French cultural standards

Research of intercultural communication and management phenomena has been rising since 1950s. At that time the researchers acknowledged the importance of the role of culture in international relations. Purpose of this diploma thesis is to unhide culturally influenced perception and behavior of French in application to business. Basic characteristics of French culture were identified based on study of researches of recognized researchers in this field i.e. Geert Hofstede and Fons Trompenaars. Further characteristics of the culture were examined in the sample of 12 interviewees using quantitative research methods. They were willing to dedicate their time and share personal working experience in relation with French whether in France or in direct working relation in Czechia. Barriers of communication between both cultures were confirmed by the research as existing and therefor the study of cultural differences was justified. The results of the research are presented in form of recommendations for Czechs and sum up the established phenomena.

The aim of this thesis is to find and describe the relationship between ethics and economics in terms of their separation and return in the history of economic thought. For a comprehensive entry at first basic terms and the most important milestones of economic thought throughout history are explained. The diploma work shows, within the historical framework, the most important trends of thinking of particular economic schools and through proven propositions it either affirms or denies them.

This Bachelor Thesis focuses mainly on the business ethics and social responsibility. It is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part examines the relationship of business ethics and social responsibility and the ways of their implementation in enterprises in the Czech Republic. The practical part consists of research focuses on the social and ethical environment in particular selected company. It is divided into three sections: the relationship between employees at one level, the relationship between employees and management, employee's satisfaction with appreciation for their performance.

CSR in a selected company

The objective of this dissertation is appraisal of the current status of Accenture's CSR initiatives. The theoretical part provides information that is essential for understanding CSR concept; it defines business ethics, a stakeholder theory and the triple bottom line of CSR. Furthermore, it provides a comprehensive view of the history and evolution of CSR and presents possibilities of measuring of CSR. Practical part is focused on Accenture's local and global CSR activities which are evaluated by using theoretical base from the first part of the dissertation. Part of the dissertation's appraisal includes a survey among Accenture's employees. Its results offer possible improvements to the Accenture's CSR strategy.

The theme of this bachelor thesis is Ethics in Business and it discusses the importance of compliance with the ethics principles. The aim of this thesis is to observe the use of ethics principles of one of the biggest insurance companies in the Czech Republic - Česká Pojišťovna a.s.The main source was a questionnaire distributed to the employees of the insurance company. I was looking to find out what is the awareness of the ethical code, if employees abide to it, if they encountered any transgressions and what is the penalty for doing so.

Ethical potential in the enterprise

This bachelor thesis follows the importance of ethics in today's business environment. It examines what is the understanding of ethical principles and then their implementation in business. At the same time it critically assesses the impact of ethical perspectives on the example of a specific company. The aim of the study is to evaluate ethical potentials in the company from the perspective of the student's University of Economics. The bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part presents a view of ethics in today's economic environment. The second part is based on an analysis of the far-reaching ethical misconduct of Siemens company, which is completed of the aimed interview with the director of the department of ethical business of the company, Ing. Veronica Sedlářová and then putting concrete examples of rectifications from the environment of the international company. Based on the collected and published facts and information are designed ways how to integrate ethics into the business environmentu.

This thesis covers the topic of the ethical aspects of business. The paper defines what an ethics and a business ethics are and it describes selected tools of business ethics. The practical part focuses on building company called Skanska and on its view of business ethics. This part consists of an interview with managing director of Skanska SK a.s. and of a questionnaire survey. The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the level of the business ethics in this building company. The main research question is: "How important part do the ethical aspects represent in the company Skanska?"

This bachelor thesis deals with the code of ethics in work of manager and advisor in the financial and advertising field. The aim of this thesis is to show the perspective of current society on the work of financial and advertising advisors with focus on ethical aspect. Basic terms like ethics, ethical codex are explained in theoretical part. Further I explain the role of manager in our society, their characteristics and competences, general principles and styles of their work. A research in the form of questionnaire was conducted in the practical part of the thesis. The questionnaire was focused on ethical aspect of this profession.

Codes of ethics in the sector of financial institutions

This thesis deals with the codes of ethics and their role in the financial organizations.The first part outlines the theoretical significance and function code of ethics, its characteristics, development, advantages and disadvantages. The second part continues with a more detailed examination of codes of ethics in the business and financial sectors, including the dismantling of the phenomenon of corporate social responsibility. The importance of the implementation of codes of ethics is illustrated on the example of the financial crisis in the U.S.. The aim is to assess the comprehension of current codes, and practical examples show the differences between ethical codes in specific organizations of the financial sector in the Czech Republic, and to draw conclusions for the creation of an "ideal" code of ethics, if one exists.
