Krejčí, Petr ; Silverio, Robert (advisor) ; Šimlová, Štěpánka (referee) ; Portel, Robert (referee)
This paper provides an overview of art production where the presence
of a fallacy plays a key role. Here, the term fallacy represents a wide range of illusory
constructions regardless of the medium used, with the exception of digitally
manipulated work. The main attention is focused on the those kinds of manifestations
present in the medium of photography. Classifying each method according to
the nature of the illusion, allows me to identify the characteristic features of each
particular category, and what is it's impact on the viewer. Manipulation of our
perception is achieved by various technical means. Readers of this paper will be
offered an explanation of what fallacies are, how they occur, and what part they might
play in the wider context of the artistic expression.
