Compiler generator based on restarting automata
Procházka, Jan ; Plátek, Martin (referee) ; Mráz, František (advisor)
Restarting automata, in their most general form, represent a very strong theoretical model recognizing much wider class of languages than the class of context-free ones. Hence, our goal was to design a tool which for a given restarting automaton (in human-readable format) generates a program computing the meaning of an input text. In order to enable that, this thesis extends the model of restarting automata by adding semantics to its meta-instruction. The resulting program is a compiler-compiler (CCRA) inspired by the tools such as flex or bison. However, the CCRA uses restarting automaton instead of a context-free grammar. The implementation as well as the output are realized in C++ which ensures the compatibility with both Windows and Linux systems.

Changes in gastronomical behaviour of miners in Kladensko (with focus on Vinarice village)
Žvachtová, Pavla ; Tomandl, Miloš (referee) ; Štěpánová, Irena (referee)
Kladno region as a well-known industrial area (black coal mines, steelworks, etc.) started to grow in the second half of the 19th century. Following the industrial development of this area, there was a great professional imigration (from the whole Czech region). As a result of this imigration, social habits of the original inhabitants of the agricultural Kladno and those of the newcomers started to mix and a new specific Kladno "worker's" culture started to form. It changed many times, particularly within the context of economic and political development, however its roots originate in the 19th century. Kladno miners' culture experienced one of essential changes after 1990 when the whole region went through a social transformation resulting from the alterations in the industrial sphere. The steel production (POLDI) and mainly the coal mine production declined during the nineties (the last coal mine was closed in 2002). These changes showed in everyday lives of the people in the area. They distinctively affected the people involved in these changes, namely the people employed in Kladno businesses (the majority of whom lost their jobs and who in comparison with the period before 1990 lost their social status). Implicitly the economic transformation affected the rest of the population of Kladno. This thesis...

Complex and its relation to the motivational part of personality
Opatrný, Martin ; Soukup, Václav (referee) ; Borecký, Vladimír (advisor)
The submitted essay focuses on the very broad and problematic idea of complex which is characterized as "king road to unconsciousness" by Car1 Gustav Jung. The aim ofthe essay is to identify and theoretically describe the fundamentals of the complex-phenomenon and to point out its relation to the motivational part of personality. The basic hypothesis of the essay is the presumption that complex might function as a positive motivational drive of human behaviour. That is the reason why it is necessary to analyze, theoretically and in detail, the process of motivation, too. Different from the specialized psychological works, this essay is to be seen from broader, cultural point of view and it summarizes both the new approaches to the field of motivation and complex and the older thoughts of the great psychologists Car1 Gustav Jung, Alfred Adler, Sigmund Freud and many others. Despite the fact that neither in the domestic nor in the foreign literature we can find any monographies that would handle the problem of complex and the related phenomenons in detail, I tried to reveal the possible relation between complex and the motivational part of personality. Based on former studies of scholar1y literature I have conc1uded that it is necessary to view both mentioned terms in various context as without it the full...

Karel Krejčí's Comparative Approaches in his Understanding of Czech and Polish Literature
Matějková, Veronika ; Janoušek, Pavel (advisor) ; Svatoň, Vladimír (referee) ; Trávníček, Jiří (referee)
The thesis documents and interprets the conflict between the literary discourses of the time on the one hand, and the specific approach of Karel Krejčí (1904-1979), comparatist, Slavist and Czech studies scholar, on the other hand. Based on the Krejčí's studies on literary history and comparative literature, as well as his participation in the methodological debates of his time, the thesis analyses the impact of this conflict on the author's literary theory method, and his work of a literary historian and comparatist in general. The analysis is based on the ambiguous reception of Krejčí's scientific work: while he is recognised as a great personality in the field of Slavic studies, he is considered an outsider in the general context of Czech literary science. The thesis describes how the author, with his methodological approach, was in opposition to the prevailing trend. As a Slavic studies scholar he criticised the 'influence science' and positivist methods employed in the field. In the period between the two world wars he inclined towards the sociology of literature, although this discipline did not become popular. While he was interested in phenomenology and formalism, he defended his 'historical-sociological' approach against structuralism, which was gaining ground. In the 1950s Krejčí wrote a...

Divination Practices of Christmas Ritual Cycle in the Czech Lands
Rovenská, Kateřina ; Janeček, Petr (advisor) ; Kozák, Jan (referee)
My work presents a typological index of divination practices performed during an interval between the beginning of Advent and Epiphany (Three Kings' Day). This list is made of folk practices known in the Czech lands since advent of Christianity until now. Particular types of divination practices are sorted by goals achieved by divination, not chronologically. Framework of this work is made by general interpretation of the divination itself as cultural practice with introduction to the context of Christian Christmas celebration and also to the problematics of koexistence of Slavic pre-Christian culture with Christian culture in early Middle Ages. Main data use in my work are ethnographic data drawn from books of Č. Zíbrt, J. I. Hanuš and other Czech ethnographers. Theoretical parts are based on works of scholars of religion, folklorists and anthropologists such as M. Eliade, K. J. Erben or K. Richter. KEY WORDS: divination, future, Advent, Christmas, New year, new year, pre-Christian culture, Christian culture, Czech lands
