Evaluation of the investment intention – Geothermal power plant

The aim of this master's thesis is to create a project of a small power plant in the Czech republic, which would be powered by geothermal energy as a renewable energy source. Followed by evaluation of economic effectiveness and return of that investment. For which I use known methods for evaluation and investment decision making.
Modern trends in energetics of sustainable development

The aim of the thesis is to explain both the practical and theoretical aspects of the current trends in the development of sustainable communities. On the one hand, saving electricity and heat energy standards implementations - passive house, energy+, etc.; on the other hand, the possibilities of local communities supplying renewable electricity and heat in order to reach the highest share of renewable energy. In the practical part I will focus on the implementation of saving measures and the installation of renewable energy sources to a specific community. I will draw from the current architectural trends and the latest technologies for renewable energy sources.
IT Innovations in the energy sector

This thesis focuses on innovation of ICT in the energetics sector, particularly in the heating sector. This topic is discussed in terms of both theory and practice. The main goal of this thesis is to show by the example of specific ICT innovations how to properly prepare them. The theoretical part deals with the comparison academic approaches and the approach of the leading Czech supplier of software solutions. It compares the principle of multidimensionality of MMDIS method and methods of Unicorn ES Powered Company. It also discusses in terms of frequency of academic thesis neglected electricity sector, where it focuses on explaining the specifics of this sector using the experience of the author with projects in the Czech and European energetics. It contains a classification of innovation in the industry, market research of ICT products for energetics and SWOT analysis of heat generation sector. The practical part of the thesis focuses on ICT innovation at C -Energy Bohemia. It contains tender documents for this innovation, and based on that is elaborated a methodological approach for evaluation of the benefits of this innovation for the company. Subsequently there is elaborated a proposal for this innovation covering all dimensions of ICT by MMDIS. The main contribution of this work is thus primarily a comparison of academic approaches with the approaches used in practice , the analysis of the current situation of ICT in less well-known electricity industry and the practical application of academic gained from the study of the real demand for ICT innovation.
Relationship between Russia and EU in field of energetics

This bachelor thesis deals with relationship between Russia and European Union in field of energetics. Its main purpose is to determine whether this relationship is essential for both sides and whether they have possible alternatives. First chapter tells about history of developement of this relationship and creation of energy policy in EU and Russia. Second chapter describes current situation and identifies its main drivers in field of cooperation and problematic issues. Last chapter deals with new trends, discusses the problem of european energy dependence on Russia and argues about possible changes due to current situation in Ukraine.
Influence of EU provisions on electricity markets in member states

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the impact of EU energy policy provisions on electricity markets in the member states of the European Union. The thesis is divided into three chapters that are then divided into subheadings. In the first chapter there are defined the essentials of the electricity markets, it summarises the electricity prices development and is presented a comparison with other regions. The second chapter contains the most important EU provisions with an impact on the electricity markets and at the end of this chapter the impacts are analysed and evaluated. The third chapter is aimed to a case study of the Central Europe that inspects, with chosen statistical methods, particular impacts on an electricity market in each country of the region as well as impacts on the single market in the region.
Energetics in the EU: economic analysis of energy from nuclear and renewable sources after 2011

In the context of the fight against global warming, the European Union decided to lead by example and show the rest of the World that is possible to conduct sustainable environmental policy in practice. For this purpose mass support for renewable energy and effort to reduce the importance of nuclear energy were introduced. Germany went with this policy the furthest. Their geographical location and size of the market affects the whole Central European region and thus the Czech Republic. This paper primarily attempts analyze ways to support renewable energy sources and nuclear power in the EU with a closer focus on the Czech Republic and their impact on the energy market. This paper analyzes the impact of RES support and development in near future. The conclusion proposed by the paper is that the current policy of the EU in the energy sector rather causes destabilization of the entire energy network and the associated risks.
Analysis of corporate social responsibility in energy industry

Master's Thesis deals with issue of corporate social responsibility in the energy industry. The work is divided into four chapters. In the first one author describes basic concepts related to this issue, focusing on the current understanding of corporate social responsibility from a global and European perspective and of course from the perspective of the Czech Republic. Criticism, barries and the future of CSR are not missing as well. The second and the third chapter is dedicated to a detailed analysis of CSR in an example of global and regional company from the energy industry. Focus is on economic, social and environmental pillars of corporate social responsibility, together with the strategic objectives and innovation. Last fourth chapter compares the global and the regional energy company based on the tripple bottom line of the CSR and finally, strategy of the global and regional representative is confronted with a reality.
Evaluation of effectiveness of pilot project E.ON Energieonline communication channels

The purpose of this study was to increase the understanding of the effectiveness of different forms of direct marketing ? namely direct mail, direct email and social networks advertising. According to the analysis results the direct mail was offered for the real launch of the product. This decision was confirmed by multi-criteria decision method, which also includes different weight of each criterion.
Political-economical envrionment of the Russian Federation and its impact on business relations with commercial entities in the Czech Republic

Russia is due to its size, population, rich raw material base and growth potential one of the leading global economies. In this paper I analyze the political and economical environment of the Russian Federation, which predetermines a potential of each sector and the whole economy to affect the global economy. At the same time this paper deals with foreign trade relations between Russia and the Europian Union and the Czech Republic, its development and prediction to the future. The second part is focused on bilateral trade between the Russia Federation. Experiences of the Czech company and the Chamber of Trade and Industry for CIS Countries from trading in Russia provide a basis for analysis of positive and negative aspects of this cooperation and give the options for its improvement.
Current issues of Germany's energy sector

The Bachelor's thesis deals with the current situation of the German energy sector, especially after the events of spring 2011 in Japan. Germany has focused on the use of renewable energy and alternative energy sources represent a significant share in the energy mix. The aim is to assess the current energy situation in Germany when the country gradually abandons the use of energy from nuclear power plants. I focus on German energy policy objectives, the cause of diversion of nuclear energy and the possible economic and technical impact of this decision. A significant part tells about Germany's energy sources and resources, both conventional and alternative sources. The first part deals with the energy policy of Germany and the various sources of energy. The second chapter addresses in detail the cause of diversion of nuclear energy in Germany and possible technical and economic impacts of this decision. The third part is devoted to renewable energy sources that are already widely used in Germany. Last but not least I would like to outline the prospect of future development of energetics in Germany.
