Analysis of supplementary pension insurance between the years 1994 and 2015

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of supplementary pension insurance market. Primary goal of the thesis is to offer a complex analysis of the development of supplementary pension insurance between the years 1994 and 2015. Thesis offers a preview and summary of theoretical approaches towards pension security along with a link to progression of those approaches in Czech republic. Supplementary pension insurance is analyzed from a standpoint of conditions of the product, its gradual development, macroeconomic context and general overview of its positives and negatives. Thesis thereafter concentrates on comparative analysis of companies operating on the market, description of current changes and outlines possible future development and possible future challenges for additional pension savings.
Social security an old age

The subject of the thesis is an evaluation of how the economically active population of the Czech Republic is preparing for a time when they will receive a pension. The theoretical part is devoted to social policy, its basic characteristics and typology of social systems in Europe. This part is followed lyrics dealing with the development of the pension system in the Czech Republic with a description of the current three-pillar system. More attention is paid canceled the second pillar and experience with him in Poland and the Slovak Republic. The thesis focuses on the third pillar, which supports more merit principle. The research part of the thesis builds on the theoretical basis and through a questionnaire survey investigates how people rely on funding from the state and how much saving themselves for the purpose of security in old age. The survey was conducted among respondents in the age group from 20 to 59 years throughout the Czech Republic. Respondents were divided into four age categories over 10 years, and each category is represented by one quarter of respondents.

Diploma thesis is deals with the issue of pension reform in the Czech Republic. Pension system in the Czech Republic in the past few years undergone a series of major changes. The main objective of all reforms steps is the stabilization and long-term sustainability of the entire system related to the changing demographic structure of the population. As the main denominators of reform made adjustments can be mentioned: determining the retirement age, the length of compulsory insurance policy for the redistribution of money in the system and citizens' motivation for saving their own resources. The work focuses on the analysis undertaken reforms and current situation in the field of pensions. It also deals with specific evaluation opportunities own means of providing for old age. Based on the findings it made recommendations for Czech citizens as financially ensure old age.

Czech Republic faces up to and will even face up to an unfavourable demographic progress from now on. A current situation would become completely intolerable without any transformations. Author reviews every single pillar including a closed down second pillar. In the analytical part there is a suggestion to improve a pension scheme right in several parts. Those most outstanding parts are the motives for a political and economic situation improvement because any reforms success exactly depends on economy performance, a political situation, a demographic risk elimination including elements of birth support and migration and general pension restructure. Several appropriate pension restructure conceptions are suggested. For instance: taking a corporate pension under Swedish pattern which would exclude a question of pre-pension as well. Additionally, a private pension scheme should offer the citizens of the Czech Republic more choices so that everyone could choose the provision for retirement age possibility that is the most appropriate and convenient for them.

The content of this thesis is to evaluate the Czech pension system and pension reform, valid from 1.1.2013. First, the thesis describes the origin and development of the pension system in the Czech Republic, a general description of the pension system and comparing systems of pension schemes operating in selected countries. The practical part of the thesis analyzes the fiscal sustainability of the PAYG system and the project both financially secure current and future generations of retirees. Thesis includes recommendations for setting the retirement age depending on the evolution of the average life expectancy. The work includes the suggestion of solution for Czech citizens who do not want to be in the future depend only on the pension benefits of the state pay system, but on the basis of personal responsibility are aware of the need for savings or additional collateral. An integral part of the work is the analysis III. pillar of the pension system focusing on the evaluation of the benefits of this savings instrument. In the end, there is an overall assessment, incl. own suggestions and solutions.

The subject of this diploma thesis is to analyze the retirement reforms in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia and to find some recommendations for retirement system in the Czech Republic. There are different kinds of retirement systems described in the first part of this thesis. The second part solves economical, political and demographic aspects which have direct influence onto the retirement system. The third and the fourth chapter are devoted to analysis of current retirement systems in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. All recommendations for retirement reforms in the Czech Republic, which come from the evolution of these reforms, are summarized in the last part of this thesis.
Financial provision of people into retirement age in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is characteristics of current pension system in the Czech Republic in a response to the great pension reform of 2013, description of the pension system before 1989 and the knowledge of people about the problematics of pensions, their attitude and methods of making their own financial reserves into retirement age. There is an explanation of functioning programs that are suitable for making financial reserves covered in III. pillar of pension system. Practical part of the thesis includes survey which aimed to evaluate respondent's awareness of retirement problematics and their position of making financial reserves into retirement age in a response of financial literacy. According to the survey 47% of respondents are making own financial reserves. Then there are compared other saving products described in theoretical part of this thesis. Product profitability of different companies is compared through criteria such as charges, evaluation and others. Air Bank's account is more profitable in saving accounts category than ING Konto. In category of Supplement's pension insurance the more profitable is product that offers Penzijní společnost České pojišťovny compared to KB pension company. In Investment life insurances there is more advantageous to have one from Kooperativa company than from Generali insurance company.
Suggestion of Solution of Old Age Pension Scheme in the Czech Republic

Bachelors´s thesis is aimed at problems of old age pension scheme in the Czech republic. Theoretical part of thesis defines basic data relating to pension system as whole and information necessary to comparision pensions in other states. Analytic part deals with pension systems in chosen states including their analysis which is important to individual suggestions of suitable solution of pension. At the end the thesis is completed by particular suggestions which are recommendations of old age pension scheme not only for citizens but also for our government.
