The Financial Analysis of a Company

This bachelor thesis contains a theoretical interpretation of a financial analysis, financial statements, users of financial analysis, indicators, basic processes of an elaboration of a financial analysis. The other part of bachelor thesis, a practical part, uses this theoretical knowledge to design an external financial analysis of a company. The company Iveco Czech Republic, a. s. became an analysed company. This bachelor thesis even contains concrete proposals and recommendations for improving or stabilization of a financial situation of the company.

The first part of this thesis is focused on definition of currency risk. Internal and external methods of management of currency risk are mentioned. In the second part, all types of financial derivatives - forwards, futures, swaps and options - are characterized. The final part is a concrete example of hedging of currency risk with all types of financial derivatives. The contracts are compared and their advantages and disadvantages are mentioned.

Czech weelky ,,Literární noviny" under the lead of Petr Bílek in years 2010-2012

Literární noviny is a unique periodical with a long tradition on the Czech press market. Cultural and political magazine has been emited with several pauses since 1927 and its profile changed several times through various historical periods. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to follow and describe changes of the weekly Literární noviny under the lead of Petr Bílek in years 2010-2012. The diploma thesis will focus not only on a content change, but also thematic, editorial and visual change. The first chapter of the diploma thesis will briefly summarize history of the periodical from 1927 until 2009 and will mention necessary historical context. The second and third chapter will focus on the years 2010-2012. The second chapter of work will describe the profile of periodical, owner structure, profile of the readers, work will also focus on editorial and external staff and its change through time. It will also mention Czech personalities writing for the weekly. At the end of the second chapter, work will introduce editor-in-chief, Petr Bílek. Third chapter of diploma thesis is dedicated to content form of the periodical. Center of water skiing Soběslav

The thesis is focused of proposal and procesing of project documentation Center for waterskiing. The proposed object is located in the western part of the town Soběslav, in the locality aimed at sports activities. The building is created of facilities for summer sports, especially water skiing and wakeboarding. Further there will be built a playground for ball sports and track on roller skates. This is a three-storey no with a cellar object with a flat roof. The object is based on the foundation reinforced concrete pads a strips. The first floor is bricked of permanent formwork and partly of cast in place structure. The second and third floors is designed of clay blocks POROTHERM. This masonry is insulated with the aid of external contact thermal insulation. In the western part of the building is designed ventilated facade. The floor structures is designed from prestressed reinforced concrete panel SPIROLL and partly from reinforced concrete slabs. The object is divided into several operating units. They are the gym and its facilities, restaurant with kitchen, facilities for employees and the necessary storerooms, coffeehouse, shop with sporting equipment, rental equipment for water skiing and a dressing room serving the outdoor sports. The essential part of the second floor is comprised outdoor terrace. From this terrace is allowed entry to the coffeehouse, restaurants, shops and on the main staircase.

The possibilities of using electronic archiving in accounting

This diploma thesis deals with an electronic (digital) archiving issue and its using in the financial accounting and general company matters. The thesis is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part includes the legislative framework in the archiving theory, after that there is an analysis of means for the internal and external communication in companies. At the end of the theoretical part is contained an archiving standardization, archiving strategies and some products and solutions to a trustworthy electronic archiving in organizations. The practical part is based on the author's survey about using the electronic archiving in the Czech Republic. The procedure of the survey was performed by sending of an electronic questionnaire. At first, the structure of respondents is pursued, in the second part follows the analysis of the reached outcome.

Internal audit of banks and its function during detection of fraudulent actions

This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of internal audit in bank and his function during the detection of fraud schemes. Firstly, there is a summary of audit evolution in the world and Czech republic then the thesis defines general concept of audit and its parts such as internal and external audits and their relation. Within internal audit there is explained its principle, characteristic of internal auditor and integration into the organizational structure. The process of internal audit in bank is important part of the thesis and all phases and work activities are explained. There are defined types of frauds and their perpetrators in the segment of fraudulent activities. The thesis highlights the position of internal audit amongst several kinds of detection methods. This final finding is supported by two real cases that are analyzed from the perspective of internal audit.

Za rámec běžného plánování podníkání: budování internetového startupu v rychlé ekonomice

First part of the thesis compares available approaches on business planning, namely the traditional and newly emerged and proposes a Business Planning Approach Selection Framework that should help (newbie) entrepreneurs with orientation in the chaotic business planning world and choosing an approach suiting their specific needs. Conclusion of the theoretical part is that both the traditional and modern business plans have their role in todays business environment. While the old are great for external presentation and funds securing, the new enable to create more complex process for planning successful business from the original idea to and beyond their launch, building on customer feedback and gradual iterations. The practical part then builds on the theoretical research and aims to check feasibility of an actual business project, a multisided platform mediating sales of automotive financial products. It describes the model refinement and product creation process as well as eventually proves viability and feasibility of the whole business.
