The main part of my work is dedicated to empirical research in the organization "Domov pro seniory Slunečnice" (Retirement Home Sunflower) where above mentioned topics are analy zed.

Koncar-Gamulin, Lovro
Digital platforms have already expanded their reach over a broad range of urban services and cemented themselves at the core of urban life by capitalising on their vast troves of data, all of which has allowed them to enter partnerships with city administrations and thereby claim ownership of more and more urban space. Considering the increasing entwine-ment of the digital realm with physical space, facilitated by platform urbanism, the Internet of Things and advance-ments in immersive technologies, this paper recognises and discusses the importance of key democratic features requi-red to tackle urban challenges in a context-specific way, and to protect urban space from platform monopolies – open data utilisation and user participation. The purpose of this paper is to provide new views on the detrimental nature of digital platforms’ urban interventions, as well as to address these issues in the context of the new, spatial or augmented era of the internet – Web 3.0.

Lindnerová, Adéla ; Pelc, Vladimír (advisor) ; Hořák, Jaromír (referee)
Participation Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is especially to identify the advantages and disadvantages of individual approaches to regulation of participation, to set out the main attributes of participation in the Czech criminal law, including its main deficiencies, and to present possible inspiring solutions for their elimination by presenting a different model of regulation abroad. Participation as one of the forms of criminal collaboration is approached slightly differently by each legislation. However, the legislations usually agree that the participant's actions must be punished in a certain way. Although the participant does not partake in the fulfillment of the constituent elements of the crime by its own actions, its influence on the crime itself may be significant. The reason for choosing this topic is mainly the still unresolved situation regarding the institute of participation in the Czech Criminal Code and a large amount of criticism of the current regulation. Although the Criminal Code was newly adopted in 2009 and the possibility of correcting the deficiencies of the participation was obvious, professional discussions did not take place, and in the end a regulation that to a certain extent copied the previous criticized one, was adopted. In addition to the introduction and...

Abdelhafez, Dina ; Frič, Pavol (advisor) ; El Baradei, Laila (referee) ; Pospíšilová, Tereza (referee)
Governance is derived from the French word "gouverner", so Good Governance refers to the way to control, steer, rule, and direct the organizations by the individuals who are in charge of the management affairs. The study uses the theory of Alexis de Tocqueville (1956), which emphasizes the importance of the presence of democracy to manage the internal tasks of the organizations, so these NGOs can play a role in fostering democracy in civil society. The study intends to find out the imperatives of good NGOs' governance through linking the daily operational tasks and the applications of democratic principles inside NGOs by using the qualitative research method to collect information and compare the implementation of the imperatives of good NGOs' governance in organizations in Berlin, Cairo, and Prague. Thus, the study presents two normative frameworks; the first one is to conceptualize and operationalize the imperatives of good NGOs' governance through integrating democratic theory with the representation and participation schools, and the second one is to examine the influence of the internal and external factors on the implementation of these imperatives in NGOs. The thesis categorizes the "Good NGOs' Governance Imperatives" into managerial imperatives and democratic imperatives. The managerial...
