Power harvesting sensors
Arnošt, Karel ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with power harvesting sensors as a source of energy. As the power requirements for microelectronics decreases the environmental energy sources become more perspective. In a few last years batteries reach a higher capacity but there is still problem with their replacement. Power harvesting sensors appears as a good solution for powering microelectronics.
Thermo-electric solar generator
Kočvárek, Ondřej ; Jakubová, Ivana (referee) ; Gregor, Jan (advisor)
The introduction of this work is devoted to the description of physical principals and condtruction of modern semiconductor thermoelectric transformers. This work describes thein basic characters and the most commonly used materials for thein production. Further, it mentions the basic principals and physical effects that describe the thermoelectric conversion of energy and the nondestructive method for establishing the basic material characteristics of thermoelectric transformers. The substantiv part of this work is the measuring of the material’s characteristics of the accessible thermoelectric elements through the medium of experimental measuring network. The optimal construction of thermoelectric solar generators used for individual thermoelectric elements are designed based on the taken measurements and the evaluation of material’s characteristics of the observed thermoelectric elements.
Applications of thermoelectric generators
Kopřiva, Lukáš ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
This bachalor thesis is about thermoelectric generators and their utilization. Basic physical principles of thermoelectric conversion and design of thermoelectric devices are described at the beginning. Next part of thesis is related to practical applications of themoelectric generators. Applications that using fossil fuels, waste heat and renewable energy are mentioned. Conclusions and evaluations of their usefulness are made at the end.

This thesis describes the design and construction of a device that would allow power supply the sensors on rotating parts of the machine. We use thermoelectric generators (TEG).
Thermoelectric generator for flue-gas duct of boiler to convert low-temperature waste heat to electricity
Třináctý, Jiří ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
With the dwindling supply of fossil fuels is increasing interest in the most efficient use of primary energy sources. In many of today's devices leaving a considerable part of the fuel energy wasted in the form of waste heat. As a partial solution suitable to demonstrate the application of thermoelectric generator, or devices that convert heat energy directly into electrical energy. The trend in recent years shows the growing interest in this technology and the development of new thermoelectric materials. In addition to the use of waste heat thermoelectric generators can be found in a number of other applications, primarily as a source of electricity in conditions where required minimal maintenance, reliability, reliability and durability. Text is divided into three parts: a theoretical part, the part dealing with the design and implementation of the generator, and a final evaluation. The theoretical part includes a description of the basic thermoelectric phenomena, thermoelectric materials and their properties, a description of the main components of thermoelectric generators and applications in which the thermoelectric conversion uses. Part of the design and implementation deals with the design of thermoelectric generator for chimney flue and comparison of the proposal with real measured values.
Low power thermoelectric generator
Lokaj, Jakub ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the description the physical nature of the conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy and construction of thermoelectric generator. The work is divided into a theoretical part, practical part includes the design and experimental measurement constructed device and final assessment of thesis. The theoretical part describes the thermoelectric phenomena, properties of materials used for the manufacture of thermocouple, construction and electrical parameters of thermoelectric modules and applications of thermoelectric generators including a description of parts of which help to complete overall device. The practical part includes the design and construction of low power thermoelectric generator and experimental measurement connected device with the calculation comparing the predicted performance. In conclusion, besides to assessment thesis also outlines suggestions for further improvements the device.
Thermoelectric Generator
Štetina, Jakub ; Ančík, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes measuring of thermoelectric modules and building of the device, which would serve as an emergency electric energy source for specific purpose on the basis of ther-moelectric effects. We use thermoelectric generators (TEG).
Possibilities of waste heat recovery from internal combustion engines
Křivák, Petr ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
Increasing demands for vehicular traffic to reduce the environmental impact and consumption of fossil fuels, led an effort to increase the efficiency of the combustion process and the car as a whole. One way to achieve this is to use the waste heat of the combustion process, especially waste heat of exhaust gases. This heat can be converted into electrical energy. Consumption of electricity in modern cars is increasing. The presented work deals with the possibilities, how to using waste heat of exhaustgases from internal combustion engine. Focused on application of producing electricity. The paper analyzed the current state of car traffic, and then provides an overview of possible technological solutions using waste heat of exhaust gases. The main part is devoted to thermoelectric generators, their construction and possible design. In conclusion is made the energy balance with use thermoelectric generator.
