T-Mobile MDA II in Linux

MSc. thesis deals with mobile digital assistant T-Mobile MDA II running Linux operating system. The first part presents device identification and parameters' specification of the MDA II. The second part focuses on selection of GNU distribution with Linux bootloader and Linux kernel support comparison. The subject of the last part is MDA II component code implementation and its merging into Linux kernel.

The Master´s thesis deals with the design of device for vehicle steering stiffness measurement. In the first part were shown the most famous design solution of steering systems and basic parameters of steering geometry. The next part of the thesis is about design of the device which is using power screw. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to analysis of the most important errors which may arise during the measurement.

This project includes the design of the System for digital short-range wireless communication. The methodology of the communication between net only one device type based system is proposed. The thesis describes system communication rules and used ways for protection of a correct transmission. This work deals with issues of detection chlorine, measurement pH, atmospheric pressure and temperature. The general aim is to study of the problem, the choice appropriate sensors and methods for detection, create schematic diagram and implementation of the analyzer. An integral part of wireless communication with the computer, susceptible the storage of date and makes it possible to further evalution.

The device for measuring of camshafts timings

Bachelor’s thesis is focused on constructional concept of device for measuring of camshafts timing and its wear-out. After short introduction and definitions of basic concepts there are problems of cams design analyzed and overview of the commercially offered devices is mentioned. Next part focuses on construction of the proper device including design documentation. Procedure of measuring with the device and example of some data evaluation is described. In the conclusion I evaluated constructional and economic aspect the whole concept.

Device Management in the corporate environment in comparison to ITIL requirements

The aim of this thesis is to compare the internal processes engaged in device management to ITIL recommendations and to determine the degree of similarity of specific processes with a given framework. Furthermore, this thesis aims to assess the benefits arising from utilization of specific inventory system and specify areas, which could be improved. I reached selected targets through method designed by myself to compare processes. The comparison is made through selected criteria and their weights representing the importance of these criteria. I determined a degree of similarity and areas, where processes do not reach the needs of the framework. Based on the data, it is possible to design and implement the necessary changes for processes to become more effective.
