The History of "Tramping" (Hiking) in the Kačáku Basin

Hlavním důvodem pro sepsání této diplomové práce byla potřeba představit ve světě unikátní české trampské hnutí. Na základě shromážděných historických dat se pokusím osvětlit důvody jeho vzniku, nastínit vývoj, který v průběhu desítek let prodělalo a popsat sportovní aktivity, kterým se trampové věnovali. Dalším hlediskem pro zpracování práce bylo i to, že podobným tématem se na různých vysokých školách zabývalo jen malé množství diplomantů. Protože trampské hnutí nebylo oficiálně organizováno, lze o něm nalézt jen velmi málo literatury či jiných historických pramenů. Nejznámější publikací je kniha Boba Hurikána Dějiny trampingu, zabývající se vznikem a historií tohoto hnutí přibližně do čtyřicátých let 20. století. Nutno ale konstatovat, že se v tomto díle občas objevují nepřesnosti. I přesto je to ale práce zasluhující si obdiv. Zvlášť když si představíme, že podklady pro jeho sepsání autor shromažďoval v době, kdy to bylo složitější než dnes a zabýval se celou Československou republikou. A jelikož sám patřil k průkopníkům trampingu, čerpal často z vlastních vzpomínek a vyprávění pamětníků. Dalším důležitým pramenem, zabývajícím se historií trampingu, je kniha Český tramping 1918 - 1945 autorů M. Waice a J. Kossla. Je to relativně novodobé dílo, vydané v roce 1992. English book titles in gerundial form

The category of gerund is a symptomatic component of the grammatical system of present-day English. Numerous studies have dealt with its nature and functions as well as with its delimitation as opposed to related forms of present participle or verbal noun. No matter whether the term gerund is used or not and whether it is theoretically sustainable to differentiate between the related -ing forms, it is obvious that the -ing form that in many contexts clearly displays both nominal and verbal features plays a crucial role within both written and spoken discourse. Nonetheless, apart from the gerund operating within continuous texts, it is revealing to explore its behaviour and functions in the text-frame components, particularly the title, i.e. a text-frame component with a crucial role in the printed publication of a book type. In this context, it is necessary to present 3 basic starting points of the present study: 1. the notion of gerund as a grammatical category is retained in this study (see 2.1.3); 2. a new term - gerund title l - is introduced in order to capture the analyzed structures (see the detailed characterization in 2.3); 3. the analysis is largely based on the functional approach.

Phonetic literacy of Czech secondary school pupils in the Russian language

The dissertation deals with the pronunciation of Czech pupils in the Russian language. In this work, the phonetic literacy is defined and the attention is paid to its formation. The text is divided into three basic parts - the first is devoted to theoretical foundations which influence pupils' acquisition of the phonological system of a foreign language (from the linguistic, psychological and lingvodidactic points of view); the second part summarizes the results of the analysis of the relationship of Russian language teachers to the examined problem, the results of an analysis of available textbook sets and it describes a performed phonetic testing of secondary school pupils including the interpretation of its results; in the third part of the thesis there is a synthesis of the findings from both preceding chapters, followed by a discussion. During the research within the domain of the dissertation focus, quantitative and qualitative methods of educational research were used: a survey, content analysis of textbook sets, phonetic testing and analysis of recordings of students' authentic speech. The work provides a comprehensive view of the examined problem in the context of the current situation when the Russian language at Czech schools is taught as L3. v teto pn3ci jsme se pokusili za pomoci kulturologickych instrumentu nahlednout fenomen sportu v soudobe zapadni spolecnosti. Nas zajem smeroval ale spise k zachyceni a charakteristice zrcadleni tohoto fenomenu v kultui'e nez k uchopeni fenomenu sameho. Vychazeli jsme z pi'edpokladu, i.e nejvetSi cast recipientU se se sportem setkava v podobe kulturniho textu, jenz vznika distribuci sportu masovymi medii. Tento kulturni text jsme posleze podrobili blizsi analyze a nastinili jsme nektere moznosti jeho interpretace. Musime konstatovat, ~e v ceskych podminkach - na rozdil od zapadnich zemi - jde pravdepodobne 0 zatim specificky a ojedinely pokus. I u nas Ize zajiste nalezt celou i'adu nejruznejsich publikaci 0 sportu, vcetne praci odbornych. Zpravidla se tyto prace ale zamei'uji na zakladni sociologicke zkoumani, muzeme nalezt nespocet del ze sportovni historie a bylo by mozne jmenovat i pokusy 0 aplikaci filosofie na fundament sportu, jimz je minena zejmena specificka telesna cinnost. Pokud jde 0 zrcadleni, resp. vliv sportu na kulturu, byva kladen duraz na idealni podobu sportu: tedy sport coby mediator uslechtilych myslenek, zasad fair play apod. Corporate Foundations in the Context of Corporate Social Responsibility

The thesis deals with Corporate Social Responsibility with an emphasis on corporate foundations. The first, theoretical part of the thesis defines Corporate Social Responsibility, discusses its history and also describes the implementation of the concept in the Czech Republic. The second part of the thesis deals with the legal definition of foundations and the history of foundations in general. A relatively new category of foundations are corporate foundations, which are analysed with the help of comparative analysis. Finally, the last part of the thesis presents case studies of five specific foundations.

The program tries to anticipate user's intentions and propose their quick accomplishion. The aim of this thesis solves is completely new and its function is not available even in advanced text editors. The topic is inspired by the user's interface of the programming enviroment Visual Studio, which sometimes proposes the program code the user is probably going to write. This theses focuses on Olga Krijtova (1931-2013), Czech translator from Dutch. The aim is to introduce Olga Krijtova within the framework of reception of Dutch literature in Czech cultural environment. In order to explore this framework, the thesis compares Czech and Dutch culture from translatological point of view, outlines the history of Czech-Dutch relationshiops and Dutch literary translations into Czech, as well as the history and current state of the academic discipline of Dutch studies. In the 20th century, Olga Krijtova had contributed greatly to making the Dutch literature available for Czech recipients. The thesis aims to find out how many translations done between the years 1957-2016 are Krijtova's or her students' work. Further, it summarizes her teaching and linguistic work. However, the main focus is her translation activities, which is studied by means of translation analysis in the second part of the thesis. The final aim is to review and interpret Krijtova's translation strategies and methods, as well as to assess her overall contribution to the reception of Dutch literature within the Czech environment and to the Dutch studies in the Czech Republic.
