Interactive Visualisation of RELAX NG Schemas

The aim of this thesis is to create a tool for visualisation of RELAX NG schemas. RELAX NG schemas define a form of XML documents. They determine what elements and attributes can be used in the document and how they can be combined. Visualisation of schemas enables easier orientation in the structure of RELAX NG patterns. This can be useful for both developers of schemas and users who use schemas for creation of XML documents. RELAX NG schema can be written using XML, which enables its visual representation by means of tree structure. Moreover, the model of the tree is interactive which enables users to display only the branches they are interested in. The aim will be reached in several steps. At first, it is necessary to analyze properly the structures of RELAX NG language with respect to their future visualisation. Next step is SVG format for description of vector graphics. SVG format can be written using XML as well. Interactivity of the model described by SVG is enabled by ECMAScript. The conversion from RELAX NG to SVG graphics will be done by means of XSLT transformation. The main contribution of this thesis will be the visualisation which facilitates the orientation in the schema for both users and developers. Only XSLT processor and a file with XSLT transformation will be needed for the visualisation of RELAX NG. The file with XSLT transformation will be the output of this thesis. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part is focused on the analysis of the structures of RELAX NG language and the possibilities of their visualisation. Particular attention will be given to the current possibilities of graphic interpretation of schemas. The second part is devoted to the design of graphic symbols for individual nodes of the graphic model and the possibilities of their interaction. The third part deals with the prototype implementation of transformation of RELAX NG to SVG graphics.

Web 2.0 technology

Práce nahlíží na téma ?Technologie Web 2.0? zejména z pohledu tvůrce internetových stránek. Čtenář je nejprve seznámen s klíčovými principy, které mu pomohou přemýšlet o internetových stránkách v duchu Webu 2.0. Dále je uveden stručný přehled webových technologií na straně prohlížeče a srovnání nejvýznamějších webových technologií na straně serveru. Nejrozsáhlejší část práce se věnuje technologii AJAX a objektu XmlHttpRequest. Veškerá funkcionalita je popsána nejprve v teoretické rovině formou komentované dokumentace. Následuje praktická ukázka tvorby kompletní AJAX aplikace včetně ukládání a načítání dat z databáze. Jsou diskutovány výhody a nevýhody AJAXu. Závěrečná kapitola se dotýká vybraných javascriptových knihoven a frameworků.

XML error indication improvement possibilities

The main point of this thesis is the option to improve the indication of an error in XML documents for SAX. The thesis could be divided into three parts. The first part describes parsers from the theoretic point of view. The second part is about SAX and current forms of reporting the occurrences of errors in XML documents. The last part is about my program JKER. This program is able to indicate the occurrence of an error using XPath expression.

Applying Business Intelligence tools for the Financial and Property Analysis of Municipalities

This master thesis deals with the software support of one Financial and Property Analysis of Municipalities (FAMA). The co-author of this method is Doctor Petr Toth from the Institute of Public Administration and Regional Development at University of Economics in Prague. The method is supported by Microsoft Access database application and two C++ applications ArisDestiller and Prognoza at present time. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the present software support of Financial and Property Analysis and implement an alternative solution based on Business Intelligence tools. Chosen part of analysis is implemented in the pilot project using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 environment. The thesis focuses mainly on using integration tools for XML data. The contribution of the thesis is to implement data warehouse, which uses the municipalities'annual bills in XML format from the database of Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic. The Financial and Property Analysis method and the current software support are discussed in the first half of this thesis. The other half of the work is dedicated to the Business Intelligence pilot project. Both means of software support are reviewed and compared from various perspectives in the conclusion.

