General-Bass is a certain characteristic system of writing and playing an accompaniment in the 17th and 18 century for keyboard and harmonic instruments used in chamber or orchestra music. General-Bass evolved during those two centuries. First theoretical references of general-bass technique are dated around 1600. It was a renaissance motet technique die away and improvisation and polyphony baroque technique born time. Lodovico Viadanas treatise Cento concerti ecclesiastici from 1602 is a first written documented instruction of this technique. Centre of general-basses development expanded from Italy to Germany and France. There was a separate specific evolve and theoretical treatises of general-bass in each country. Despite of the separation there was a influence and inspiration between of the particular country stiles of general-basses praxes. Currently we are experiencing return of studies of historical general-basses treatises and arises modern textbooks of general-bass. Petrová, Jana ; Vaněk, Miroslav (advisor) ; Valeš, Lukáš (referee)
The degree work deals with the last century period of the 80s and 90s in the Pilsen region. Generally, it was time of lack of freedom and intolerance when all the state power was concentrated in one political party - the Czechoslovak Communist Party. Through description of some civic activities the work records groups of independent thinking in the Pilsen region. These activities were source of independent atmosphere; that's why they were supervised by the state power; their protagonists were monitored and their activities were supressed. In the work the independent areas are divided into chapters: church, music, scouting, camping, ecology. Another chapter focuses on the local dissent activities. Its members were predominantly from the above mentioned groups. Last chapter deals with unofficial publishing (samizdat) in this period. The aim of the degree work is to find (or at least to outline) the starting points and reasons that finally brought members of various groups (often diametrically opposite) together on the way of independent activities, dissent and unofficial publishing (samizdat).

Bačíková, Alžběta ; Sterec, Pavel (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The result of the project is a short video documentation of reciprocal lesson given by the twerking instructress and the teacher of the rhetoric. We can easily observe how the smart nonverbal choreography of speech is joining the erotically explicit dance. Women bodies are shot by camera during the training. They exercise proper breathing techniques first, then nonverbal expression and finally they try to articulate diverse notions on twerking. After the rhetoric lesson is given, they change the positions of teacher and the person being taught. It's time to learn how to twerk. In the final sequence we can see both women performing short twerk choreography on hip-hop music track made originally for the project.

Customs of Sedlčany region
Čekalová, Magdaléna ; Dvořáková, Markéta (advisor) ; Županič, Jan (referee)
In my work I focus on the traditions and folk customs in the Sedlčany region. I try to describe their history and current form. The Sedlčany region is interesting not only for natural and cultural monuments, but also for its history, and various famous people, for example Josef Suk and Jakub Krčín from Jelčany and Sedlčany. Various societies and clubs organize marches, music festivals and so on. I divide my work into five chapters. In all of them I concentrate on the customs and habits concerning the spring holidays and traditions (Easter, the Czech celebration of Witches Night and the feast of Saint Florian), the summer holidays and traditions (the Rosa Festival and the Sedlčany pilgrimage), the autumn holidays and traditions (Halloween, All Saints Day, Saint Martin's feast and Advent), the winter holidays and traditions (Christmas, the feast of Three Kings, Carnival and Fat Thursday). I want to prove in my work that Sedlčany is the region, where people still keep folk customs and traditions. Although some traditions have fallen by the way - side during the years, others have quickly been replaced by other traditions and practices, which in turn probably be replaced in the future. Many local people still keep a lot of typical customs and traditions of our culture. They try to pass them to their children,...

John Wyclif, Jan Hus and Martin Luther as apocalyptic prophets
Šárovcová, Martina
Illuminated music manuscripts created in 16th century Bohemia and Moravia for Utraquist literary brotherhoods represent a relatively rich collection of artefacts from the period before the Battle of White Mountain. The commonly illuminated incipits of these manuscripts also included introits dedicated to the feast of the Bohemian martyrs Jan Hus and Jerome of Prague. Several illuminations dating from the third quarter of the 16th century represent a richly documented iconography of Jan Hus. The first volume of the "Lesser Town Gradual" from the years 1569-1572 (Prague, National Library, sign. XVII A 3) also belongs to these manuscripts, due to its arrangement and selection of topics. Depicted in its bordure is John Wyclif striking a spark, Jan Hus lighting a candle with a twig and Martin Luther with a shining torch. With regard to the other lesser known literary and visual variants of the motifs of kindling light, the topic is interpreted in accordance with the interpretation of biblical verses in Chapter 11 of the New Testament´s Apocalypse about the calling of two witnesses and prophets at the beginning of the end of the world (The Book of Revelations 11, 3-4). The figures of John Wyclif, Jan Hus and Martin Luther can be interpreted in eschatological contexts of awaiting the second advent of Christ as apocalyptic prophets called by God and witnesses to the (Evangelical) truth who are bringing light to the darkness of the last time.

Slepá separace signálů pomocí fuzzy maskování
Čermák, Jan
Paper deals with separation of source signals from their mixtures without any information about mixing environment. This problem is known as blind source separation. We focus on improving a multichannel method called time-frequency binary masking. The proposed approach is based on using a fuzzy mask instead of a binary mask. We show that the separation performance increases by employing fuzzy mask. Moreover our method reduces musical noise introduced by binary masking.
