Restoration of ponds in Moravia
Drašar, Zdeněk ; Novotný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on the history of pond building from the begining of first settlement on the territory to the current state. In the first part is the work focused on the history of pond building generally and with available resources on the specific situation in Moravia. The second part addresses the modern pond building and fish farming in 19th and 20th century. The next section is devoted to the current state of building of the ponds and possibilities of renewal of lost ponds. In the last section is solved posibility of recovery specific area in the range of theoretical studies.
The proposal of the small water reservoir
Suchánek, Petr ; Hyánková, Eva (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the assessment of a small water tank site in the village Mutěnice. The first part focuses on the theory - the history of small water reservoirs, both in the world and in the Czech Republic, as well as the classification of reservoirs, a summary of the necessary documentation and a general description of the site. In the second part the author presents a conceptual design of the reservoir, a design of the main objects related to hydrology, determines the approximate area and volume, and gives a proposal of the usage options. The schematic outlines of the design are also a part of the thesis.
Presence of water reservoirs (fishponds) in the basin and their impact on water runoff volume and peak flows during rainfall-runoff events
MUCHNA, Radek
This bachelour thesis is focused on an affect of ponds during rainfall-runoff events. Distribution of the water is desribed and how it affects a landscape. It is also defined what hydrological cycle is, its division and description. The thesis also evaluates precipitation, more specifically it is focused on extreme rainfall, which causes floods. In the thesis is mentioned a history of formation of ponds for better understanding of this topic and its context. This part deals with basic features and function of ponds, where to properly place them and their technical specification. The second part of the thesis begins with description of retention (a retention space) and accumulation (an accumulation space) and continues with recommondations for elevating the retention space in ponds. Then the thesis is focused on factors that more or less affect water runoff from a watershed. The main part of the thesis deals with the impact of water tanks on the size and shape of the hydrograph in rainfall-runoff events and it vividly demonstrates the affects of the ponds whether positive or negative on various floods in history of the Czech Republic.
Aspects affecting the price of the pond
Smolík, Jindřich ; Weigel, Lubomír (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This thesis deals with the measurement of ponds and influencing aspects that may play a role in the valuation of ponds. In the first part of the thesis, the author discusses the basic concepts and issues that are necessary for the valuation of the pond. In the second part of the thesis is stated as a specific example of a pond situated on three pozemcíchy using the cost method of valuation in accordance with Decree successive steps and for comparing valuation program ABN14.
Retention Reservoir Design in the Police Cadastr
Hadaš, Zdeněk ; Menšík, Pavel (referee) ; Starý, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the river basin flood protection Loučka. The goal of the thesis is to assess the need of flood control measures supplement in the watershed. The first part deals with exploration of river basin, acquiring geographic factors and obtaining information about the topic, establishment and application of rainfall model used for solving the problem. The second part deals with improving of flood protection at critical selected places by using design of reservoir system with retention effect and by increasing river basin capacity. For basin schematisation was used ArcGIS program and the simulation of rainfall-runoff process was made by Hydrog program.
Small tanks in the cultural landscape
Királ, Martin ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is mainly focused on preliminary design of a pond and it is divided into theoretical and practical part. The teoretical part is divided into three main chapters. First chapter deals with water, which is an important aspect of the life on the Earth, and its realationship to a landscape. The second chapter examines small water reservoirs, their functions, technical solutions and reconstruction of existing water reservoirs. The last theoretical part concetrates on ponds in Czech Republic and history of fish farming. The practical part includes preliminary design of the pond in Zbýšov in the district Brno-venkov, its hydrotechnical analysis and calculations, engineering report and photographs of the location.
The small reservoirs as part of cultural landscape
Portová, Nikola ; Vrba, Ing Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
While the title of this thesis is “Small reservoirs as a part of the cultural landscape”, the focus of this study is much broader. The analysis goes beyond small water reservoirs, discussing both the historical and technical aspects of their restoration with emphasis on the south Moravian reservoir systems. The opening chapter explores the history of the relationship water has with both society and nature. In the second chapter, the focus shifts onto the various roles, the physical and technical characteristics, as well as the methods for restoring small water reservoirs. In the final chapter, the emphasis shifts from reservoirs to ponds - and their utilization for farming fish. This chapter starts by exploring the current pond systems across Czech Republic, and then compares today’s south Moravian pond systems to their historical beginnings.
Revitalisation study for historical water reservoir
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Iva
The revitalization plan was made for Kubňů Černá pond in Třeboň basin, Czech Republic. The detailed field survey concentrated on evaluation of ponds current state and the functioning of the drain and the spillway protective dick. Based on field survey, the revitalization was divided into three steps that dealed with retention capacity improvement, facilities renovation, dam renovation and ecosystem stability improvement. The revitalization program would be supported by Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic due to high financial demands.
Managerial Evaluation of the Preparation for Construction of the Pond
Hronová, Monika ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Žižka, Martin (referee)
The thesis disserts the decision making during the construction of a pond as water management source mainly focused on pre-implementation phase and the associated financial costs, from the decision of investor (builder), through appropriate site selection, to project preparation and selection of the contractor. The thesis marginally mentions the realization of the construction in terms of financial costs. In the practical part of the thesis, there is simplified procedure for pre-implementation phase, qualified estimate of the financial costs and the thesis also focuses on the selection of contractors and conditions that are related to the selection. The main contributions of the thesis is to introduce the issue of water management pre-implementation phase of construction of a pond, the procedure and conditions for decision to build a pond by the investor or hired individuals by the investor. Another practical part presents the percentage appreciation of the construction as a whole, which is divided into the costs associated with the appropriate site selection, project documentation, as well as costs associated with the purchasing of land and the cost of the construction itself. The results of this analysis showed that the avarage financial cost of 1 ha are 1,93 mil CZK. The main finding is that under these financial information is not easy to decide, because even two ponds with the acreage of 3,5 ha could have different budget, depending on the different local conditions. The guiding elements are particularly choice and suitability of the site for the construction. The final finding is, that the financial budget of the whole construction is divided into several parts. The part of pre-implementation, where is included the costs of site selection, land purchasing and project documentation, which is 9,4% of the total cost. The remaining 90,6 % of the cost is spent on the construction, which, based on the financial analysis, is the most costly.
