Experiencing of schizophrenia and staying at department of psychiatry
Podstavková, Cecílie ; Goldmann, Petr (advisor) ; Soukupová, Tereza (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with a subjective experiencing of four respondents at acute stage of paranoid schizophrenia and their satisfaction with a treatment and content of time during hospitalization at one of the departments of psychiatry in the Bohnice hospital. It was found out that patients were most satisfied with a care of department's staff. However, a moderate criticism of different departments appeared as well. It was especially criticism of departments with restricted access. As far as experiencing the acute stage of the disorder is concerned, various existential problems, fears, chaotic and odd thinking as well as problems concerning relationships with close people appeared to be related to the disorder itself. The contribution of the thesis is that it points out a possibility of better integration of patients into a cooperation during the treatment through their own understanding of their disease and understanding of their experience. The first part of the thesis defines a concept of schizophrenia from different theoretical points of view which complement one another rather than being in opposition. There are basics of psychiatric knowledge about the illness mentioned in the thesis as well as psychological aspects from psychodynamic theorists' and practitioners' points of view, neuro-...

Blažková, Františka ; Šmíd, Jan (advisor) ; Raudenský, Martin (referee)
from Bacheor thesis Františka Blažková THE INDUSTRIAL CULTURE, PHOTOGRAPHY AND CHILD červen 2013 In this bachelor thesis is thoroughly described a phenomenon of industrial culture with focus on two main fields: architecture and music scene. These two branches of the topic have the best correlation in the sense of architecture as a prototype and music as a mirrored image of architecture. This thesis is mapping the history if industrial architecture and its connection to history of industrial music. Besides the gathering of data concerning this phenomenon and coming to conclusions based on them this thesis also provides an unbiased opinion of the child observer, which is necessary to complete the image. The age of the children was picked according to their socio-cultural knowledge and none or partial knowledge of the topic of industrial architecture. The research was carried out as a questionnaire with attached creative task, based on the reproductions of the photographs taken especially for this thesis.
The Pragmalinguistic analysis of Czech and French commentary
Klabíková Rábová, Tereza ; Kraus, Jiří (advisor) ; Chejnová, Pavla (referee) ; Hoffmannová, Jana (referee)
In the center of interest of this dissertation called The Pragmalinguistic analysis of Czech and French commentary lies in the qualitative methodological approach to a specific media communication form - a printed commentary. The dissertation has several objectives: firstly, it describes the methodological tools used in the francophone analysis of discourse which are consequently used to construct the author's own system as a basis for the analysis. The author has chosen the tools which create language subjectivity and manifestation of the author in the text which are in francophone areas traditionally called as a complex of "énonciation": discourse/history (É. Benveniste), "théorie des blocs sémantiques", polyphony and intertextuality, metaphors, modalisators, deictics, connectors. In the second part of the dissertation, the author uses the theoretical basis built in the first part and applies it to create her own analysis, comparison and final evaluation of two journalistic texts - one from Le Monde and the other one from Hospodářské noviny. The detailed analysis of the texts brings very interesting findings about the different character and construction of the Czech and French commentaries and at the same time, about the different coverage of Czech and French presidency of the Council of the European...
Antonio Machado y Álvarez: flamenco lyrics
Vlková, Jana ; Sánchez Fernández, Juan Antonio (advisor) ; Housková, Anna (referee)
The present work concentrates on the analysis of the most significant aspects of the flamenco lyrics gathered by Spanish folclorist Antonio Machado y Álvarez (Demófilo) in his anthologies Colección de Cantes Flamencos and Cantes Flamencos y Cantares. The collected material consists of short units of poetry called coplas flamencas, which comprise of some few verses. These are used as segments, of which the whole flamenco composition is being built. The first important characteristics, determined by the brevity of the form, is the utmost simplicity and concision of expression: the limited space of these texts does not reduce their capacity for intensive expression. Quite the opposite, often the resulting effect is enhanced, as less is said. As nothing in these texts is autotelic, also the images of the external world serve, in these texts centered on the human being and its inner world, their purpose: they reflect the inner reality. The fact that the subjective inner reality is in the centre of flamenco poetry manifests itself also in that the personal experience is the principal subject, presented from the first person perspective or its capacity for creating the impression of autobiographicity. The expression and sharing of personal experience functions as an advice and a source of information...

