Analysis of the impact of agriculture on the Czech economy

This thesis deals with the analysis of the impact agriculture has on the Czech economy in the context of Ukraine crisis and international sanctions against the Russian Federation and its embargo on food imports from the EU. Theoretical part of the thesis defines the current status agriculture has in the Czech economy and the main changes that came with Czech Republic joining the EU. The theoretical part also describes main events of the Ukraine crisis and specifications of the sanctions imposed during the conflict. First part of the thesis also includes methodology of the indicators necessary for the practical research and basic terms are defined. The practical part deals with comparative analysis of indicators such as GDP, agricultural producer prices, employment and wage development and economic results in agriculture in the period 2010 - 2014 (in the case of data availability, part of the year 2015 is included). Thesis leads to verfication of the hypothesis and classifies the status of agriculture in Czech economy during last years.
Impacts of the Great Depression on the Czechoslovak Industry and Agriculture in the 30s of the 20th century

The aim of this thesis is analyse impacts of the Great Depression on Czechoslovak economy. Main attention is devoted to industry and agriculture. This thesis also describes real measures which were introduced in those sectors of Czechoslovak economy. Those measures are also critically evaluated. Unlike the major part of studies, the Great Depression is researched from the perspective of Czechoslovak economists and economic theorists. The Great Depression is described in context of Czechoslovak political spectrum. The main theory of the thesis is statement that Czechoslovak government has chosen correct measures for stabilization the Czechoslovakian economy. Nevertheless I disprove this thesis in the end. Based on comparison with industrial and agricultural production indexes I found that worse impact of crisis was at industry than agriculture.
The development of employment in agriculture and the influence of employment on the countryside stabilization

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the development of the employment. The bachelor's thesis examines the situation in the South Bohemia Region and further evaluates, if there is any influence of the development on the countryside stabilization. For this purpose were processed the data, which are publishing by the Czech Statistical Office. The first part of the bachelor's thesis is mostly focused on the Czech Republic and its countryside. It describes the population, employment and unemployment. The second part is focused on the South Bohemia Region and its comparison with the Czech Republic. The quality of agriculture and the employment in agriculture is being compared in this part. The graphs are processed in the analytical part, which represents the progress of the population number, the progress of the total employment and the progress of the employment in agriculture. In this bachelor's thesis are being researched the districts of České Budějovice, Tábor and Jindřichův Hradec. In these selected districts there are being monitored the progress of the population number, the progress of the total employment and the progress of the employment in agriculture.
Specifics of big farms evaluation

The thesis focus on the evaluation of big farms with high share of rented farmland and expired restitution liabilities. First the value of rent contracts is valuated, then farm is evaluated with DCF and EVA methods and finally a company is evaluated by asset evaluation including value of rent contracts.
Assessing the economic level of the main categories of farms in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the economic level of Czech farms. To achieve this goal, the standard output indicators will be analyzed according FADN methodology. The analysis will be done according to the main categories of the farms according to type of farming, economic size, legal status and relationship with the LFA. Another goal is to make international comparisons of Czech agriculture with a sample of the European Union countries again by analyzing data from the FADN EU. The main purpose of the international comparison is to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the Czech agriculture affecting its competitiveness among the EU countries.
Crop production in current assets

This bachelors thesis deals with the specifics of agriculture that affect the economy and accountancy in agricultural firms, it also discusses the classification of crop production, valuation issues and accounting of this production. The work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The aim is to focus on capturing crop production in current assets according to Czech accounting standards and impact of improvement activity of crop production in accounting concrete company.
Revision of the Common Agricultural Policy and its impact in Slovakia

The theme of this thesis is the impact of the new reform of the common agricultural policy in Slovakia. The main objective is to describe changes that come with the last reform of the common agricultural policy brought and detect the likely impacts on the Slovak agriculture. Substantial part is also evaluating the impact of Slovakia's entry into the EU on the Slovak agriculture sector. After analyzing the available data, I found out that the reform will have predominantly positive impact on Slovakia. The greatest threat to Slovakia, capping, was not approved as required. Noting the impact of this reform is an important asset to outline the changes, benefits and potential negatives that farmers should expect. It can also be an instrument to eliminate the negative iamge of this policy, as a policy for Slovakia unhelpful.
Attitudes of Agricultural Entrepreneurs to Comprehensive Land Adjustments

Aim of bachelor thesis is to design the landscape measures that are consistent with sustainable development, on selected cadastral territories in the catchment area of Trnava. In addition, will be also found attitudes of the agricultural organizations to proposed amendments to the land that they own or lease. The proposed landscape measures will seek to restore the fundamental ecological functions of the landscape, especially the stabilization of the water regime, restore biodiversity and lay the foundations for a high quality of life in the landscape. In the theoretical part defines the terms landscape, landscape character, elements of the landscape, ecological stability, land management, agricultural, its development and impact on the landscape, landscape adjustment, land adjustment and territorial system of ecological stability. The practical part describes the selected area - Cadastral territories Hořepník and Košetice, also presented farms - Agrodam Hořepník Ltd. and Agropodnik Košetice, Plc. Proposals landscape measures are designed with an emphasis on stabilization and drainage conditions and improve biodiversity of the landscape. With using Quantum GIS are measures drawn into the map. In an interview with agricultural entrepreneurs will be questions aimed at comprehensive land adjustment in general, on the proposed land adjustment and their willingness to embrace change. Of obtained responses by the interviewed subjects, we can state that depends only and only on the interests of farmers and sophistication of man, what is the view of the problems of land adjustment. Unfortunately, it is well known that the farmers of these arrangements often look very negatively. Comprehensive land adjustments complicate their work, but they are necessary; therefore, to look for tools those farmers attitudes have changed. These tools include a change of subsidy policy, attitudes of insurance, the influence of the local community, education and enlightenment of the company. On the basis of findings can be said that as land adjustment, which are currently implemented, are adapt rather to the needs of farms. In my view, however comprehensive land adjustments be in the public interest to implement consistently. In order to reach the target condition, it is necessary to create tools to accelerate progress.
Options effective use of private insurance for chosen agricultural company

This aim of this thesis is to tackle the effective use of risk management within private insurance for a selected agricultural company. The paper suggests that it is fundamental to identify such a risk and subsequently define it. Consequently, the identified risk is analysed along with the concept of insurance, which is also essential for work. After an analysis of agricultural insurance in the Czech Republic, the paper further compares the variety of insurance available as offered by local insurance companies. The state's point of view is scrutinized in relation to the variety of insurance offered, as the state provides the Support and Guarantee Fund and Agricultural and Forestry Fund, Inc., which provides subsidies to the farmers. Subsequently, the paper demonstrates the importance of the insurance broker, who acts as a mediator between the insurance company and the farmer. In conclusion, the paper will contemplate to illustrate a real-life example in an agrarian society.