Compound XML documents

Tato práce se zabývá různými charakteristikami komponovaných dokumentů a ukazuje potencionální výhody využití takových dokumentů v prostředí dnešního Webu. Hlavní pozornost je soustředěna na problémy spojené s validací komponovaných dokumentů. Práce zkoumá různé přístupy k řešení těchto problémů. Validační metoda NVDL (Namespace-based Validation Dispatching Language) je popsána detailně. Tato práce popisuje hlavní principy NVDL, zkoumá výhody a nevýhody oproti jiným přístupům a představuje JNVDL. JNVDL je kompletní implementace specifikace NVDL, která byla napsána v jazyce Java jako součást této práce. Popsány jsou nejen technické prvky implementace, ale JNVDL je představeno i z uživatelské perspektivy. Pro ověření využitelnosti bylo JNVDL integrováno do existujícího projektu pro validaci webových dokumentů s názvem Relaxed, aby jednoduše zpřístupnilo validaci komponovaných dokumentů autorům webového obsahu.

XML bezpečnost a její uplatnění v univerzitním informačním prostředí

XML security je komplexem bezpečnostních řešení, která spojují rysy XML a internetu k řešení bezpečnosti zejména v rozsáhlých počítačových sítích. XML security se velmi dynamicky rozvíjí, v současnosti jsou některé části (podpis, šifrování) již ve fázi konečného vývoje, jiné stále procházejí velmi rychlým vývojem, který je velmi obtížné sledovat. Hlavním cílem práce bylo kriticky zmapovat oblast XML security, popsat výhody, zápory i rizika proti jiným bezpečnostním řešením, a navrhnout některé možnosti použití v univerzitním informačním systému.

XML technology and B2B systems

Tato práce se snaží pokrýt využití XML technologií v elektronickém podnikání. Popisuje standardy jako cXML, xCBL, UBL a blíže se věnuje konceptu ebXML. Nabízí pohled na dosavadní, minulé a možné budoucí způsoby elektronické komunikace. Pojednává o možnostech XML technologií a moderních trendech komunikace autonomních systémů. Rozebírá přínosy XML technologií v B2B, jejich výhody a možnosti nahrazení starých technologií jako EDI. Zabývá se technologickou stránkou věci i krátce pohledem vývojáře. Stěžejní část je věnována standardům výměny dat a webovým službám, opomenuty nejsou ani pojmy jako XML-RPC, SOAP, WSDL a UDDI. Nechybí porovnání ebXML a webových služeb. Jednou z otázek, na kterou práce odpovídá, je možnost rozšíření nebo nasazení XML technologií v elektronickém zásobování nebo elektronických tržištích a proč stále jsou v těchto oblastech používány technologie EDI.

XML specification proposal of electronically signed documents with timestamp.

Cílem diplomové práce bylo vypracovat návrh XML specifikace elektronicky podepsané zdravotnické dokumentace s časovým razítkem. V úvodu práce jsou definovány základní pojmy a principy digitálního podpisu. Následující kapitola obsahuje popis klasického obecného archivu. Archiv zdravotnické dokumentace se však od toho klasického liší. Dokumenty nejsou archivovány natrvalo avšak pouze po dobu specifikovanou legislativou. To je základní specifikum. Zdravotnická dokumentace má však další specifika, ze kterých je nutné vycházet. Dokumenty budou do archivační skupiny neustále přibývat, bude proměnlivá doba archivace zdravotnické dokumentace v závislosti na událostech v pacientově životě a dalším problémem je i fakt, že neexistuje závazná specifikace formální podoby zdravotnické dokumentace. Navrhovaná XML specifikace vychází z rozšířené základní syntaxe XML podpisu o elementy pro oblast archivace (XAdES-A) a ze specifikace základních metadat popsané ve standardu Dublin Core. Specifikace byla tvořena s cílem maximální univerzálnosti pro použití v oblasti zdravotnictví.

Využití XML pro účetní výkaznictví

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na možnost využití XML v účetnictví. Po jejím přečtení by měl zájemce o tuto problematiku pochopit základní mechanismy umožňující znovu použití již jednou zaznamenaných dat. Kapitoly obsahují informace o zákoně o elektronickém podpisu a současném i budoucím stavu XBRL jako ho vidí instituce IASB. V praktické části jsou obsaženy soubory: schéma dokumentu (XSD i DTD), některé možnosti sestavení XML dokumentu dle schématu a transformace údajů do jednotlivých výstupů ? HTML, PDF, XML.
