Illuminating chemical experiments for secondary schools

The thesis informs the reader about the most outstanding alternative programmes and their founders. Step by step it follows more modern and at the moment most utilised alternative methods and directions. The practical part is aimed at concrete alternative schools in this country. By describing them, it tries to bring forward the image of operating alternative programmes in the Czech Republic. It deals with their merits and their liabilities, which might rise in connection with the alternative education.
Management of learning statistical subjects for combined form

Currently, there is an urgent need to conduct analysis of teaching statistical courses at the Faculty of Management University of Economics in Prague in order to analyze the current teaching methods, which are at the time of this thesis in the current academic year 2009-2010. Another aim is to propose a new method of teaching that reflect emerging trends in education, which would help students to understand and absorb the learning.
Making a methodology for creating multimedia teaching applications

The aim of this thesis is to pass on the specific view on problems of multimedia and e-learning in teaching including making a methodology for creating multimedia teaching application. The methodology will make the work of creating multimedia teaching application easier for the creators (especially teachers). As a component of this thesis is a detailed description of functionality of software Camtasia Studio. This software offers sufficient quantity of functions for creating the multimedia data. This software was used in creating a few sample multimedia applications. This created multimedia applications were tested by students and succeeded. The thesis is concentrated on all teachers and offers them a chance for better teaching. It is not limited for teachers, it also can be used by other people. There are also mentioned problems of compression, codecs and formats, which are related to the subject of this thesis. There is also mentioned a topic concerned with communication, because it is considered as a part of teaching.
Python programming language and the effectiveness of its inclusion in the teaching

The goal of the first part of this work is to summarize the basics of the Python programming language. Show how to create programs in Python, what are the modules, the basic data types, syntax and the possibility of approach to language. The second part will address the description of the initial programming courses, their objectives and what benefits it brings to teaching Python. Finally, then look at the (in)dependence on the Python platform for running and how to get from Python to another frequently used programming languages.
Use of Web 2.0 technologies in education

The thesis Use of Web 2.0 technologies in education introduces the concept of Web 2.0 and its basic characteristics. The first chapter is based on the explanation of major tools and technologies labelled as Web 2.0. The second chapter deals with specific services which have already found its place in education process. The same chapter evaluates the ways of dealing with their appropriate use, particularly in higher education. This chapter contains also the examples of successful use in education. The thesis is mainly concerned about using Web 2.0 tools in the environment of Czech schools. As Web 2.0 services are not new, I asked students and teachers at the University of Economics in Prague and asked what experience they have with such instruments in their personal life, so in context of education. The third chapter is entirely devoted to survey the use of Web 2.0 tools in the practice of The University of Economics in Prague. Content of the final chapter is a reflection of what direction the web will evolve in the coming years. It also evaluates social issues associated with the turbulent development of the Internet and Web 2.0.
Analysis of bachelor studies with specialization on informatics at universities in the Czech Republic.

The subject of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of bachelor studies with specialization on informatics at universities in the Czech Republic. Evaluation of knowledge or general specialization of graduates is possible due to introduced methodology. Main part of thesis is evaluation and comparison of study quality in particular areas. In the end of thesis the analysis and evaluation of acquired findings have been presented.
Methodical support to creation of educational media

This thesis deals with possibilites and usage of "new media" in the educational process. The aim of this thesis is to describe the possibilities and refer to basic recommendations for the effective creation and usage. The thesis contains a description of digital educational presentations, application of audio, video and didactical computer applications and games. Every part presents an example of suitable software and its application. The thesis describes also present trends of used technologies and future expectations. At the end of the thesis, there is an analysis of present situation and suggested solution for the small primary school.
Technical resources for educational support of students with handicap

This paper deals with evaluation of quality of technical resources to support education of students with handicap at computers. This work aims to map and asses' quality and market appeal of common technical resources for home usage with opinion on less common technical resources for average user and at same time with respect for students with handicap. This publication is divided into four logical parts. First part is devoted to theoretical approach into field of handicaps. From nature of illnesses and handicaps result essential facts, that affects using computers by users with handicap. At the end of this section are noted appropriate ways of using computers. Second part attends to financial seriousness when buying technical resources in this field of purpose. Third section briefly describe method of evaluating products based on first part and define criterion which reflects facts of relevant handicap and at same time also demands of common human user. Fourth part concludes mapping and delivers assessment of chosen products. Publication is completed by trends and facts that affect present market with technical resources.
