Assessment of the timing of tennis strokes using kinematic analysis and surface electromyography
Harrer, Jakub ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Title: Assessment of the timing of tennis strokes using kinematic analysis and surface electromyography Aims: Assess the timing of tennis forhand, service and appropriate training exercises using kinematic analysis. Describe the activation of muscles in time for the chosen execution of the strokes by recording surface electromyography (SEMG). Compare the results of various executions and describe the differences between using the racquets with different parameters and between executions of various training exercises. Method: Case study using kinematic analysis and surface electromyography was made. Results: We have found out that the execution of the strokes using the players own racquet was the most stable. We have found the differences in timing while using various racquets. The heavier the equipment we are using in training exercise is the more different is the timing of this movement. We concluded that the chosen training exercises are inappropriate as the special exercises to improve coordination. Key words: tennis, timing, service, forhand, electromyographic analysis, kinematic analysis
The comparative kineziologic analysis of forward stroke on wheelchair and crawling
Vatěrová, Hana ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Suchanová, Klára (referee)
Title: The comparative kineziologic analysis of forward stroke on wheelchair and crawling. Objectives of the Thesis: The aim of the thesis is to compare muscle activity of selected muscles in shoulder girdle during forward stroke on wheelchair and crawling. Method: Surface electromyography combinated with kinematography analysis used synchronized video recording. Results and Conclusions: As the research shows, there is a difference in muscle activity (timing) between forward stroke on wheelchair and during crawling. It was proved that the activity of forward stroke on wheelchair does not have natural locomotive character. Keywords: Forward stroke on wheelchair, crawling, shoulder girdle, surface electromyography, kinematics analysis.
Nordic Walking - muscle response at movement apparatus in pelvis area
Hrouzová, Lenka ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Satrapová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Nordic walking - muscle response at movement apparatus in pelvis area. Purposes: The aim of the thesis is to compare muscle timing in pelvis area using EMG during free bipedal walk and during the walk with special sticks. Methods: Surface electromyography combinated with kinematografy analysis used synchronized video recording. Results: It Managed to prove different muscle timing at nordic walking and at free walk. It was proved lower activity of stabilization muscles at walk with sticks. Key words: Nordic walking, surface electromyography, stabilization muscles, kinematics analysis, bipedal locomotion
Analysis and comparasion of squat exercise due to surface EMG
Orava, Boris ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
ABSTRACT  Title of dissertation: Analysis and comparasion of squat exercise due to surface EMG  Objectives of dissertation: To measure and describe the structure involving specific muscles durring back squat, front squat and smith machine squat exercise.  Method: Surface EMG analysis and simple kinematic analysis.  Results: Activation of m. gluteus maximus was highest after the start of excentric movement. Main muscle working on the chase between the concentric and excentric movement was m. rectus femoris. Very similar timing and synergy were between m. erector spinae and m. biceps femoris. In this study was not higher activation of m. quadriceps femoris during front squat exercise, activation of m. gluteus maximus were also higher.  Key words: squat, strengthening, bar, front squat, back squat, Smith machine squat, bodybuilding, weightlifting, powerlifting, EMG analysis, kinematic analysis 6

The age related changes in walk stereotype
Vojtová, Michaela ; Vacek, Jan (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
1 Abstract: The aim of this study quantify and compare the differences in the dynamics of foot movement compared with static in adulthood and old age, focusing on the midstance phase. A secondary objective is to outline the relationship with the angular distribution of pressure on the sole. For measurements two measuring methods were used. The kinematic analysis named Qualysis was used as a main method and system of plantar pressure insoles Pedar X as a complementary method. The difference in measured distance of 1-MP calcaneus, 5MP - calcaneus and pronate angle of calcaneus was prooved using the statistical calculation, which confirmed the hypothesis of half clear a significant degree. Subsequently, the changes were further specified using the results of the distribution of maximum force and contact time of the soles.
Machine mechanisms and their modelling
Havelka, Filip ; Šleger, Vladimír (advisor) ; Sedláček, Aleš (referee)
The main topic of my thesis is creating a model of a crank mechanism in two different CAD programs suitable for constructing, implementing kinematic and dynamic analysis and comparing the procedures and results. In the first part I focus on the history and presence of CAD systems, 3D modeling in general, 3D modeling in real situations and utilizing created models. In the second part I choose a mechanism which I design then in two selected CAD programs. I will describe and compare the process of designing in these programs. I also describe construction, design principle and types of crank mechanisms. Then I will describe possibilities of analysis in both programs. Other chapter deal with the dynamic and kinematic analysis of the selected mechanism. The thesis is closed by evaluating the results.
Simulation of the 5th car door mechanism
Taušek, Martin ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with simulation of the 5th car door mechanism. The simulation runs in MSC.ADAMS software in which was made simulation model. The model contains several bodies which needed to have the same mechanical parameters as the CAD model of the real 5th door so the simulation was accurate. The opening of door is done by two gas springs, one on each side. These gas springs had to be correctly dimensioned to achieve fully opened door and safety movement as well. The thesis also deals with kinematic and dynamic analysis of the mechanism.
Piston for SI Turbocharged Engine 2.0L
Kusyn, Petr ; Bradávka, Marek (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on solve of design solutions for piston for turbocharged version of Honda K20A engine, especially on reduce of side force acting on piston. There are mentioned methods and on their basis also design solutions for piston to reduce this force. There is also included kinematic and dynamic analysis for each solution and as well their FEM analysis for testing the suitability of these solutions.
Experimental robotized workplace with delta-robot
Kozubík, Jiří ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This diploma thesis was written within Czech-German study programme Production systems (VUT v Brně & TU Chemnitz). This thesis is divided into four main parts. In the first part is brought out the introduction to design of robotic cells. Following part is concentrated on analysis of present state in area of machines with parallel kinematics. The penultimate part, on which is focused the main attention, is dedicated to kinematic analysis of delta-robot. Closing part of this Thesis presents the study of experimental robotized workplace with integrated delta-robot.
