Financing of Selected Municipality

This thesis is focused on the financing of a selected municipality in the context of shared tax revenues, subsidies and administrative fees. Municipalities, such as public corporations, can have their own assets and manage their own budgets. The present is full of high demands on municipalities in terms of procedures in the decision-making process, compliance with laws and internal regulations, which are also described in the work. The thesis then deals with financing in a specific municipality. The aim of the work was to analyze the possibilities of financing the municipality, including the impact of the tax package on both the revenue and expenditure side of the budget.
New Trends in Management of Selected Organizations

The aim of the bachelor thesis is an analysis and evaluation of the new trends in management which are currently used in the public and private sectors. The first part of the thesis takes a theoretical approach to explore the definition and evolution of specific methods applied in management in relation to the two sectors. The found trends and methods are further examined in the analytical part which concentrates on the comparison of two selected organizations. The employees of both organizations are subjected to a questionnaire to uncover whether their management effectively uses the new trends discovered in the theoretical part. An interview with the executives is also used as a source of additional information. This process is concluded with suggestions for possible improvements.

In the introduction, It addresses the development of finanancing education in the Czech Republic. Education as a public good and its importance for the development of human resources and thus the state economy. The secondary schools are financed from public resources of the state and local governments. The thesis deals with the development in the Pilsen region, the list of sources and the amount of finance. Part of the thesis is assessment of financing and management of the Secondary Agricultural and Food School in Klatovy during the past 5 years. How the amount of resources changed in the individual years after the reform of the financing of regional education in the Czech Republic.

Strategic planning is an essential aspect of every company's success. For this reason, it is also used in the public sector as the main management tool A Village Development Plan is a document that outlines development procedures, prepared by a village, which can be used to mobilize potentials, capacities and allocate resources to move a village from a basic situation to a desired one in an orderly and accepted manner within a given timeframe.. The primary objective of a strategic plan for the development of any territorial unit should be primarily to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. The theoretical part describes the terms such as public sector, municipaly development, strategic planning and strategic development plan. The practical part deals with a Strategic plan of village Srubec. This part includes its critical evaluation and proposal of its partial update, which proceed from analysis of development assumptions, from statistical data and questionnaire survey, which was carried out for the purpose of this update. The target of thesis is to analyze the development plan of the village Srubec and on the basis of the research to determine other priorities of the village development. .

Public Private Partnership Abstract A Public Private Partnership represents an alternative financing option for public infrastructure or service projects involving a private partner. The main goal of a such project is to receive benefits from the public and private sector and to transfer risks to a partner that is equipped with skills in order to manage the individual risk. Provided that certain conditions are fulfilled, this method is an effective option of financing infrastructure projects. However, this alternative way of financing has not been adopted at national level yet. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate whether the current concept of PPP projects in the Czech Republic is effective, whether it is appropriate and to analyse the main PPP financing methods and procedures. The first part of the thesis explains the concept of PPP and related terms, emphasizes on the basic conceptual features of PPP projects and briefly summarizes the most commonly used models of Public Private Partnerships. At the end of the first part, the author provides a demonstrative list of the most significant differences between PPP projects and conventional public procurement. Cloud Computing in Public Sector - Benefits and Risks

(anglicky) This thesis deals with benefits and risks of using cloud computing in public sector institutions. The thesis focuses mainly on the usage of public cloud deployment model. The thesis is divided into 4 main chapters. The first chapter presents definition and basic characteristics of cloud computing. The second part consists of PESTL analysis that describes the impact of macro-environmental factors (namely political, economical, social, technological and legal factors) on the use of cloud computing in public sector institutions. The third part presents SWOT analysis of cloud computing and its use in public sector. The fourth chapter presents a case study of the implementation of cloud computing services at The Faculty of Arts of the Charles University. The results of the conducted analysis tend to positive effects of cloud computing use in public sector institutions, presuming a proper risk analysis is done before implementation begins. Analysis of the Nonprofit Sector and its Potential for Regional Development

Nonprofit sector is regarded to be ever more significant part of a democratic society. Within the European context it is seen as a partner of public and commercial sectors also in relation to the development of specific regions. On the level of local action groups, which apply the LEADER methodology, it is directly defined as an inseparable partner of regional cooperation and development. The aim of the thesis is a detailed survey of nonprofit sector in the area of Local action group NAD ORLICÍ. Additionally, it focuses on analyzing the potential of nonprofit sector for the following development of the region. Several researches were conducted in order to collect as much data as possible. Analyses of publicly accessible databases and information sources as well as of records acquired from the respective specialized institutions were performed. Simultaneously, independent questionnaire surveys were carried out, focusing on representatives of local authorities and representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations. Funding of sport from public budgets in Denmark in comparison with Czech Republic Goal: Main goal of this thesis is to make a complex view of funding of sport from public budgets in Denmark. Other goal is to set out the main differences between Czech and Danish model. Methods: In this thesis was used the analysis of documents to find out how is the sport funded in Denmark. Also was used the descriptive analysis to describe system of financial flows from public budgets to concrete programs, sport clubs and organizations. TITLE: Analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts on the territory of the capital city of Prague. AUTHOR: Eva Štrobachová ABSTRACT: In my final paper I focused on the analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts between 2008 and 2010. The theoretical part introduces and describes the status of education within the public sector, defines the concept of an organization receiving contributions from the State budget and describes the way of financing the organization by its founder. It also mentions the relevant laws. Attention is paid to the question of establishing criteria of rationality of costs for submitting proposals of operating budget by school directors to the founder. The aim of this bachelor's paper is to compare the structure of operating costs in primary schools, monitoring of the indicators, the procedure and system of distributing contributions from the founder of the schools as well as to suggest possible solutions leading to a higher effectiveness of drawing up operating budgets of primary schools. Presented work deals with the issue of fighting against corruption. In a theoretical level the work informs about the causes of corruption and the tools that are currently used for its persecuting. In the practical part I try to find out the way of improvement of corruption range seen throgh the eyes of actors that operate in Prague city. The aim of the work is to identify possibilities of efficiency improvement of nonprofit organizations and the public sector in the field of fighting against the corruption. The analytical part of the work, therefore, maps the situation in relations between selected non-profit organizations and relations between them and the public administration, which is in this work represented by the Prague City Hall - an institution which represents by the local government activities.
