typical for the Swahili culture were significantly restricted by the period of colonialism, where newly formed boundaries divided this ethnic group. The situation on both sides of the border is analysed through quantitative and qualitative research, which offers a complex view on the issue. The results show that selected cities are very similar with only small differences - often related to the closeness or openness of the village towards increasing tourism. In general the established boundaries play almost no role in shaping the Swahili identity. The Swahili people retain their traditional position within the East African coast, although their relations with other countries are less pronounced as the distance between them increases.

Optimization and application of in vitro techniques in selected members of the family Brassicaceae
Hilgert-Delgado, Alois Antonín ; Fernández Cusimamani, Eloy (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
This thesis is focused on the application and optimization of biotechnological methods within the family Brassicaceae. Most of this thesis is focused specifically the genus Brassica. The main objective of this dissertation thesis was to optimize and apply selected biotechnological methods in the resynthesis of oilseed rape (B. napus) from its baseline species (B. oleracea, CC and B. rapa, AA) and subsequently create valuable genetic plant materials. The optimized procedure implemented in my work have exhibited better results of hybrid production (resynthesis) than in similar published experiments and provides a simplified and less laborious method via simple ovule culture and early hybrid verification. The next accomplished step was to work with a wider range of materials using a broader source of different and contrasting genotypes from Brassica rapa (spring and winter oilseed and vegetable turnips) and B. oleracea (green and purple curly kales and cabbages) for new combinations and wider genetic diversity. It was concluded that the optimized ovule culture protocol with early verification, developed in the framework of this thesis, is satisfactorily sufficient enough to be applicable in breeding programmes, aimed at diversity expansion of winter oilseed rape gene pool, as the resynthesized embryos were derived in most combinations. New resynthesized verified lines were colchicine treated in order to obtain diploid regenerants and the fertile plants were self-pollinized and crossed with elite oilseed rape lines for further research and breeding.
