In situ projects in the protection of Pongo genus in connection with the expansion of oil palm plantations on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra
Talpová, Julie ; Masopustová, Renata (advisor) ; Dokoupilová, Adéla (referee)
This Bachelor Thesis is dedicated to the protection of Bornean orangutan Pongo pygmaeus and Sumatran orangutan Pongo abelii in connection to the expansion of palm oil plantations. The genus Pongo includes Bornean orangutan Pongo pygmaeus and the Sumatran orangutan Pongo abelii. Until recently these species were considered to be subspecies but on the basis of genetic analysis there were significant changes in the taxonomy. It can be assumed that the scheme will continue to evolve. Bornean orangutan is classified as endangered species by the IUCN, Sumatran orangutan even as critically endangered. Their vulnerability is apparent from their way of life. They are long-lived, but slowly reproducing animals. Female brings the first baby to the world after 15 years of age and is devoted to its eight years of age. They are typical representatives of arboreal primates. Trees are their sleeping place, provide them ability to move and serve as food source. There are several sources of danger. The biggest threat is considered to be the loss of habitat of orangutans because of the establishment of oil palm plantations, logging and fires. These processes cause fragmentation of native habitats and access to forests means a threat of poachers. Elaeis guineensis is grown in Indonesia and Malaysia since the early 20th century and currently these countries produce 84% of world palm oil production. The lifetime of the plantations is estimated at 20-25 years. It is known that the soil is very exhausted after this time, the issue therefore is its future usefulness. The products are palm oil and palm-kernel oil, which are applied in food, cosmetics and industry. Both types of the oils contain high amounts of saturated fatty acids, therefore the WHO recommends to reduce the consumption of these oils. The aim of the in situ projects in Borneo and Sumatra was originally an effort to return the rescued orangutans to the wild in the first place. Increasingly, however, the projects faced the problem that such animals have nowhere to return, as their original habitats no longer exist. For this reason, the attention shifts to protect the natural habitat of orangutans and existing wild populations, with emphasis on the rigorous quarantine of newly recruited individuals, their social integration into the group, but also educational programs for the public.

Critical points of grapevine growing in organic farming.
Volfová, Kateřina ; Kuchtová, Perla (advisor) ; Jadrná, Petra (referee)
The most widely spread production system in the world conventional, is strictly focused on maximal achievable profit from a unit of area. This system is not long-term sustainable and brings many negative aspects. As an answer to the problems related to conventional production are newly-emerged production systems (organic, integrated, biodynamic). Organic production system has penetrated almost all agricultural sectors and grapevine growing is not an exception. The main goal of the thesis was to process the study about critical points of organic grapevine production in context of binding principles and legislative limits of ecological agriculture with emphasis on quality process. The particular critical production points have been described and also their possible solutions in different production systems. According to all the factors organic grapevine production is very stable and sustainable system by which the natural cycle is not affected and at the same time it is capable to produce the high quality bunch of grapes and from them safe and high quality products. The critical points of this production are not too serious that the wine grower would not be able to effectively solve them. The grapevine growing with the convention method is very inconsiderate way and most of the wine growers went over to the integrated production which is more considerate and in viticulture capable. Organic production is the next step to the sustainable agricultural system in Czech Republic and to the change of thinking of natural sources.

Analysis of the Fluid Flow in Pipes Circular and Not Circular Cross-Section With Methods Using Distribution of the Vorticity Density
Soukup, Lubomír ; Kozubková, Milada (referee) ; Matas, Jakub (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with the analysis of the flow in the circular and not circular cross-section pipes by methods using the distribution of the vorticity density. This analysis is particularly focused on the derivation of the new velocity profiles formulas using the above mentioned method. In this work is presented a historical overview of the derived velocity profiles. This overview of already derived velocity profiles will be a fundamental benchmark for newly derived velocity profiles. These new velocity profiles are derived for the circular and not circular cross-section pipes and the derivation is based on the analogy of electromagnetic induction by using Biot-Savart law. It is necessary to apply this analogy at first on solitary vortex filament. By taking this step is possible to get the value of the induced velocity from one solitary vortex filament. Subsequently it is possible to obtain the value of the induced velocity from the vorticity wall and afterwards from the vorticity density distribution over the cross section. This work contains also the results of the experimental measurements of the velocity profiles, and of the CFD simulations. Experimentally measured results are used besides other for the selecting of the most suitable CFD computational model. Selected CFD model will be subsequently declared as a reference model and the valid velocity profiles for this model will serve with the experimentally measured data as a benchmark for the newly derived velocity profiles.

