Physiotherapy at the department of chronic resuscitation and intensive care

The principal aim of the thesis titled "Physiotherapy at Chronic Intensive Care Unit" (CICU) is to describe and analyze the not much known area of physiotherapy at the CICU and the various methods of its utilization. The thesis is structured in order to deal with the system at CICU, the typology of patients, physiotherapeutic methods and the ventilator modes. The patient should be taken care of by the multidisciplinary team which should cooperate in order to achieve a common goal - consecutive weaning followed by the liberating from the ventilator's support. The chapters about ergotherapy and psychological effects complete the overview of the topic. Nursing Care of the Patient with Burn Injury

The aim of my work is to present the issue of burn injuries of the elderly age. The work is split up into two main parts. The first part is a background research and introduction of burn injury on common and concrete level. Further on the work points more on a concrete case of a patient with burn injury. The second part of my work includes very concrete extract from the medical documentation and also comprehensive nursing process according to a model of V. Henderson. The finish of the work is a look in to the future and education plan which recommends to the relatives of the patient how to prevent another burn injury.

Quality of nursing care for patients with fracture of distal radius

The theoretical part is concentrating on describtion of quality of the health care, and also describes problems with injuries, mainly concentraiting on fractures of distal radius,diagnosis,therapy, and nursing aftercare. The main part of the project is qualitative research of patients, following operations on fractures of distal radius, presenting ten case studies. Five of the studies have concentrated on patients following operation with a method of internal osteosynthesis with LCP splint. The other five studies have been done on patients with an external fixation. The research compares total stay of the patient in hospital, the lenght of healing, and number of complications at certain days,which were observed in both groups of patients.(1st,2nd,5th,12th day, 3rd and 7th week, and 3rd and 6th moth).

Educational - curative approaches to drug users with a focus on low - threshold programs

The purpose of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the drug addiction problems, specifically the educational-curative approaches to drug users with a focus on lowthreshold programs. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical basis and practical part. The theoretical part includes four chapters. In the first chapter we can find the definition of the drug addiction concept according to the International Classification of Diseases (MKN-10) and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM IV). The theoretical models of addiction and theoretical approaches used in assistance to drug users are described in this chapter as well. There is also focus on approaches used in psychotherapy of drug addictions. The second chapter gives an overview of the care system in the filed of drug addictions in the Czech Republic. Chapter number three summarizes the drug situation in the Czech Republic in 2007. The fourth part is devoted to low-threshold programs and focusing on approaches and methods of work of these programs. The last chapter is based on the practical research. It is aimed at clientele of low-threshold programs o.s. Sananim (contact centre and street programs), who are the drug users. This dissertation paper analyzes the spiritual services within the law enforcement organizations of the Czech Republic, the specialized biblical and theoretical foundation of such services, the historical frame of the Church entering the law enforcement, the problems of curing psychological stress in law enforcement jobs, and the spiritual services currently rendered to the law enforcement officers. The conclusion summarizes the information processed and examines the future development of the issues involving the spiritual care rendered to the law enforcement officers under the provisions of a modern society.

Title : Position, tasks and education of military nurses and medics in garrison infirmaries. Key words: Miitary medical service of the army of the Czech Republic, military nurse and medic, the law no. 96/2004, it includes for lifetime education, registration, programme of continual military education for nurses after 2006 The main goal was to characterize position, activities and education of military nurses and medics working in garrison infirmaries. To provide a complex view the work was divided into three main parts. The introductory part is focused on the structure of military health care system. The basic element of providing health care in the army, garrison infirmaries, is discussed in detail. The next part is focused on tasks of military nurses and medics in garrison infirmaries and also on their work and position. The last part presents the education of nurses. It briefly summarizes possibilities of education based on the new legislation. The Succession Between Social Care and Institutions for Children and Youth

Mit dieser Arbeit bemühe ich mich festzustellen, was die junge Leute nach der Ende der Anstaltserziehung erwartet. Ich habe meine Untersuchung an das Gebiet Český Brod und die Umgebung eingestellt. Es interessiert mich, wer die Hilfe den jungen Leuten anbietet, die aus den inderheimennd der Erziehunganstalten fortgehen. Diese junge Leute haben keine Familienhinterland, keine Sicherheit, keine Stütze und vornehmlich keine Finanzmittel. Ich habe den jungen Leuten die Fragebogen geschickt, damit ich feststestellen konnte, welche Pläne sie in die Zukunft haben. In diesem Sozialbereich hilft den jungen Menschen nur der Sozialkurator . Die Einwohner der Stadt Český Brod müssen sich das Beispiel nehmen und eine Organisation gründen, die den jungen Leuten mit ihren Problemen hilfsbereit würde, die die Anstaltserziehung hinter sich haben. Mentally-Retarded Children of a Pre-School Age and the Development of Movement Skills

The diploma work covers the issues of children with mental retardation in pre-school age aimed to the development of the movement abilities. It focuses on the relationships between the pre-school child with mental retardation and possibilities of developing its motor skills in context of an organized pre-school education. Theoretical part of the Diploma work indicates the development specifics of the indi- vidual due to mental retardation, describes mainly the movement development of the child with mental retardation, its specifics and possibilities of observation. It addresses the history and current stage of an organized pre-school care of children with mental re- tardation and within the issue, it points out the position of physical training / education within the educational process of the Kindergarten. Practical part proves on cases of children with mental retardation the uniqueness and typicality of development of such children. By the proposed possible motion activities and games for children with mental retardation attending Kindergarten, its aim is to em- phasize on the importance and ineligibility of intentional development of motor skills, and by that also of the whole personality of the child with mental retardation. Economic Impacts of Nosocomial Clostridium Difficile Infection in a Health Care Facility

Nosocomial infections represent for the health care providers serious economical and also health complications. The aim of this thesis is a comprehensive presentation of nosocomial infections. Second part focuses on a bacteria Clostridium difficile. This thesis analyzes epidemiological situation in a particular medical care facility together with the cost of therapy. The incidence of Clostridium difficile is, despite of the worldwide increasing trend, decreasing in the selected facility. Significant differences exist among individual departments in the amount of samples collected as well as in their rate of positivity for the bacteria presence. Data collected are applied to a German pharmacoeconomic model which compares vancomycin therapy with fidaxomicin therapy. On a group of 100 patients it was proved that more efficient is, despite of its higher price, treatment by fidaxomicin because it leads to a lower percentage of recurrences and morbidity and mortality decrease.
