Srovnání základních parametrů systémů UK ETS a EU ETS

Charter Cities - islands of prosperity with the imported legal system?
Beník, Miroslav ; Šíma, Josef (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
If we consider various improving concepts of governance, we can distinguish two main trends in public choice economics. Neoclassical analysis provides a static view of competitive government, where the main idea is free choice and so-called vote with feet. Dynamic view adds understanding of competition as knowledge generating process and product differentiation. The aim of the work is to evaluate Charter Cities project from the perspective of static and dynamic competition in the government industry, and its potential for rules diffusion to the host country. Seasteading may seem utopian, but the realization would significantly address the problems of decision-making costs and differentiation of governments. Since concepts vary at first sight, purpose of the work is also to compare charter cities and sea cities in terms of their nature, risks, and final applicability in practice. Third, a closer form of activism is the decentralization of government and the transfer of responsibilities to the private communities. Since the government market is 30% of world GDP and is extremely closed and resistant to change, it must compare the three forms of institutional changes, identify under what conditions and in what timeframe are feasible and to determine their significance with regard to their specific nature.

Financing of transformed and private theatres from public budgets
Vančura, Petr ; Riedlbauch, Václav (advisor) ; Vávrová, Hana (referee)
The theoretical part focuses on financing options from theatres from public sources. It deals with resources from the budget of Municipality of the City of Prague, as well as the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. This list is then transferred to the practical part, which deals with the use of these options in Prague's Archa Theatre, which has long maintained the highest rating among theatres in Prague and top position among alternative theatres in the country. The work does not aim to assess the effectiveness of the current grant system or criticize the system of financing culture in the country. The aim is to create a list of potential funding sources for a theatre from public budgets and assess the effectiveness of the acquisition of these resources to the Archa Theatre. The work also deals with the management of Archa compared with the Municipal Theatre Jablonec nad Nisou.

Tax aspects of providing a car to employees
Máleková, Martina ; Slintáková, Barbora (advisor) ; Kučerová, Zuzana (referee)
Providing a car to employees for private use is one of today's most desirable employee benefits. Tax systems of different countries limit advantages resulting from this benefit differently. This bachelor thesis analyses differences in tax incidence of providing a car to employees in the Czech Republic and in Australia. The thesis is structured into three chapters. The first chapter describes the benefit of providing a car to employees and its tax regulation in the Czech Republic. The second chapter attends to this benefit and its taxation in Australia. In the third chapter, tax incidence on disposable income of employees, costs of employers and tax yield is analysed and compared using model taxpayers. The first two chapters, among other things, suggest that the legislation of Australia enables provision of this benefit to a wider range of employees. The third chapter indicates that the taxation in the Czech Republic provides potential for higher savings.

Vortex rope for overload operation of Francis turbine
Kozák, Jiří ; Štefan, David (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with CFD simulation of vortex rope in the elbow draft tube for overload operation of Francis turbine. The main objective of the thesis is to compare results of the CFD simulations of the original elbow draft tube with a derived straight cone draft tube considering volume and the shape of the cavitation region and dynamic flow characteristic. Results of the 3D simulations are also compared with axi-symmetric simulations, which reduce demands for computing time and power.