New world experience with Asphalt-Rubber pavement
Jevínová, Alexandra ; Urbanec, Květoslav (referee) ; Kudrna, Jan (advisor)
The road infrastructure and the services provided in road transportation are inseparable part of everyday people´s life, improving economic development, competitiveness and social prosperity. Development of the road infrastructure is extensive process, both financially and technically, and in Czech and Slovak conditions it mostly depends on EU funds. In the recent years there is a great need for new approach of design and realization of the road projects in the selection of the most appropriate solution in feasibility study beginning in the project stage, continuing in realization, taking into account the possibilities of using all kinds of recycled material, which can otherwise end up in the landfills. One of the mentioned materials are also waste tires. The main goal of bachelor thesis is to verify the possibilities of application the waste tires in the road construction focusing on the technology of Crumb Rubber modified Bitumen using “wet process “(continuous blend).

The Slovak political party system was shaken by new political parties, that emerged just recently and strongly influenced the political scene. The aim of the paper was to find out, what was the key of success of the the new political parties, which made it to the parliament in the parliamentary elections in June 2010 and in march 2012. In order to reach this goal I research the circumstances which lead to the establishment of these parties, their election program, the governmental period, the campaign and the role of the party leader. The paper is divided into four chapters, out of which the chapter one is dedicated to the teoretical background and definitions, the second chapter is putting light on the Slovak party and election system, the chapter three and four are the analytical core of the paper, in which I analyze the the political parties SaS, Most-Híd and OĽaNO in the above mentioned areas. I conclude the analytical part by the anlysis of the election results do the Slovak parliament in year 2010 and the preliminary election in the year 2012.

The manor house Boskovice
Podivínská, Adéla ; ing.arch. Lukáš Ležatka, Ph.D (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Švecová, Táňa (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is based on studio project created in the summer semester of the second year of undergraduate studies. The task was the renewal solutions and new use of the building with a loft, currently unused, the building of the Manor house in Boskovice. Manor house is located in a conservation area near the center of Boskovice, district Blansko. This historically protected building complex of farm Boskovice castle is a valuable urban property. After a fire in 1823 was rebuilt, but its appearance has remained virtually unchanged. The biggest change has passed the east wing, which was built a new roof, and arcades were walled up. Currently, the building unused and falling into disrepair. The courtyard is overgrown gas distributor greenery and paved areas are in a state of devastation. The aim was to restore the place of its historical value and use of the building to the public for recreation and leisure activities. In its current form and historically valuable buildings renaissance details will not be interfered with in any way, and nothing will be demolished, but in the context of the return of state in historical terms, it is about restoring monuments. Outbuildings were designed with understated approach so as to not disrupt the architectural structures countenance, but they gave him a new modern concept. The material on these new features is the corroded steel. It was a merger of the two approaches to architecture in a different century. The building consists of a deck above the newly exploited attic for accommodation and part of the basement is also three separate cellars. Existing structures will be redeveloped. Construction work will be carried out mainly in the context of treatment available, change sanitary rooms, new loft conversion and conversion use. The proposed functional content manor house after reconstruction and completion is predominantly public, there will be a library, catering, accommodation and facilities for leisure acti

The present thesis, "The Economic Importance of Bolivia in South America and its commercial Perspectives with the Czech Republic", is a complete and unique study which aims to determine, from an in-depth analysis of the current socio-economic situation in Bolivia, the opportunities that arise from its close cooperation in projects common with the European Union as a whole and the Czech Republic in particular, leading to fulfil the new vision of a multinational Bolivia. In order to accomplish this objective, the thesis is divided into 6 chapters. Each chapter brings forward those individual characteristics which best describe Bolivia. Firstly, it analyses Bolivia as a developing country, a situation common to its Latin-American neighbours, and the current tendency of this group of countries in terms of their "intraregional and interregional" integration. Furthermore, Bolivia is evaluated from a socio-economic perspective on a macro-regional, departmental and sectorial basis, focusing on the most outstanding sectors. This evaluation revealed its potentialities as well as specific areas which are still in need of further financial support for their development, in accordance with the current vision of Evo Morales' government. As this study aims to encourage investments in the Bolivian territory from the European Union and particularly from the Czech Republic, it also describes in detail the cooperation and commercial relations in which Bolivia currently participates, at a bi-regional (EU-Latin America), interregional (EU-Andean Community of Nations), unilateral (EU-Bolivia) and bilateral level (Czech Republic and Bolivia). Finally, the thesis identifies a variety of potential projects which any country from the EU, specially the Czech Republic, could participate in, seeking mutual benefit based on their individual supply and demand rates. To achieve this, it is critical for the EU and the government of Bolivia to reformulate and strengthen their bilateral and multilateral commercial relations.

Remodelace kostí po náhradě kyčelního kloubu. Numerické modelování a srovnání s klinickými pozorováními
Klika, Václav ; Maršík, František ; Landor, I.
The stress-strain changes in the surroundings of the hip-joint implant have dramatic impact on the response from the living bone tissue – by the remodeling process. This process is divided into three stages that can be described by five ordinary differential equations for the concentrations of five relevant chemical components. The driving force for the remodeling process is the dynamic loading. It is apparent that the joint implant creates a very new condition for natural remodeling process. In presented paper we simulate the consequences caused by remodeling phenomenon and compare it to clinical studies.
