The Leader Member Exchange theory is based on the assumption that managers divide their subordinates into two groups: the "in-group" and the "out-group". A manager's in-group is composed of those employees who the manager is fonder of, for whatever reasons, than the members of the out-group. This thesis will first analyze the decision-making style of two managers based on personal interviews. Subsequently, using a questionnaire research, it will prove how the LMX theory applies to the management style of those leaders.

Pekoč, Marek ; Chytil, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Zajíček, Miroslav (referee)
There are many papers using dictator game framework, but only few of them focus on exploring the differences between women's and men's behaviour in this game. The hypothesis we test is that men are more selfish than women. To do that we conducted two versions of the dictator game experiment. In the first treatment subjects were asked to divide money between themselves and well known humanitarian organization after presentation by a organization representative. In the second modification a different group of subjects divided between themselves evaluation points of a particular university course in two rounds and in between these rounds a histogram of the aggregate results of the first round was disclosed to all participants. Experimental results indicate that men behave less altruistic than women in some situations. Men redistributed by 22.7 % less money to the account of the humanitarian organization than women. On the other hand, there was no difference in behavior between two sexes in the first round of the second treatment. In the second round, however, the behaviour of the two genders was significantly differentiated as women were giving by 14, % more points for the benefit of "opponent", as a result of information provided in the first round about aggregate behaviour of the subjects.

Descriptive, doctrinal and comparative methods are used to analyze the main trends in the lobbying regulation of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as well as Australia. The text is structured into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the definition of lobbying and its differences from corrupt dealings; it also covers the types of lobbying activities and the various kinds of lobbyists. The second chapter attempts to contextualize lobbying into the theories of the decision-making process. A comparison of the similarities and differences of the lobbying rules is made and analyzed in the third and fourth chapters. Both the third and the fourth chapter have a similar structure -- first, the general rules and approaches to regulation are introduced, and then a comparison of selected English-speaking countries is made. The third chapter deals with the most common rules for lobbyists; the fourth chapter focuses on the relatively neglected side of lobbying contacts, i.e. the rules for the targets of lobbying (public office holders). In the end, some measures and recommendations for the Czech Republic are also outlined.
