Zoological preparation techniques in school practice
Odcházelová, Tereza ; Mourek, Jan (advisor) ; Šíma, Petr (referee)
This thesis consists of description of chosen methods of permanent macroscopic zoological preparations. I verified successfully all the methods in practice and in case of methodological difficulties I optimized them for use in the school environment. In this work I answered the questions that could come up throughout the preparation process, for example: how to preserve the animal correctly; where to acquire the animal legally; what is the best way to maintain the animal's natural colour; what materials to use for the preparation and so on. According to current approaches I created not only a text based version of the manual of all verified preparation methods, but also an online version in form of a web site. To clarify the methods I included video sequences, photographs and schemes. With this e- learning course a teacher will be able to extend the school collection with his own preparations and also will be able to recognize what significant characteristics to point out. As a part of my work I have done a questionnaire focused on using various types of equipment in biology lectures. I have asked primary school teachers and high school teachers from all regions in the Czech Republic. This questionnaire was sent online and 322 out of 1636 people responded. The answers tell us that teachers...
Problem of Preparation for Baptism
Matějovská, Alžběta ; Filipi, Pavel (advisor) ; Landová, Tabita (referee)
This thesis is called "The Problems of the Preparation for a Baptism". It deals with the theme of the preparation for a baptism in current practical-theoretical circumstances. Its main purpose is to study the conceptions, the emphasis and the fundamental aspects of the preparation for a baptism of se-lected representatives of Cristian churches: the Latin Church, the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren, and on the field of German Protestant churches. The work advances in five steps. At first the work deals with the question of a baptism, pre-baptismal prepa-ration and the baptism of children in the New Testament. Then it describes selected catechetical processes throughout history up to their extinction. In the third part it reflexes the procedures of the particular reformation movements. The fourth part of the work deals with concrete selected churches and their approach to the preparation for a baptism that are at first conceived from a the-oretical point. Later it is based on concrete authors and their rendition of the preparations for a baptism. In the fifth part there is a conclusion of those par- ticular preparations, their basic aspects and their classification into several thematic areas. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Evaluation of tooth preparation using Er: YAG laser in comparison with other preparation methods
Bučková, Michaela ; Dostálová, Taťjana (advisor) ; Racek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mazánek, Jiří (referee) ; Smrčka, Pavel (referee)
Er: YAG laser is a new method of preparation that promises gentler and more accurate dental treatment. Its specific characteristics is large absorption of the beam in the water and a small absorption in the tissue without the thermal effect. Therefore the treatment is safer and effectiver. The research has the aim in its theoretical - cognitive part to assess its advantages in comparison with treaditional treatment method - drill. As an essential element will be evaluation of caries lesion in vitro and in vivo. The size of the cavity will be judged on, the shape of developing a smear layer and retention surface in relation to the filling and the . The extracted teeth will be scanned in electronic microscope to assess the formation of contact and non-contact preparation, focusing on the shape and size of the prepared lesion in relation to modern filling materials - low viscosity composites. Extensive research supported by the Ministry of Health (IGA : 9991-4 and 13351-4) that focuses on the the use of various therapeutic methods in the treatment of special needs patients. Dental treatment of a special needs patients is expensive and time-consuming than conventional dental treatment. Therefore, clinical application of theoretical cognitive part will create a electronical support system for the...

Problem of Preparation for Baptism
Matějovská, Alžběta ; Filipi, Pavel (advisor) ; Landová, Tabita (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to collect, sort and describe the information about how to prepare for baptism. Another aim of the work is find a possible offer for the formation model of preparation for baptism currently, applicable to all can-didates for baptism. In the first part of this thesis are Described the various themes of baptism. Further is Described difference between the baptism of child and adult baptism. In this thesis is not omitted the question of baptism in Christ and baptism in the church. Chapter of the history tries to reflect the preparation for baptism in other periods of Christian history and consider the question preparation for baptism and her hints from the perspective of the New Testament. The Acquired information and experience I have tried to hint of this, why is it nowadays essential to direct the preparation for baptism to be discussed on the basis of preparation for baptism of children and adults. At the end was an at-tempt to presentation of several real practices in preparation for baptism from the selected preachers. I attempted to describe different Approaches to preparing for the baptism of in terms of individuality and uniqueness of each candidate. In this work I also acquired from my own experience in the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. Furthermore, I also studied...
Parasites And Their Preparation For School Utilization
Chlumová, Kateřina ; Říhová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with common parasites of game animals, animals and human occurring in the territory of the Czech Republic. It focuses on their fixation and general preparation of such specimens for usage in teaching of Science. The first part is devoted to the phenomenon of parasitism, and the history and definition of this concept. Systematic hierarchy of various unrelated parasitic groups is clarified. The second part provides the list of parasites, from the evolutionary original to the highly derived groups. We give an overview of their morphology and anatomy with the emphasis on their life cycle. The detailed knowledge of life cycle is essential for obtaining specimens. In each group, we indicate methods of collection and fixation in detail. The co called smartmicroscope represent the main point of the third part of proposed diploma thesis. Text of the thesis is supplemented with pictures taken by smart microscope, as well as by common microscope. KEY WORDS parasite, parasitism, mikropredatore, vector, fixation, preparation, smart mikroscope
Chemo-enzymatic synthesis of antiviral prodrugs
Tupec, Michal ; Stiborová, Marie (advisor) ; Indra, Radek (referee)
Lipases have been widely applied in the manufacture of food products and in some areas of the industry, nowadays they are used in synthetic organic chemistry catalyzing the hydrolytic/esterification reactions under very mild conditions in the field of protecting groups or enantiomer resolution. In this study, the commercial lipase from bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens was immobilized using the sol-gel process into organosilicate materials with propyl, octyl or phenyl substituents. The highest hydrolytic activity was found in the enzyme on the octyl-derived carrier. The immobilized enzymes differ in their hydrolytic activities on 4-nitrophenyl esters of various lengths. Subsequent experiments revealed quite good pH stability of the enzymes in a buffer (incubations in pH 3 through pH 11), as well as good temperature stability in isooctane (incubations at up to 100 řC). The majority of organic solvents seem to have no substantial effect on the lipase activity. The biocatalytic properties were studied on a model compound from the group of the acyclic nucleoside analogues - 9-(2',3'-dihydroxypropyl)adenine (DHPA). It was found for example that the best acyl donors are vinyl esters, that the lipase shows a preference towards longer vinyl esters, that the reaction proceeds faster in non-polar solvents or that it...
