This thesis deals with the information system in the context of business processes. The work processes are analyzed, their interconnection with the information system and where it is possible to improve the information system. To take into account a number of criteria and are designed such changes that will help employees and customers. The main idea behind the changes is to assist in the automation of processes, less administrative burden on staff and supporting tools for managerial decision-making. In conclusion, the benefits are reviewed and assessed intensity changes.

This master’s thesis is focused on information system assessment and proposal for its changes in real company enviroment. Theoretical part describes issue and notions from information systems, analytical instruments, processes and projects enviroment. In analytical part is situated introduction of the company and analysis of current state its information system and processes. Based on findings from analysis are made recomendations and proposals for possible changes.

This thesis deals with the implementation of enterprise information system ERP in a construction company KORA-VODOSTAVING Ltd. In the first part, I briefly describe the theoretical framework and the background of the issue. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the critical factors and risks associated with the selection, implementation and operation of ERP system. The result of the thesis is not only the development of proposals to reduce the risks, but also time and economic evaluation of the project and my recommendations for the analyzed company.

Assessing the company’s information system, this thesis deals with an analysis and proposal to changes, that lead to improvement of a company‘s current situation. In the introductory part there is a theoretic explanation regarding the issue of information systems and also a description of some analytical tools. In the next part there is an acquaintance with a company and an analysis of a current state of IS/ICT using several methods. The results of this analytical part then serve as proposal to changes including benefits evaluation, which the company can use and therefore improve its current position on the market.

The thesis aims to describe the selection of a new information system, which should lead to process streamlining and a boost in the number of customers at Rumburak s.r.o. The first chapter lays out the theoretical knowledge needed to tackle the task at hand. The following section analyzes the internal and external environment of the company and the implications thereof. The proposal portion contains a comparison of the available information systems and selects the best among them. It develops a schedule for the implementation of the new IS, along with identifying the benefits and economic evaluation of the entire proposal.

The diploma thesis analyses application of information systems in a company called Měšťanský pivovar Havlíčkův Brod a.s. The theoretical part contains an introduction to the topics of corporate informatics and information systems. It also describes various methods and procedures of the analyses used in the thesis. On the basis of the analyses performed in the following chapter, there are discovered drawbacks that are crucial to design subsequent changes in the system. These changes may be used by a company management as a solid source of improvements of the current information systems.
