Duchovskaja, Věra ; Řehořová, Irena (advisor) ; Krtilová, Kateřina (referee)
In this work I would like to explore classical and technical image as Flusser understands them. The term technical image was invented by Flusser in order to describe the level of the development of the image comparing to the writing. I will focus my attention mainly on the changes in our way of life, mind and perception that were caused by the arrival of the technical image. I want to analyze the changes in the way of our thinking and perception made by the technical image, as well as our approach to the world. I suppose, that this new kind of image changed and considerably influenced the way of life of the western society, because it became the main information bearer. In fact we got very addicted to the technical images that surround us at every step and cause the other way of perception, exceeding human dispositions mainly because of the speed of the information transmission. First of all I will dedicate my attention to the general development of the information bearers and to their influence on the society, in order to create the overall context. Then I will describe more properly the classical image - it's history, perception and means. In the main part of my work I would focus my attention on the technical image. At first, I would describe the general characteristics of all technical images on the...

Naščák, Andrej ; Schneider, Ondřej (advisor) ; Bryndová, Lucie (referee)
The thesis deals with the Slovak reform of health care system during the years 2003 and 2006. Specifically, it examines the relationship and proportion of both the private and public sector in all aspects of health care system, such as health care police, financing, provision of health care and patient status. Models of world health care systems are introduced first. The thesis then describes and analyses the situation in Slovakia before the year 2003 and also pays attention to the analysis of the demographical development as an important cause of unsustainability of the former system. The thesis also presents facts and consequences of the reform resulting from data and information obtained during the years 2004 and 2005. As an outcome, the thesis concerns how to secure rational distribution of expenses over the time emphasizing that the prevention is the cheapest way of a treatment, this flows from analyses of demographic impact on health care expenditures per capita - time to death methodology is used. It reminds us that population health is for a society not only an expense but also an investment. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Segmentace zákazníků a její využití (vybrané problémy)
Turner, Oldřich ; Filipová, Alena (advisor) ; Zeman, Jiří (referee)
In the world of today, when the differences between people are becoming more and more significant and individualism is stressed more often than ever, people have wider choices. In this situation the companies are facing major challenges in serving these more and more demanding customers. To be able even to get the attention of some people, companies need to provide or offer some value. And the value can be delivered only when a company knows what is in the heads of their (potential) customers, i.e. what are their needs, desires, wishes, etc. And that\\\'s when segmentation comes into play. Efficient segmentation is a key success factor of drawing customer attention and tailoring the offer to this particular customer to satisfy his/her needs. Efficient (and if possible innovative) segmentation is also often a source of competitive advantage, because it is usually based on data that are difficult to obtain for competitors. The main goal of the paper is twofold: to enlighten what segmentation means and how it is connected to the overall marketing and business strategy and to show real world examples. The paper is divided into two main parts, the first one focusing on theoretical aspects of segmentation and on what lies beneath it. The second part is then focusing on real world situations and examples how various firms from various industries used innovative and modern approaches to segmentation to increase their sales, profit and overall value.

Hermes - The God Between the Human and Divine Worlds and His Metamorfoses in Time
Špillingová, Eva ; Janoušek, Jan (advisor) ; Hruška, Blahoslav (referee)
The main theme of this thesis is the figure of the Greek god Hermes and the changes in its understanding, spanning from the archaic images to the character of Mercury in the Hermetic tradition and alchemy. Attention is paid to Hermes' transformation into an Olympian god which he underwent in the works of Homer. At the same time his godly child characteristics are being discussed as well as his relations to some. other gods of Olympic pantheon. Another important change in the understanding of Hermes' figure can be observed during the period of the Hellenistic religious syncretism, the time in which the Greek culture and its gods were exposed to the oriental and Egyptian cults. The concluding part of the thesis discusses the transformation of Hermes into the character of Mercury of the alchemists, which enabled him to be the only one of the Greek gods to survive until the 17th century.

Problem of the Cult of personality at XXth Congress of the Soviet Communist Party in February 1956: the reasons of establishment of this question and its consequences
Zákoucká, Jitka ; Reiman, Michal (advisor) ; Litera, Bohuslav (referee)
The Thesis deals with the problem of Stalin's cult of personality. This question was presented to the Closed Session of the Twentieth Congress of Soviet Communist Party on 25th February 1956. This statement known as "The Secret Speech" was delivered by the First Party Secretary N. S. Khrushchev. In his speech he denounced Stalin's crimes mainly during the Great Terror in late 1930s. Khrushchev and other Stalin's successors had tried hard to deny their own responsibility for the bloody purges during Stalin's era. The Thesis concentrates on effects forming content of the Secret Speech paying attention to instant power struggles in Kremlin. Rehabilitation process and investigation of Stalin's crimes is also an important part of The Thesis. In the conclusion I tried to answer the question whether the Secret Speech was a real turning point and if the changes and reforms made by Khrushchev were fundamental, permanent and stable. Another thing is how far the Secret Speech influenced the Soviet Union, its communist legacy and the world in general. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The confiscation of German borderland agriculture property and its following redistribution to new Czechoslovakian inhabitans
Hájková, Kateřina ; Soběhart, Radek (advisor) ; Jeřábková, Zdenka (referee)
This study represents an attempt to assess the situation in Czechoslovakia after the Second World War in consequence of the expulsion of Sudeten Germans from Czech borderland. It summarizes the overall contribution and the effectiveness of individual measures and legal amendments proposed by the government in order to permit the confiscation of German property and its redistribution to new Czech inhabitants. The main aim of this work is to find certain imperfections in the process (probably caused by the speed with which the decrees passed), as well as to draw the attention to the fact that the security, political and national interests became the national priorities in post-war period, at the expense of Czechoslovak economy.

The 20th century muralism in Mexico
Binková, Petra ; Opatrný, Josef (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Pavel (referee)
As I was trying to suggest in this text, the cultural value of mural production is political in the sense that it responds to interests and motives of the social world and intends to transform the space which it occupies. When doing so, such visual works orient itself toward the construction of its own public. The mural process that aspires to create mural art must therefore be multiple and combined. A similar thought has been pointed out by Bruce Campbell his book Mexican Murals in Times of Crisis: [Mural practice must be] making its commitments and negotiating compromises within the balance of social forces; attempting to fix in some manner the social context in which it takes place; hailing a more or less broad sector of the social milieu; and seeking out some meaningful figure with an eye toward symbolic consensus, or "no man's land" capable of negotiating through perspectival conflicts over the space of the work.,,161 Only by attention to the practical components of muralism does it become possible to recognize a contextual variety of mural work. In fact, these are nothing more than distinct modes of formal compromise between the production of the mural image and its public. An alternative delineation of contemporary muralism is thus at the same time a delineation of practical accomplishments...
