A dysfunctional family education and its effects on the quality of partnership

This thesis is concerned with education in dysfunctional families and its impact on relationships. In the introductory part defines technical terms such as family, education and relationships, deal with the theories associated with these phenomena. In the practical part of the three case studies illustrate how the dysfunctional family upbringing affects the young man look at partnerships and expectations of the relationship.
Media representation of adultery and its participants from 1970s

The aim of the diploma thesis Media Representation of Adultery and Its Participants From the 1970s is to analyze and describe the image of partner infidelity in selected Czech and Czechoslovak television series through the time and sociocultural context. The analyzed material and topic requires first an outline of the basic media theories, with focus on the theory of media construction of reality. Then follows the theoretical concept of partnership and adultery, at first seen through the optics of social context and then through the partnership itself, which helps us to understand the imaging analysis, models and stereotypes in the stories. The third theoretical chapter brings a brief description of the history of the Czechoslovak and Czech series, with an emphasis on the period since the 1970s accompanied by the theory of construction of reality in television series. We analyze three series - Nemocnice na kraji města, Život na zámku and Ordinace v růžové zahradě; our analysis is based on qualitative methods, specifically the naratological and discourse analysis, which helps us in the end to answer the defined research questions, to record the occurrence of certain models or stereotypes in the image of unfaithful characters, plots and other interesting phenomena within the social context of the series.
Attachment in couple relationship and in marriage

This study examine the interrelationship between the attachment in relationship and in marriage and relationship satisfaction. Based on theoretical models of attachment the study works empirically with a 2-factor concept of adult attachment. It deals with selected components of the relationship aspects of adult attachment. Another important issue is the relationship satisfaction. The work proposes a Czech translation of questionnaires Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised and the Couples Satisfaction Index and uses them in a research. Quantitative research was conducted on a sample of 258 respondents. 49 of them were clients of marriage counselling or psychotherapy practice. Statistical analysis showed significant correlation between the factors of attachment (Anxiety and Avoidance) and relationship satisfaction. The strongest correlation was found between satisfaction and anxiety. The results confirm the theory of attachment, according to which more securely attached individuals are more satisfied in a relationship than those less securely attached. The factors of attachment have proved to be better predictors of relationship satisfaction than age, gender or type of relationship (couple relationship / marriage). Battered women's partner choice

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to describe the issue of domestic violence against women. I have focused on the context of abused women in families, especially their relationship with their father. The theoretical part describes domestic violence in a broader context. I deal with such topics as: women as victims, gender in the context of domestic violence, self-assessment of abused women, myths and prejudices that are typical regarding the problem of domestic violence against women, the issue of partner relationships, focusing on partner choice. The practical part is devoted to qualitative research which has been implemented using narrative interviews with five women who have experienced domestic violence from their partner in the past. The aim of the research is to record and approximate the feelings of the abused women. Furthermore, the research is aimed at the influence of the original family, especially the father's influence on the daughter's future choice of partner.
Domestic violence and its impact on children's development.

This work is focused on domestic violence and its impact on the development of children affected by domestic violence. The theoretical part deals with definition of domestic violence, its symptoms and causes, personality of the oppressor and the victim, as well as the current regulations of the phenomenon in the Czech law. The practical part focuses on finding the links between childhood with an unstable family backgrounds, where domestic violence occurs and subsequent relations of individuals in adulthood.
Influence of the lifestyle to the quality of partner relationship of female university students.

My Bachelor Degree work deals with an issue of the healthy lifestyle in a link to the partner and sexual relationship of college female-students. The object I had focused on is female-students of the South Bohemia University, divided into groups of the actively sporting and non-sporting individuals. The first, theoretical part, is focused on a description of the healthy life style, drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking tobacco and the term ``partner relationship{\crq}q. In the empiric part hereof, the results of subjective feelings of the female-students are assessed from the partner relationship as well as the attitude to sports, consummation of alcoholic beverages and use of tobacco products already referred to above. In order to carry out the quantitative research, the questionnaire containing 52 questions had been used and distributed among 100 female-respondents. The return rate of the questionnaire is 69%. The aim hereof is to discover as to how substantially the partner and sexual relationship, drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking tobacco products influence the partner and sexual relationship and to the contrary, what is the impact of sticking to the healthy life style in the subjective evaluation of the female-students as well as the objective of putting numbers on the quantity of the foregoing determinants. Using this work is primarily an asset for a further research. This work represents a pilot study. Another practical use hereof is preventive programs for youth and students attending secondary schools and universities.
Mather and doughter's influence on the future partners relationship

Presented task deals with a relationship between mother and daughter and the effect on a future partnership. The task consists to the theoretical part, which includes several thematic units such as definition and the mother-daughter relationship´s development, systemic view of the family, pathology in this specific relation and future impacts, recommended solutions of problematical relationship with mother and life partner as well. The practical part deals with case problem of one family, which is focused on five generation´s female bloodline. Five women were interviewed and two women were interpreted by memories. The object of this task is to understand the depth of particular relationship between mother and daughter and its effect on oncoming relations from the personal story side. Interviews were evaluated by Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) method from Mary Main and other components.
The developement of partnerships in these days

This diploma thesis is used as a pilot study, which requires sensitive and private information. Data necessary for research have been hardly accessible. The own qualitative research has been done in form of half-standardized interviews, secondary analysis and case studies. There have been delimitated areas and specified main guideline questions, which were, if necessary, closely specified in the course of interview. The maximum length of an interview was 45 min. Respondents answered questions in anonymous way. 14 case studies have been developed based on obtained data.
