Hanincová, Zuzana ; Poláčková, Věra (referee) ; Lorenzová, Jitka (referee)
The aim of rigorous thesis called Probation and mediation in criminal justice from socio-pedagogical standpoint is (on theoretical bases of the area of the causation of youth delinquency, laws and methodic of Probe and Mediation service) to describe areas which the probation worker who works with youth must know, to project relevant work-methods with these specific clients and to try to analyze and evaluate (based on own research) the efficiency of probation workers. The thesis concerns relevant laws, specifically Zákon o odpovědnosti mládeže za protiprávní činy a o soudnictví ve věcech mládeže (218/2003 Sb.) and Zákon o Probační a mediační službě (257/2000 Sb.). In the last chapter there is presented the analytical research based on the real client data from Probe and Mediation service in the Czech Republic, which investigates links between criminal behavior of individuals and their characteristics. Results of the research are confronted with available general statistics for the Czech Republic and the problem of measuring social benefits from PMS is discussed.

Multilayer hierarchical models
Béger, Michal ; Petříčková, Zuzana (referee) ; Štanclová, Jana (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with hierarchical associative memories (HAM), which have been experimentally analysed only in the case of two layer hierarchy so far. The aim of this thesis is to study existing hierarchical models and evaluate experimentally their performance for more than two layer hierarchy. We show, that existing hierarchical model HAM is not suitable for three or more layer hierarchy. For that reason, we propose a new version of hierarchical model (called HAM-N), which enables utilization of any number of layers. The new model HAM-N uses the structure of the HAM model. However, due to modied learning and recall process, the HAM-N model eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks of the HAM model. Finally, the HAM-N model is experimentally studied with respect to processing of large amounts of correlated patterns. Thesis also includes analysis of experiment results.

Least Cost Routing pro vytáčené připojení k Internetu
Sameš, Ondřej ; Děcký, Martin (referee) ; Peterka, Jiří (advisor)
The submitted thesis deals in the analysis of the problem of searching the most convenient calls routing in internet telephony. First, there is the telephony environment described regarding current used technologies and market situation, which determines initilal assignment conditions: for each outgoing call we can use services of various providers, whose advantage depends on service quality, charging and call length. The work contains analyses and a solution to this assignment and introduces possible ways to deal with variating call lengths. Further focus is given on the problem of grouping destination addresses into different voice services provider's rates. Second, this work deals in the particular implementation of the assignment solving program and results in a module returning the most convenient connection and a description of its integration in software PBXswitchboard Asterisk, which had been chosen for its universality, openness and expansion and has so enhanced the solution usability. The final module is independent of Asterisk and could be implemented, for instance, into a web interface or used as a stand-alone application. In the conclusion, there is introduced a comparasion with similar solutions as well as a possibility of further expansion and development.

The work adverts to international carriage of goods and transport services globally as the essential elements of the world economy. One part is devoted to new trends in the development of legal and institutional framework besides the technological advances in the various modes of freight transport. Another topic is the analysis of transport and storage devices with the auxiliary view on containerization which together with the multimodal transport represents the most important aspects within past fifty years. The last part of this work points to information technology utilization in order to maximize efficiency and safety of traffic.

Designing mass modification of client contact records and theirs consolidation within financial institution
Převrátil, Martin ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Jeřábek, František (referee)
This master thesis deals with management request towards informatics department within front company that provides wide range of financial services. Demand refers to client contact data, particularly correspondence addresses and calls for possibility to mass change such records. There are several relatively separated tasks which need to be discussed in order to fulfill the request. First part introduces the company and analyze current situation. Then continue by describing correspondence addresses issue and supports with reasons for the inevitable change. Company's information system architecture is outlined with emphasis on central database that is being formed. This part also further describes options how data can be stored. Middle part contains reason--based choice where correspondence records should be maintained in company's data architecture. Implementation plan with chosen storage pattern is formed here and connected changes in system are highlighted. As a last processes connected to correspondence addresses mass modification are described and drawn with selected notation. After that user graphic interface is designed as a place where the self request will be served.

Morkusová, Kateřina ; Fejfarová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Dostál, Pavel (referee) ; Kupečková, Ivana (referee)
The title of the Bacheloŕs theses: Resusciatation procedures development and the level of knowledge of non - medical hospital attendants. In the theoretical part of my work I deal with the resusciatation procedures development from the beginning to the year 2005 when The European Council for Resusciatation issued new recommendations for help in the case of a sudden circulation failure and life - threatening situations - so called Guideliness 2005. In the empirical part of my research I would like to use an anonymous questionnaire to find out the level of knowledge of resusciatation procedures of non - medical hospital attendants. In the conclusion of my work I compare the research results between the Liberec Regional Hospital and the Medical First - aid Service of the Liberec Region.

Computational Aspects of Financial Instruments
Petr, Tomáš ; Myška, Petr (referee) ; Hurt, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the possibilities of financial derivatives pricing. Explained are especially mathematical approaches used for modelling the development of random variables, which represent the evolution of underlying securities and interest rates. Based on this representation is then derived the pricing of various financial derivatives, mainly options, using the risk-neutral probability measure. Both the analytical pricing methods, especially those extending the Black-Scholes formula for European call and put options pricing, and the numerical and simulation pricing methods for modelling prices and interest rates based on assumptions about their distribution are involved. Mentioned are also ARCH and GARCH models for estimation of interest rates and indices distribution parametres. At the end of the work are these methods compared by application on an example of market data. Compared are various models to price the most usual types of options - analytical pricing (if available), underlying security price simulation by construction of binomial tree model, simulation of particular trajectories by Monte Carlo method.

Brzá, Magdaléna ; Karásek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Ditrych, Ondřej (referee)
The Master's thesis Delegitimization of the west in Al Qaeda's Magazine Inspire focuses on the techniques of terrorist group's propaganda aimed at individuals of Arab descent and Islam faith residing in one of the western countries. Thesis analyses sixteen issues of digital magazine Inspire published since 2010 by Al Qaeda affiliate in Yemen called AQAP - Al Qaeda in Arabian Peninsula. Terrorist attacks by so called lone-wolfs on the territory of western states have had increasing tendency in the last decade. The phenomenon of online propaganda and radicalisation through social networks is progressively becoming one of the major challenges for western security services. Grasping the sociological and psychological aspects of lone wolfs' drivers for conducting terrorist attacks is thus crucial. The underpinning theory of the thesis is framing analysis together with the concept of delegitimization. Thesis traces the production and use of five framing tools - metaphor, catchphrases, depiction, exemplars and visual images (which are the combination of studies done by Fairhurst & Sarr and Gamson & Modigliani 1989). Second part of the thesis links the framing tools with three stages of the delegitimization of the west - a crisis of confidence, a conflict of legitimacy and a crisis of legitimacy. The...
