History of the Sokol Club I. Smíchov

Title: The History of the Sokol Club I. Smíchov Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with history of Sokol Club I. Smíchov since its establishment till year 1940. The aim of this thesis is not only to describe its history and activities but also shortly give account of Sokol Club. The part of thesis attends to history of the town of Smíchov which is definitely connected with Sokol Club Smíchov. The thesis called "The history of the Sokol Club I. Smíchov" is based on research on historical sources and literature. Mostly I insisted on archival documents from The National Museum, The Collection of Physical Education and Sport and on archival documents of Sokol Club I. Smíchov. From literature I used publications about history of the town of Smíchov and about history and persons of consequence of the Sokol Club. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part is divided into an introduction and an analysis of archival documents, literature and working methods. Next part describes the history of the town of Smíchov, the history of the Sokol Club and biographies of Miroslav Tyrš and Jindřich Fügner, too. There is also described the history of Sokol Club I. Use of Definite Article with Toponyms in Spanish

The aim of this work is to clarify the use of definite article with toponyms. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical one and practical one. In the theoretical part, we deal with the general overview of definite article, proper name and their relation. The subject of the research of the practical part are selected toponyms, with which the use of definite article varies according to the norm. There are four chosen toponyms from Hispanic America: (la) Argentina, (el) Perú, (el) Paraguay, (el) Ecuador, and one from non-Hispanic world: (el) Japón. We analise the tendecies of the usage of definite article in front of the chosen toponyms by means of monolingual corpora CREA and CORPES XXI. : The acquisition of the article by Czech learners of Dutch as a foreign language

This Master's thesis deals with the phenomenon of learning Dutch as a foreign language. The paper draws upon the fundamental theories and methods associated with applied linguistics on second language acquisition, in particular on the interlanguage hypothesis. The theoretical basis to this study comes from psycholinguistic processes that accompany the second language acquisition, such as language transfer, fossilization, overgeneralization and variability. This section is followed by a brief summary of the theory of the Dutch article, in contrast with an outline on how definiteness and indefiniteness are expressed in Czech. The paper also mentions some recent findings on article acquisition by second language learners. The practical part describes and analyses a small corpus of written utterances by Czech students who followed courses of Dutch language and literature at three Czech universities. The corpus consists of utterances made by speakers at two levels of language proficiency. The thesis seeks to observe the differences between lower intermediate and upper intermediate students. The research focuses mainly on general tendencies in article use. Various factors that influence the use of this grammatical category are discussed. Marketing activities Euromedia Group in 2011-2013

The aim of the thesis "Marketing activities Euromedia Group in 2011-2013" is to present the marketing communications of one of the strongest publishing houses in the Czech Republic: Euromedia Group. The company also owns a nationwide distribution network through which it gets its titles to all households, bookshop networks, supermarket chains or to booksellers and also one of the biggest reader's club in the country. At the beginning of the thesis the company is introduced, including its history and rules of membership in the reader's club. The following chapters focus on its marketing activities. They include the current members care, recruit new members recruitment and book events for the public. The thesis addresses also support of Czech authors and the Knižní klub Literary Award that is one of its tools. The promotion of books in various media is explored in the final chapters. Generic use of articles in French This Diploma thesis deals with the generic use of articles in the French language. It is divided into the theoretical and the experimental part. After the broader introduction into the issue of determinants, the most important part of the work treats genericity expressed in French by the definite article in singular and plural as well as by the indefinite article in singular. Firstly, the existing research on the subject of generic articles is studied, including the presentation of various approaches and principal theories, then is formulated proper syntactic and semantic interpretation of genericity which is finally verified in the experimental part of the thesis based on the analysis of model sentences. The project for building a member database

The object of this bachelor's thesis is to create a design of database for needs of a civil association Cyrilek.net. The objective of this database is to cover all registration processes in frame of this organization, which deal especially with filling personal information and notes about installed hardware. An user interface for access to the database will be also designed and partially realized in form of information system, which will be accessible through web browser.