Popularity Meter
Hajič, Jan ; Bojar, Ondřej (advisor) ; Popel, Martin (referee)
Having the possibility of automatically tracking a person's popularity in the newspapers is an idea appealing not just to those in the media spotlight. While sentiment (subjectivity) analysis is a rapidly growing subfield of computational linguistics, no data from the news domain are yet available for Czech. We have therefore started building a manually annotated polarity corpus of sentences from Czech news texts; however, these texts have proven themselves rather unwieldy for such processing. We have also designed a classifier which should be able to track popularity based on this corpus; the classifier has been tested on a corpus of product reviews of domestic appliances and some introductory testing has been done on the nascent news corpus. As a model, we simply extract a unigram polarity lexicon from the data. We then use three related methods for identifying lemma polarity and a number of simple filters for feature selection. On the domestic appliance data, our simplest model has achieved results comparable to the state of the art, however, the properties of Czech news texts and preliminary results hint a more linguistically oriented approach might be preferrable.
Reliability of evaluation in selected technical subjects
Konvičková, Hana ; Tvrzová, Ivana (advisor) ; Kasíková, Hana (referee)
v anglickém jazyce Annotation In the theoretical part of my bachelor thesis I deal with the definitions of school evaluation, conception of the current evaluation, types of evaluation, characteristics of evaluation, specifications of the secondary technical school evaluation, as well as the assessment in specialised subjects and reliability of the assessment as the condition of the objective evaluation. The empirical part deals with the level of reliability in the assessment of a set task in the subject - Commercial - Law Correspondence. The written and oral communication and written and electronic communication. The teachers of this subject, at three secondary technical schools in Prague 1, 4 and 9, were asked to give students a specific task and assess it according set criteria. One of the assessors was the teacher of the subject and I was the second one. The reliability was defined as the identity rate of the independent assessment of the same school tasks carried out by two assessors. In the summary I reflect the contribution and drawbacks of the research and the task assessment done by the other teachers and my own assessment. I try to suggest the steps for following the basic rules of criteria in business letters.
Anthropological reflection of Woman in the Second Half of the 19th Century
Vlčková, Lenka ; Kučera, Rudolf (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the transformation of self-intimate feminity in the second half of the 19th century. The primary subject matter of the thesis focuses on the transformation of the female subjectivity in the contrast with the prejudiced and culturally influenced role of a female. The thesis focuses on the biological determination of a female from the masculine perspective in the discourse of the 19th century and on the influence of socializing factors on the change of understanding of the female subjectivity. The primary subject is the role of a mother as a non concept-provider of specific information about the matrimonial cohabitation. The methodology of the thesis concerns historical, culturally - anthropological, sociological survey and the gender and a culturally and socially created construct. The framework is: the biological determination of feminity, female psyche, juvenescence, and enlightenment of church, female readiness for matrimony, bachelor mother. In emphasizes the anomalous demands of female and feminity. A female had been traditionally brought up to the housekeeping, to the role of a mother without being provided with the information about conception and other aspects of intimate cohabitation of spouse. The nuance in the transformation of the feminity during the 19th century is...
City as a fictional character in the postmodernist novel: Alexandria Quartet and The Moor's Last Sigh
Freimannová, Dominika ; Beran, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Clark, Colin Steele (referee)
in English This Bachelor thesis engages with the topic of a portrayal of the city in the postmodern novel which is then studied on the example of two chosen novels: Alexandria Quartet by Lawrence Durrell and The Moor's Last Sigh by Salman Rushdie. Both novels present the urban space as a female character with a strong influence upon the events and the formation of the protagonist's identity. The second chapter is dedicated to a theoretical framework which helps to establish what we can understand under the term modernist literature and it traces the basic features such a literature possesses. For this framework I adopted the study of postmodernism presented by the work of Linda Hutcheon, mostly her A Poetics of Postmodernism. A special attention is dedicated to the aspects of postmodernism that can be applied on the portrayal of space and the relationship existing between postmodernism and modernism. The third chapter outlines the basic concepts of space established by modernism. The major concepts dealt with in this thesis are: subjectivity, perspective, palimpsest and myth. As follows from the relationship between modernism and postmodernism, these concepts should be traceable also in postmodern fiction in a transformed state. According to Linda Hutcheon, the basic tool of this transformation is...
