Deposition of magnetic nanostructures using EBID and optimalization of their chemical composition and morphology
Vyroubal, Ondřej ; Kolíbalová, Eva (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with deposition of cobalt nanostructures using Electron Beam Induced Depositon (EBID). The thesis firstly describes theoretical background regarding EBID. In the following experimental part, the deposition process is optimized via analysis of exposition parameters and their influence on the final shape of nanostructures. These are analyzed via Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). Optimized exposure parameters are then applied to the deposition of functional 3-dimensional nanostrucutres. In particular, the deposition of cobalt spheres. The elemental composition is analyzed by the means of element composition using Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) and the nanostructures of desired morphologies are studied with Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) and Magneto-Optical Kerr Microscope).

The aim of the project is formation of nanoelectrodes on the silicon wafer surface by thin-film techniques combined with lithography and nanotechniques developed in LabSensNano. Project is engaged in lithography and in preparation of silicon wafers. Furthermore is proposed a brief proposal of electrodes, proposal of realization and current state of the experiment.
Thin Film Electrodes for Electrochromic Devices
Macalík, Michal ; Kadlec, Jaromír (referee) ; Nováková,, Sabina (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The work deals with the deposition of layers for electrochromic device with different methods. Transparent electrically conductive layer of SnO2 was deposited by pyrolytic decomposition of peroxostannate solution. Hydrogen peroxide in starting solution contributes to the oxidation process of growth layers and to increase the electrical conductivity. Active electrochromic layer of WO3 was electrolytic deposited from the peroxotungstic acid solution. Optimal deposition time and the optimal annealing temperature of deposited layers were found. Passive electrochromic layer of V2O5 was deposited using dip-coating method from peroxovanadate solution. A contribution of solution diluted with distilled water was investigated. Found results were used to construct complete electrochromic device with polymer gel electrolyte.
Deposition of environmental dust particles
Bělka, Miloslav ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
This work is aimed at deposition of fibers, which are able to penetrate deeper in the human respiratory airways and cause health hazards. Opening chapters are dedicated to classification of aerosols, human lung anatomy basics and methods for measurement of micrometer-sized aerosols. An experiment was carried out to investigate the deposition of fibers. Fibers were delivered into the silicon cast of the human airways and data of deposition fraction and efficiency were acquired. A new method was established to acquire the data. This method works on a principle of image analysis. Results of the new method were compared with a standard method, which follows a methodology NIOSH 7400.

Chochola, Ondřej ; Havlíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The delivered thesis deals with the theory of very thin layers deposition by means of pulse magnetron sputtering and the proposal, realization and testing of the power supply source for the pulse magnetron sputtering.
Optimization of thin films of metal oxide materials
Vítek, Jiří ; Šimonová, Lucie (referee) ; Šubarda, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the description of the method of reactive sputtering of thin films. Currently, there are many ways how to create thin films and there are many applications of thin films in various industrial sectors. In this paper at the first are listed the issue of thin films, followed by an overview of the deposition techniques and of the chemical analysis of deposited thin films. It also describes the four-point measurement method of sheet resistance, mechanical test of adhesion and optical properties. At the end of the theoretical part are described the material composition of the deposited films. The goal of the practical part is to optimize the deposition process of the mixed layer of indium tin oxide (In2O3: SnO2) and contribute to the overall understanding of the influence of annealing on the layer. There were created six series of samples with that applied layers. First, the work focused on examining of the influence of annealing on the throughput in the whole measuring range, and then comparing the series due to the transmittance in the visible light spectrum. Furthermore were compared the value of sheet resistance of unannealed and subsequently annealed samples.
MEMS pressure sensor utilizing nanocomposites
Šeda, Miroslav ; Musil, Vladislav (referee) ; Ficek, Richard (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to introduce with the basic technologies of manufacturing MEMS (Micro-electro-mechanical-systems). Further there is mentioned properties and manufacturing of CNT (Carbon nanotubes), used in manufacturing of capacitance pressure sensor.
Studies of molecular beams of organic materials
Maniš, Jaroslav ; Průša, Stanislav (referee) ; Mach, Jindřich (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with assembling of low-temperature efussion cell which is suitable for deposition of organic materials. The calibration of operating temperature of effusion cell is performed. Depositions of organic semiconductor material are realized. Morphology of surface of thin film is studied in AFM and SEM microscope. In the paper background research on the utilization of organic materials in semiconductor industry is presented.
Deposition of Cobalt nanodots using EBID and optimalization of their chemical composition and morphology
Vyroubal, Ondřej ; Průša, Stanislav (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with deposition of metal nanostructures by EBID. Several deposition parameters are described and it is shown how they infuence the process of deposition. The atomic composition of cobalt structures was veried by EDX. Additionally, the optimized geometries of nanostructures for future practical applications are shown as well.
Tools Made from Cemented Carbide
Opršál, Ladislav ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The thesis focuses on cutting tools made of both coated and uncoated cemented carbides. The first part of the thesis deals with the division of materials used for the production of the tools. The second part of the thesis introduces uncoated cemented carbides, special attention being paid to the labelling, production and properties of such compounds. The third part of the thesis presents coating deposition techniques and examines the properties of coating layers. Coating layers are produced using two different methods – CVD and PVD. The last part of the thesis compares the properties of the cutting tools (e.g. their cutting values) produced by the companies Pramet Tools, Sandvik – Coromant and Seco Tools.
