Design and analysis of the cross table
Zemčík, Matěj ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of the cross table. That is, designing a linear guide, a ball screw and a motor. In addition, dynamic simulations are used in the MSC Adams for machining cycle and the positioning cycle of the semi-product at rapid traverse. As a simulation output are the „real“ load patterns of the bearings in the placing of the ball screws and the durability of these bearings.
Ensure the stability of long ball screws and nuts
Dulava, Štěpán ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This Master‘s thesis deals with the construction design of the ball screw shaft supports. Designed supports will serve to increase stability of rotating ball screws. In the introduction detailed description of the ball screws is presented including description of the individual parameters of the ball screw. Next part includes parameters of different ball screw properties and design of individual supports with description and design calculations of individual parts of the supports. Concepts of the supports will be designed in compliance with the ball screw product series of the KSK Precise Motion a.s. company.
The drive of the feed coordinate portal machining center through pinion and rack
Malásek, Petr ; Novotný, Lubomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with determining of technical and economical limits of axis X of portal milling machine driven by gear rack and pinion. And designing drive of axis like this. In chapter overview of the current state of knowledge are researched options of drive systems of linear axis, primarily of using ball screw and couple of pinion and gear rack. Basic parameters of axis X portal milling machines, options of measuring, guiding of axis and electric motors. Then the limit suitability of using pinion and gear rack is determined. In next chapters is designed few variations of arrangements of drives and selected the best one. This arrangement is then designed.
Design of the gantry CNC milling machine with sliding table
Kolář, David ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on design of gantry CNC milling machine with sliding table. Thesis includes the review of components of this machines and comparsion of their options. Servo motors , ball screws and linear guides parameters are calculated. Also the suitable software and hardware for the machine control is chosen. Main parts of the machine were analysed using finite elements method. 3D model, drawings and documentation of machine build are included.
Design of linear axis for heavy machine tool
Göbel, Lukáš ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
The content of this thesis is the description the various component of the linear feed axis, which are used in heavy duty machine tools. This describes their features, advantages and disadvantages and on these basics, are selected different appropriate design variants. In the second part of this thesis has been drawn up constructional design of these variants. They were subsequently compared and then was chosen the most ideal one for the designed machine, which is heavy machine tool upper gantry type. The work also includes the 3D CAD model of the final version and drawing documentation.
Ball screws for the feed system with long stroke
Nováček, Milan ; Novotný, Lubomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
Master´s thesis is directed for long ball screws of nut. It is here wrote their principle, essential type, parameters and current status of single used components. For this thesis is created at program Microsoft Excel methodical calculating of required parameters ball screws of nut. Another they are investigated status of affect length shaft ball screws, as mode storage, type actuator and possible damping. In last part is solved the design of supports long shaft ball screws and is here proposed conceptual process used supports.
Design of a three-axis manipulator
Vojtěch, Michael ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
The goal of master’s thesis is design of a three-axis manipulator working as x-ray unit. Axis include one rotary and two liner. The work is based on the existing manipulator and the goals are reducing vertical installation space, weight reduction, increasing accuracy and repeatability. Creating 3D model with computational report from available components. There is resulting variant solved with linear motor in this thesis with that there is indicated alternative variant but not dealt with in detail.
Modular linear axis
Chlapečka, Tomáš ; Bilík, Martin (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis contains a structural design of linear axis with a stroke up to 800mm and a maximum load of 800N. The thesis also deals with a modular assembly system of the linear axis based on the structural design. Linear axes can be fitted with rolled, whirled and grinded ball screws with thread pitch 5, 10, 16mm and rolled trapezoidal screws on pitch 4 and 8mm. The stroke of the linear axes can be selected in the range from 200 up to 800 mm, with a maximum load of 800N in all linear dimensions. The feed of linear axis is provided by shaped rolling guide way and four trucks. The modular system offers two servo motors with direct and indirect measuring four stepper engines with indirect measuring. The thesis also includes strength and functional calculations of principal components, graphs of the possible load on linear axis in different positions , durability of the ball screws, maximum speed and feed rate of the chosen screws, data sheet, 3D model, drawings and assembly drawings of the nodes.
The Impact of Different Manufacturing Technologies and Thermal Processing of Groove Profiles on the Service Life of Ball Screws
Drábek, Michal ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is ball screw service life measurement. Text is divided on two major parts, theoretical one and practical one. Theoretical part describes three basic methods of ball screws manufacturing – rolling, whirling and grinding. Subsequently, methods of heat treatment (inductive and laser hardening) are mentioned. Practical part is devoted to ball screw service life testing and evaluation of results. Tests were carried out on two sets of two ball screws. First set was manufactured by whirling and grinding followed by inductive hardening. Second set was manufactured by grinding followed by inductive hardening in one case and laser hardening in the second one. Test results were evaluated according to international standards.
